We're starting off the DLC characters for DC vs. Marvel: Infinity Crisis with DC villains! (we still have some base game content to cover, but it's either optional material or costumes, and I didn't want the next week or so of jobs to be nothing but costumes)

At the moment, the only DC villains that are in the roster are Lex Luthor, Darkseid, the Joker, Harley Quinn (if she counts), Ra's al Ghul, Deathstroke, and Starro. (though some, like Bizarro or Reverse Flash, are already costumes) Anything else goes, from heavy hitters like Black Adam or Sinestro to lesser-known characters like Animal-Vegetable-Mineral Man or Kite Man. (hell yeah)

In addition to polls for costumes and arcade mode rivalries, the DC vs. Marvel: Infinity Crisis thread is also nominating themes for the DLC characters. We'll be including the top three for DC and the top three for Marvel in the DLC line-up, so this is a chance to effect who could make it in!

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Cowabunga Collection is coming out tomorrow, along with Wesker being added to Dead By Daylight.

I played a few games with Wesker in the Public Test Build (the first time that I had tried out the PTB), and he seemed like fun. His dashes are kind of wonky, but it's fun to be able to slam survivors into walls or throw them around.

Meanwhile, the only game in the Cowabunga Collection that I'd played was the SNES version of TMNT Tournament Fighters (I've played the Xbox 360 remake of Turtles In Time, but from what I've read, it's very different from the original), so I'm looking forward to seeing what the rest of Konami's TMNT line-up was like.

We've finished the base roster for DC vs. Marvel: Infinity Crisis!



Stan Lee and Jack Kirby were involved in making roughly a quarter of the characters in this roster. (there's a lot of overlap between the two)

We've rounded out one side of the roster in DC vs. Marvel: Infinity Crisis by including Cyborg as the final base roster character for DC!



We're currently voting on the last Marvel base character out of the following:

We're also starting the process of adding Premiere Costumes, like Injustice 2 had (where the Flash could become Jay Garrick or Reverse Flash) - they'd be identical gameplay-wise to whatever character they're associated with, so they'd basically be clones that don't take up a roster spot.

For DC vs. Marvel: Infinity Crisis, we're voting on DC characters who debuted in the 2000s.

DC vs. Marvel: Infinity Crisis is nearing the end of its base roster, and we're currently nominating DC characters who first appeared some time in the 2000s. (anywhere from 2000 to 2022) We currently have a grand total of zero of those on the DC side, so the nominations are pretty wide open.

We're also voting on costumes for Lex Luthor and Doctor Doom, and nominating arcade mode rivals for Harley Quinn and Black Panther.

The DC vs. Marvel thread added Doctor Fate to the roster, meaning that there are only two DC characters left in the base roster!

Today, we're voting on which Marvel magic user to include out of the following:

We're also nominating costumes for Magneto, and picking rival battles (similar to Street Fighter 4, right before the final boss fight in arcade mode) for Lex Luthor and Doctor Doom.

Bullet Train was a lot of fun! Great action movie with solid comedic moments, well choreographed (as expected from the director of John Wick and Deadpool 2), and I had a great time.

I'm seeing another movie, the new Dragon Ball one that focuses on Gohan and Piccolo, on Saturday, so this is looking to be a good week for me in that regard.

We got considerably more nominations for DC's magic side than I was expecting for the DC vs. Marvel thread:

For DC, Doctor Fate, Black Adam, Mr. Mxyzptlk, Etrigan, and the Spectre have already been nominated. (Zatanna, Raven, John Constantine, and Shazam are already in the roster)

I almost forgot to mention it, but in the DC vs. Marvel Infinity Crisis thread, today, we're voting on which cosmic Marvel character to include, between the following:

We got a wide variety of nominations for Marvel villains yesterday in the DC vs. Marvel thread, and we're voting on which one to include:

I love the fact that we got nominations like Animal-Vegetable-Mineral Man or Mirror Master - I'm not as familiar with DC as I am with Marvel, so I like seeing these more unusual picks and thinking about how they could work in a fighting game.

We're also nominating a non-Spider-Man Marvel villain, along with costumes for the Hulk.

For DC vs. Marvel: Infinity Crisis, we're nominating a DC villain who isn't a Batman villain. So far, Mirror Master (a Flash villain), Black Manta (Aquaman's arch-nemesis), Ares (a Wonder Woman villain), and Starro the Conqueror (a Justice League villain) have been nominated.

So far, for DC's villains, we have the Joker, Harley Quinn, Ra's al Ghul, Lex Luthor, and Darkseid, so there are a lot of options that haven't been included. (especially from the Flash, Wonder Woman, or Green Lantern rogues galleries)

For DC vs. Marvel: Infinity Crisis, we've added Martian Manhunter and Green Arrow from yesterday's vote. We also decided to include Darkseid and Thanos, as they're the two big threats of the story and we didn't want to run the risk of them not being playable like how Marvel vs. Capcom Infinite saved Sigma for DLC.



For today, we're voting on which Marvel vs. Capcom character to include...

If we get an above-average amount of nominations for this round (so eight or more), then we'll add two characters instead of one.

The DC vs. Marvel: Infinity Crisis thread is currently voting on DC non-Earth stages and nominating Marvel non-Earth stages and costumes for Wolverine.

So far, the nominated stages are Xandar (home of the Nova Corps.), Knowhere (home of the Guardians of the Galaxy), and Taa II (home of Galactus, Devourer of Worlds).

It's a pretty busy day in the DC vs. Marvel: Infinity Crisis thread; we're voting on a story mode premise, a Shazam stage, and a moveset for the Flash, along with nominating a character who hasn't been playable in Injustice.

We're also coming up with a moveset for Wolverine and nominating X-Men characters; the only ones in the roster at the moment are Wolverine and Magneto, so anyone else from that franchise qualifies.

DC vs. Marvel: Infinity Crisis is currently nominating characters from the Teen Titans.


It's worth noting that most of the main characters from Young Justice (at least, from the first season of it - I'm not very far into the show so I'm not sure how much it expands) are eligible, along with any villains that are associated with the team.

Today for DC vs. Marvel: Infinity Crisis, we're nominating stages related to the Justice League (either the whole team or solo members - for example, something like Atlantis is eligible). Unsurprisingly, we'll be doing a similar concept with the Avengers later, though that won't be for a few hours.

Up next on DC vs. Marvel: Infinity Crisis, we're voting on which characters from the DC Extended Universe to add:

We're also nominating characters who have been in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, whether they were in movies, TV shows, or streaming shows. As of now, the only ones that we have in the roster who qualify are Spider-Man, Iron Man, Captain America, the Hulk, and Thor, so there are a lot of options.

The DC vs. Marvel: Infinite Crisis thread is currently nominating characters from DC's cinematic universe; at the moment, we've just got some of the core Justice League members (Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, the Flash, Green Lantern, and Aquaman) and two major villains (the Joker and Lex Luthor) on the DC side of things, so there are still plenty of options to choose from.

We're also voting on an X-Men stage between the Savage Land, Krakoa, and the Danger Room.
