Correct. If you ledge drop the first available frame, Marth is invincible until he regrabs.

Because he can be edgehogged. Which means he lands onstage with DS landing lag.


The regrab, IMHO, is for offstage edge hogging and as a mixup to your ledgehopping game.

your opponent has to be pretty close to edge hog in most circumstances, yeah you can't JUST stall with up B but it's pretty simple to watch your opponent and adjust accordingly.

I still wouldn't say it's amazing because like all non-meta knight forms of planking it consumes ledge grabs quickly, though

Ledge drop jump and curling around the ledge during your invincibility leaves you with more options as you can ff to ledge regrab in a jiffy.

More options as, if you see the opponent moving you can attack or move onto the stage rather than being forced to dolphin slash to get punished.

Because 9 frame dash grab that breaks everything in the entire universe with fine tuned reactionary senses is the shiz.

11 frame dash to shield is also quite nice.
Im enjoying the different spacing style at the moment.
Its paying off slightly, im finding useful antics with the otherwise useless Marth dash grab (as in timing dash grabs to catch landing lag).

I cant think of a move in this game that has less than 9 frames of cool down except certain aerial landing lag.

watch mike he gets the most grabs... i thinkhe has the best grab game by far and he rewards it by grabbing so much

he times in his dash for the grab extremely well

i think marth's grab is hard to get used to because the dash is so long but the range is so small, especially relative to his other moves
