  • Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Cowabunga Collection is coming out tomorrow, along with Wesker being added to Dead By Daylight.

I played a few games with Wesker in the Public Test Build (the first time that I had tried out the PTB), and he seemed like fun. His dashes are kind of wonky, but it's fun to be able to slam survivors into walls or throw them around.

Meanwhile, the only game in the Cowabunga Collection that I'd played was the SNES version of TMNT Tournament Fighters (I've played the Xbox 360 remake of Turtles In Time, but from what I've read, it's very different from the original), so I'm looking forward to seeing what the rest of Konami's TMNT line-up was like.
We've rounded out one side of the roster in DC vs. Marvel: Infinity Crisis by including Cyborg as the final base roster character for DC!

We're currently voting on the last Marvel base character out of the following:

top to bottom, left to right: Namor, the Punisher, the Maker (Ultimate Reed Richards), Hawkeye (Clint Barton), Ant-Man (Scott Lang), Howard the Duck, Moon Knight, Iceman, Gwenpool, the Wasp (Janet van Dyne), Hit-Monkey

We're also nominating costumes for Nightwing and Cyclops; we're about halfway through the roster when it comes to costumes.
For DC vs. Marvel: Infinity Crisis, we're nearing the end of the base roster. We're voting on the final spot for DC's side between the following:

(top to bottom, left to right: Crazy Jane, Rorschach, Cyborg, Gorilla Grodd, Black Adam, General Zod, Arm-Fall-Off Boy, Power Girl, Swamp Thing, Booster Gold, Dogwelder)

...and we're nominating the last Marvel character for the base roster. Here's the Marvel side of the line-up so far:

    1. Spider-Man (Peter Parker)
    2. Iron Man (Tony Stark)
    3. Wolverine (Logan)
    4. Captain America (Steve Rogers)
    5. The Hulk (Bruce Banner)
    6. Thor (Odinson)
    7. Magneto
    8. Doctor Doom
    9. Doctor Strange
    10. Black Panther (T'Challa)
    11. Deadpool
    12. Cyclops (Scott Summers)
    13. The Thing (Ben Grimm)
    14. Daredevil (Matt Murdock)
    15. Ms. Marvel (Kamala Khan)
    16. Storm
    17. Captain Marvel (Carol Danvers)
    18. Doctor Octopus
    19. Ghost Rider (Johnny Blaze)
    20. Venom (Eddie Brock)
    21. Loki
    22. Rocket Raccoon and Groot
    23. Scarlet Witch
    24. Ultimate Spider-Man (Miles Morales)
    25. Thanos

Anyone else goes; the current nominations range from characters like Howard the Duck to the Punisher.
The DC vs. Marvel: Infinity Crisis thread is having its DC wildcard round today! We're on the final DC character for the base roster, so anything goes, basically. For references, this is the current DC side of the roster:

    1. Superman (Clark Kent)
    2. Batman (Bruce Wayne)
    3. Wonder Woman (Diana Prince)
    4. The Flash (Barry Allen)
    5. Aquaman (Arthur Curry)
    6. Green Lantern (Hal Jordan)
    7. The Joker
    8. Lex Luthor
    9. Shazam
    10. Harley Quinn
    11. Raven
    12. Nightwing (Richard Grayson)
    13. Plastic Man
    14. John Constantine
    15. Zatanna
    16. Black Canary (Dinah Lance)
    17. Ra's al Ghul
    18. Catwoman (Selina Kyle)
    19. Martian Manhunter
    20. Green Arrow (Oliver Queen)
    21. Deathstroke
    22. Starro the Conqueror
    23. Doctor Fate (Kent Nelson)
    24. Blue Beetle (Jaime Reyes)
    25. Darkseid

We're also deciding how many premiere costumes (ones where she becomes a different character, like the Flash having a Reverse Flash costume) Wonder Woman will have - the poll's currently tied.
DC vs. Marvel: Infinity Crisis added Blue Beetle to the roster...

(meaning that there's only one more DC character left for the base game), and we're currently voting on which 2000s Marvel character to add between the following:

(top to bottom, left to right: America Chavez, Nadia van Dyne, Miles Morales, Negasonic Teenage Warhead, Gwenpool, the Sentry)

We're also starting the process of adding Premiere Costumes, like Injustice 2 had (where the Flash could become Jay Garrick or Reverse Flash) - they'd be identical gameplay-wise to whatever character they're associated with, so they'd basically be clones that don't take up a roster spot.
For DC vs. Marvel: Infinity Crisis, we're voting on DC characters who debuted in the 2000s.

