So why do you enter brawl tourneys???

Because since there are no advanced tactics to worry about you figure you'll do fine???

Just because you don't now some advanced tactics doesn't mean it won't be fun/you can't improve by going!!!

Don't take this post as being mean, I simply have just never understood the mindset of, "there is no point in going, I'd just lose"!!!

I mean how do you expect to get better, if you always think that about melee tourneys???

:colorful:
You're right. Honestly I didn't know anything about melee or brawl when I got competitive for Brawl, I was trying to figure out what stuff like bair, nair, and dair meant. I just like to play knowing whats going on, but maybe I'll just practice a little. I don't mind losing either, I don't place good in Brawl tournaments and still go to them haha.

Ive never won a tourney the only tourneys i ever did well were super super super small ones lmao
Duckroll i got 2nd with like 10 people there (took longer getting there than finishing the tourney lol)
Very last melee gigs i got 4th but only cuz there were only 15-20 or so people there.

Melee tournaments are just fun i love going just for the competitive spirit. Both players doing their best to win that kinda stuff. I love the feeling of being in a tournament match or CREWSS omg i love crews.
I always do well in crews (except that one time i played marth, and that one time i played queen lol)

I used to get last place every tourney for about a year i never won any tourney matches.
I just had alot of fun going, the experience really helped too. I dont regret givin my money to colbol every month, i learned alot.

btw im not saying it will take u a year to get good
I just sucked so bad that it took that long for me to learn anything

Hungrybox got top 10 status in FL in 6 months
Marin is near my level and she started a year ago
Sick some falcon guy was incredibly nastee and he played for like 3-5 months competitively (well i didnt really see him before that)
There are alot of people i knew especially towards the end of melee that were getting really really good, like better than me and alot of other people, that played for less than half a year.

There are slow learners like me and then there are fast ones.
playing a top tier character is also a really fast way to get good even if you intend to play like..yoshi.

Zoro..your awsome.
hbox owns FAST1...I wish i can be there too

anyways...

It been a year since I play melee, I started off with Ggah then mained Falcon. So now I play falcon as maind and Ggah as secondary. My falcon still good but not at a pro level yet...my ggah skills went down the bucket X.x. Nevertheless, I get inspiration from hiro, zoro and eric to contineu to traininig XP.

best matches so far from melee was with me and xYz and F-0..
ganon matches would be linguini and Renth <3
