i forgot to mention in the PM, turning the initial amp totem into a mejais soulstealer instead of a deathfire can also be really, really, good. If you do that and accumulate a bunch of stacks, DEFINITELY shoot for a zhonyas

Yes, I played it, and I'm actually using Yoko as avatar cause apparently she's finally coming soon as DLC character.
HD is a loot game. If you've been a completionist in prior 2Dvanias, this will be your heaven (and your hell as well, as instead of enemy drops - those exist but are not really much - you get good stuff through random chest drops, although every stage has its own exclusive stuff).
Unfortunately, and the demo also really sucks badly - Alucard is one of the less interesting characters to start out with, and not being able to keep stuff in a loot game is pretty meh. Not to mention it's single player.

Single player is alright, but it can be incredibly boring, tiring, and when you start out, extremely difficult. In fact already the second stage's boss is pretty much impossible to beat alone when you start out.
However, if you get a couple of friends together (playing with randoms online isn't really a good choice), they can help you getting through the stages and aid you in getting stuff. It can be really a blast, especially when you play with other Castlevania fans.

HD has a lot of potential to be good, unfortunately only if you have a few people online to play with, otherwise it is not as interesting.

He is actually really good but he plays AD Kennen. He was mid vs my AP Gragas and I killed him 3 times before 12 minutes, but he made the first few levels hard as hell for me

Not right now, but a lot of people are calling for it. Maybe next patch I'm sure. Right now I don't think there's much you can do against it haha

LOL yeah the 30% slow is nasty on kat since she can spam SOOOOO MUCH.

Kat sole purpose in games should be a nuker, you should bait the other team to waste there CC so you can jump in and ult freely. Let your teammates worry about tower kills/lane pushing, but even when she goes AP her Q does so much damage over so many units she's fairly good at pushing without the additional AD bonuses.

Actually people have a misconception about Kat. All her moves are actually magical damage. And her ult does get effected by AP, every 10AP = 3 extra damage, not that bad tbh, since she can hit 3 targets 3 times per second. So everyone 10AP = 27 additional damage per second (really nice tbh assuming theres 3 targets to hit).
My build order on her is
Doran Shield + HP Pot
Second buy I try to purchase Boots + Giant Belt (or another part of Rylai)
Third back I try to finish Rylai and then start purchasing additional AP items depending on what they are building. If i see they are stacking MR I try to get magic penetration items, ALSO always get sorc boots unless then are super CC then you purchase threads.

As said... I pray to god we can pull it off. Timing is gonna be kinda tricky; we thought we were a lot further forwards and then Kirk brought us back to reality by reminding us that, yes, about a third of what we have really sucks. So it could be close, I don't know. We'll do our best though.