(top to bottom, left to right: Red Hood (Jason Todd), Naomi McDuffie, Onomatopoeia, Blue Beetle (Jaime Reyes), Green Lantern (Jessica Cruz), Aqualad (Jackson Hyde), Orpheus)

We're also nominating Marvel characters from the 2000s, along with costumes for Shazam and Doctor Strange.
DC vs. Marvel: Infinity Crisis is nearing the end of its base roster, and we're currently nominating DC characters who first appeared some time in the 2000s. (anywhere from 2000 to 2022) We currently have a grand total of zero of those on the DC side, so the nominations are pretty wide open.

We're also voting on costumes for Lex Luthor and Doctor Doom, and nominating arcade mode rivals for Harley Quinn and Black Panther.
The DC vs. Marvel thread added Doctor Fate to the roster, meaning that there are only two DC characters left in the base roster!

Today, we're voting on which Marvel magic user to include out of the following:

Top to bottom, left to right: Hela, Nico Minoru, the Black Knight, Scarlet Witch, Magik, Elsa Bloodstone, Dormammu, the Hood

We're also nominating costumes for Magneto, and picking rival battles (similar to Street Fighter 4, right before the final boss fight in arcade mode) for Lex Luthor and Doctor Doom.
Bullet Train was a lot of fun! Great action movie with solid comedic moments, well choreographed (as expected from the director of John Wick and Deadpool 2), and I had a great time.

I'm seeing another movie, the new Dragon Ball one that focuses on Gohan and Piccolo, on Saturday, so this is looking to be a good week for me in that regard.
We got considerably more nominations for DC's magic side than I was expecting for the DC vs. Marvel thread:

Top to bottom, left to right: Etrigan, Doctor Fate, Black Adam, Vixen, Mr. Mxyzptlk, the Spectre, Deadman, Dream, Timothy Hunter, Lucifer

I thought we had covered most of DC's main magic users between Constantine, Zatanna, Raven, and Shazam, but it turns out that a lot of them are in the Vertigo line of books, which I know nothing about.

We're also nominating magic users from Marvel today.
We got a wide variety of nominations for Marvel villains yesterday in the DC vs. Marvel thread, and we're voting on which one to include:

(top to bottom, left to right: Baron Zemo, Ulysses Klaw, Dormammu, Fin Fang Foom, Ultron, Namor, the Maker, Loki, Taskmaster, Kang the Conqueror, Bullseye)

We're also breaking a tie between Deathstroke and Starro on the DC side (or determining whether to include both of them), along with voting on costumes for the Hulk and discussing possible plans for DLC once we get to that point.
We got a lot of nominations in the DC vs. Marvel: Infinity Crisis thread for a non-Batman DC villain:

Top to bottom, left to right: Ares, Sinestro, Animal-Vegetable-Mineral Man, Deathstroke, Doomsday, Black Manta, Ragdoll, Starro the Conqueror, Gorilla Grodd, Captain Cold, Mirror Master

We'll only be including one of them, though there will be chances for the others to get in later. I love the fact that we got nominations like Animal-Vegetable-Mineral Man or Mirror Master - I'm not as familiar with DC as I am with Marvel, so I like seeing these more unusual picks and thinking about how they could work in a fighting game.

We're also nominating a non-Spider-Man Marvel villain, along with costumes for the Hulk.

Mirror master isn’t that unusual, he’s a pretty major flash villain

Sure, but he seems like a step below Captain Cold, Gorilla Grodd, or Reverse Flash when it comes to noteworthy Flash villains, and his powers are unconventional for a fighting game, so it's interesting to think of how he'd work.

a step bellow the 3 arch enemies is still something. as for how he'd sight I imagine the person who nomed him would suggest teleporting and shattering mirrors over people.
For DC vs. Marvel: Infinity Crisis, we're nominating a DC villain who isn't a Batman villain. So far, Mirror Master (a Flash villain), Black Manta (Aquaman's arch-nemesis), Ares (a Wonder Woman villain), and Starro the Conqueror (a Justice League villain) have been nominated.

