I'm usually Top or Jungle, but can do most lanes competently. (cept Mid, still getting runes for that)

Would you be up for playing just the two of us?

Raz and Nike play League.

Both games have a Yorick on the enemy team.

I played Jayce Top and survived the Yorick, but he got a couple kills in the first big teamfight and finished 10/5, we surrendered.

Second game I got forced Mid (my least played role) and did alright, finishing 3/3 as Ahri, while our Top Fiora (ugh) got camped by Singed top + Mundo Jungle, while Viktor roamed around and started dunking people. ******* bought Blue pots. D:

I understood all of this guys, what do you mean?
Funny enough the league thread was also talking about Yorick and I watched you twos first match, Yorick was beating you kinda well until he decided not to buy wards and just harass.

I always forgot executioner's Calling is a thing.

Yeah, that might have helped.

But yeah, it was really just a small wrap-up anecdote about how both games involved a particularly braindead champ. (Yorick)

I don't think executioner's is the way to go against Yorick with Jayce. You're slowing down your build a lot and it doesn't strictly win you your lane. Better just rune up with hp5 and you might consider Offense/Defense hybrid masteries. Makes your mid game usefulness substantially better.

I.... actually really like that.

I think I saw a Custom SSS that was used for this as well?

How did you guys go about agreeing on which stages go in which groups?

If you're talking about P:M @ FC Legacy or Big house 2, that's Jcaesar's list and he uses a different CP system and thus set up his own stagelist / group list.

Ok. Thought experiment time. I want to see if I could shimmy this to work with allowing me to bring back some of the CPs we've lost around here over the years. Grabbing stagelist, gonna edit in as needed.

Gonna use 16. 5 starters, and 2 groups of 4, and a group of 3.

For sure stuff:

Battlefield
Brinstar
Castle Siege
Delfino plaza
Final Destination
Frigate Orpheon
Halberd
Lylat Cruise
Pokemon Stadium 1
Pokemon Stadium 2
Smashville
Yoshi's Island
Rainbow Cruise

CP pool for out there stuff:
Pirate Ship
Norfair
Jungle Japes

Groupings:

Group 1: (Starter - 5)
Battlefield
Smashville
Final Destination
Yoshi's Island
Lylat Cruise

Group 2: (Starter/CP - 4)
Pokemon Stadium 1
Pokemon Stadium 2
Castle Siege
Halberd

Group 3: (Counterpicks - 4)
Frigate Orpheon
Brinstar
Rainbow Cruise
Delfino Plaza

Group 4 (Jank - 3):

Japes
Norfair
Pirate Ship

How does that look to people? Any suggested changes?

Edit 2: Hrmmmm.... I feel like I might not be able to sell Group 4 back to people. I still like the system, even if I was to drop Group 4 entirely and just keep the first 3.

For Brawl, the group category preset that I could see working is something like...

Group 1 [Starters]
Group 2 [Starters/Mild Counterpick]
Group 3 [Moderate Counterpick]
Group 4 [Hard Counterpick]

And for liberals.

Group 5 [Extreme Counterpick]

Use starters as a baseline guide to see what stages go where. Identify traits common in starters ie group 1 and set them as a standard. From there ID stages tha deviate from this base line and sort accordingly. The more they deviate, the more intense it is as a counter, and thusly the higher it should be in groups.

Not only that but groups don't need an even # of stages.

I can't coment since I don't play Brawl anymore haha.

If you want to alter the intensity of the banning, add a group and lower the amount of stages per group, or remove a group and increase the amount.

The prior lowers the power of a group ban and increases the power of the individual ban, while the latter raises group ban power, but decreases single ban power, which may be more desirable if you want more stages in play constantly.
