I'm nearing the end of the original Justice League series - I'm on Comfort And Joy (a Christmas episode and the only one-parter of the original series), so I've got that, Wild Cards (a 2-parter) and Starcrossed (a 3-parter) to watch before I can begin Justice League Unlimited!
Admittedly, I was spoiled on the twist of Starcrossed (the Bluray's special features gave it away, and even if they hadn't, it's not exactly a secret at this point), but beyond that and the Joker's involvement in Wild Cards (his last appearance in the DCAU outside of the Batman Beyond movie - lousy Bat-Embargo...), I'm not sure what else is involved in this season.
As for Justice League Unlimited, all I know is that it seems to focus pretty heavily on Green Arrow, Black Canary, the Question, and Huntress, and I'm not even sure how accurate that is. (what little I've seen of the season on Youtube seems to involve at least one of them) Also, I know that Shazam (or as he was known back then, Captain Marvel) appears in one episode, and J.K. Simmons (the actor who is well-known for playing J. Jonah Jameson) makes an appearance.