So far, for DC's villains, we have the Joker, Harley Quinn, Ra's al Ghul, Lex Luthor, and Darkseid, so there are a lot of options that haven't been included. (especially from the Flash, Wonder Woman, or Green Lantern rogues galleries)
For DC vs. Marvel: Infinity Crisis, we've added Martian Manhunter and Green Arrow from yesterday's vote. We also decided to include Darkseid and Thanos, as they're the two big threats of the story and we didn't want to run the risk of them not being playable like how Marvel vs. Capcom Infinite saved Sigma for DLC.

For today, we're voting on which Marvel vs. Capcom character to include...

(top to bottom, left to right: Rogue, Sentinel, M.O.D.O.K., Ghost Rider, Rocket Raccoon, Venom, Super-Skrull)

...along with nominating costumes for Captain America and stage ideas for DC teams/organizations that aren't the Justice League.
DC vs. Marvel: Infinity Crisis is voting on which Injustice character to include out of the following:

(top to bottom, left to right: Doctor Fate, Green Arrow, Lobo, Black Adam, Darkseid, Martian Manhunter, Deathstroke)

We're also nominating Marvel characters who have been playable in Marvel vs. Capcom today, along with suggesting ideas for Thor's moveset.
For DC vs. Marvel: Infinity Crisis, we're nominating arcade mode endings for any two characters (I thought I'd try taking a break from going through the roster in order, in case people have ideas for one specific character), along with nominating DC characters from the Injustice games. The roster's got a lot of overlap as is with Injustice (the only exceptions are Plastic Man, John Constantine, and Ra's al Ghul), but I figure there's a lot of major characters who still could get in, considering that we don't have:

    -Ares
    -The Atom
    -Atrocitus
    -Bane
    -Batgirl (Barbara Gordon)
    -Black Adam
    -Black Canary
    -Black Manta
    -Blue Beetle (Jamie Reyes)
    -Brainiac
    -Captain Cold
    -Catwoman
    -Cheetah
    -Cyborg
    -Darkseid
    -Deadshot
    -Deathstroke
    -Doctor Fate
    -Doomsday
    -Enchantress
    -Firestorm
    -Gorilla Grodd
    -Green Arrow
    -Hawkgirl
    -Killer Frost
    -Lobo
    -Martian Manhunter
    -Poison Ivy
    -Red Hood
    -Robin (Damian Wayne)
    -Scarecrow
    -Sinestro
    -Solomon Grundy
    -Starfire
    -Supergirl
    -Swamp Thing
    -Zatanna
    -Zod
For DC vs. Marvel: Infinity Crisis, we just added Ra's al Ghul and Catwoman to the roster, and we're voting on which Spider-Man character to include out of these:

(top to bottom, left to right: Dr. Octopus, Green Goblin, Sandman, Mysterio, Venom, Big Wheel, Miles Morales)

We're also nominating a stage for any of the DC characters who don't have one, which would be the Joker, Lex Luthor, Harley Quinn, Raven, Nightwing (unless you count the Batcave), Plastic Man, Constantine, Zatanna, Black Canary, Ra's al Ghul, or Catwoman. (unless you count the Batcave)
I posted it a bit earlier than normal, but in the DC vs. Marvel: Infinity Crisis thread, we're voting on Batman characters out of the following...

(top to bottom, left to right: Talon, Firefly, Clayface, Bane, Poison Ivy, Ra's al Ghul, Scarecrow, Catwoman, Deathstroke)

...and nominating Spider-Man characters. (so far, Venom, Doc Ock, and Mysterio have been nominated)
The DC vs. Marvel: Infinity Crisis thread is voting on which DC women to include out of the following:

(top to bottom, left to right: Hawkgirl, Zatanna, Black Canary, Catwoman, Power Girl, Crazy Jane)

...along with nominating Marvel women to include in the roster. At the moment, the only Marvel woman in the line-up is Ms. Marvel (specifically Kamala Khan), so any other one is fair game.
The DC vs. Marvel: Infinity Crisis thread is voting on characters to include that weren't in Marvel vs. Capcom, and we got more nominations than usual:

(top to bottom, left to right: the Punisher, Nightcrawler, the Vision, Scarlet Witch, Daredevil, Namor, the Thing, Howard the Duck, Ms. Marvel, Blade, Loki, Gwenpool)

