After watching these matchs i am very confused on how to play samus, these guys TACtics dont look very good at all but they are playing at a extremely high level. Notice the super missiles apposed to the homos and aerials. I caught like 12 oppurtunities for a good aerial combo and they tend to use missiles instead. These 3 matchups are tough for most samus players so play similar to this and see what happens. Discuss your opinions because i am very confused right now.

well.....all i can say is tudor move on out, xyro sit on down, and rohins, step on back cause chinas' teken(<speled tto be a pun) over. .... but to do so they have to learn the dair to upB combo. or, use up b at all for that matter. i didn't see it once as a damage builder T.T
but all in all, i feel they play ummm, i really don't know how to put it exactly but the closest thing i guess i can say is dare i say, "smarter" samus. one thing i saw that i don't really see in america is super missile to dash attack and i really liked it. a little risk taking with potential sheil grabs but fun none the less imo. ehh, just my 2 cents. oh and anther, watch ya back, china is teken ^u ova.

they're spacing is good. the snake doesn't have much samus experience imo but they are good at using homings missiles to set up grabs. their close range combat imo could be better though. they did good here but they could have combod into stuff better.

I discussed the Japanese samus metagame with rohins and xyro, they both agree that they're nothing new.. if not even a little bit behind us.

i think i just need to see more of them, or see one of them face a horrible player. To me they are either a lot behind us or a lil ahead of us.

An American snake would not make those same mistakes. Snake can easily get around Samus and control her well, he just let her spam zair to homing to dash grab.. And he didn't recover properly either.

If you put that Samus in an American match, the American tendency to be patient and punish would prevail over Japanese rushdown...

There were a lot of things I'd do differently. These videos show a style that (imo) revolves around wearing down the opponent rather than really trying to create traps or pick on the opponents' habbits. Maybe if they get more experience their style will become more refined and they will throw out more aerial combat and have different tricks.

As far as American Samus mains, these Japanese vids remind me of Serris. Notably the use of smash missiles.

L4D?

For the PC?

who has?

A Rifle ftw..
Both n00b and I do.

Add me:
Odyssey1319

I have custom Dead Air and Death Toll for Versus.

Now, back on-topic:

They do play similarly to me, but that won't stop me from ****** them.

EDIT: Jesus Christ. In the Pikachu video, I would have screw attacked at 0:35. THE SAME FREAKIN' TIME!

nothing impressive, you would think snake would learn to sidestep when he saw a Samus running after a homing missile, stopped watching vid, sorry if i offended anyone

looked at vid a little longer cause i felt bad, Samus got blown up a like 5 times in a row by grenades, snake can't kill at 180, stopped watching

i watched the snake match all the way through. stopped after the first minute of the diddy and pika matches. that samus wasn't good and his opponents weren't great either
he couldn't zair low, didn't spam, wasn't fast, liked to be at a distance but wouldn't spam, didn't combo, couldn't follow up attacks, sucked with the charge blast and didn't spam

What does this matter?

these guys are trash to Xyro
What isn't trash to Xyro?

IMO, combining the Japanese rushing/attack the **** out of them and American punishing/camping/spamming works better. It does for me at least.

Also, D-air/Dash Attack/Anything > Screw Attack = 2.6 seconds of ****. <3

i will admit this.

the japanese have a 100% different style when it comes to snakes(bad or good it doesnt matter) and this is interesting because it give US snakes more ideas. The same thing CAN happen with japanese samus players(though it wont be a DRASTIC change in styles). I just hop they find new things or show us new setups. it may take a while but brawl is only 1 year old so we have plenty of time

I've always been a little skeptic about these matches being played by Japanese players. I can't say they're are or aren't, but anyone with the Japanese copy of Brawl could easily do this and possibly gain a title just because they're said to be Japanese. Overall, these matches look messy.

It's a good observation, but I trust that they are real Japanese vids considering the channel.