We're also nominating Iron Man costumes and throwing out ideas for character interactions before a match.
DC vs. Marvel: Infinity Crisis is voting on characters who weren't in Injustice to include in the roster:

(top to bottom, left to right: Ra's al Ghul, the Penguin, John Constantine, Cyborg Superman, Starro the Conqueror, Clayface, Plastic Man, Static, Big Barda, Ragdoll)

In addition, we're also nominating Marvel characters who weren't playable in Marvel vs. Capcom games, so if you want to include the likes of any of the Fantastic Four (I still find it weird that none of them made it into Marvel vs. Capcom), Scarlet Witch, Loki, Ms. Marvel, Squirrel Girl, the Green Goblin, America Chavez, etc., feel free to nominate them!
It's a pretty busy day in the DC vs. Marvel: Infinity Crisis thread; we're voting on a story mode premise, a Shazam stage, and a moveset for the Flash, along with nominating a character who hasn't been playable in Injustice.

For reference, the only DC characters who wouldn't be eligible are the ones who are already in the roster and these ones:

    -Ares
    -The Atom
    -Atrocitus
    -Bane
    -Batgirl (Barbara Gordon)
    -Black Adam
    -Black Canary
    -Black Manta
    -Blue Beetle (Jamie Reyes)
    -Brainiac
    -Captain Cold
    -Catwoman
    -Cheetah
    -Cyborg
    -Darkseid
    -Deadshot
    -Deathstroke
    -Doctor Fate
    -Doomsday
    -Enchantress
    -Firestorm
    -Gorilla Grodd
    -Green Arrow
    -Hawkgirl
    -Killer Frost
    -Lobo
    -Martian Manhunter
    -Poison Ivy
    -Red Hood
    -Robin (Damian Wayne)
    -Scarecrow
    -Sinestro
    -Solomon Grundy
    -Starfire
    -Supergirl
    -Swamp Thing
    -Zatanna
    -Zod
Today for DC vs. Marvel: Infinity Crisis, we're voting on the following X-Men characters:

(top to bottom, left to right: Nightcrawler, Storm, Professor X, Iceman, Gambit, Phoenix, Deadpool, Cyclops)

As well, we're voting on Wolverine's moveset, nominating costumes for Batman, and nominating ideas for bonus rounds in arcade mode.
The DC vs. Marvel: Infinity Crisis thread is voting on which Teen Titans characters should be included, out of these nominations:

(top to bottom, left to right: Nightwing, Cyborg, Beast Boy, Raven, Starfire, the Atom, Terra)

We're also coming up with a moveset for Wolverine and nominating X-Men characters; the only ones in the roster at the moment are Wolverine and Magneto, so anyone else from that franchise qualifies.
Up next on DC vs. Marvel: Infinity Crisis, we're voting on which characters from the DC Extended Universe to add:

(From top to bottom, left to right: Harley Quinn, Black Adam, Shazam/Captain Marvel, Cyborg, Doomsday, Black Canary, Black Manta)

We're also nominating characters who have been in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, whether they were in movies, TV shows, or streaming shows. As of now, the only ones that we have in the roster who qualify are Spider-Man, Iron Man, Captain America, the Hulk, and Thor, so there are a lot of options.
The DC vs. Marvel: Infinite Crisis thread is currently nominating characters from DC's cinematic universe; at the moment, we've just got some of the core Justice League members (Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, the Flash, Green Lantern, and Aquaman) and two major villains (the Joker and Lex Luthor) on the DC side of things, so there are still plenty of options to choose from.

We're also voting on an X-Men stage between the Savage Land, Krakoa, and the Danger Room.
My Marvel vs. DC thread is currently voting on various villains to vex the roster.

Top to bottom, left to right: Lex Luthor, Doomsday, Bane, Black Adam, Darkseid, Deathstroke, Damien Darhk, the Joker

Top to bottom, left to right: Crimson Dynamo, Magneto, Doctor Doom, Thanos, Venom, Loki, Morbius, Ultron

Also, this morning's mini-Direct turned out much better than I expected! Nier Automata and Persona 3-5 on the Switch are all great, the Dragon Quest Treasures spin-off looks interesting, and the Switch release of Portal 1 and 2 comes out today. Blanc looks cute, but I can't help but feel that the game is going to end in tragedy.
