  • As a result of the vote for Avengers villains, we've added Ultron to DC vs. Marvel: Infinity Crisis!

Considering that he's been nominated as far back as the second Marvel character job, this felt overdue, and it's great to see more Marvel villains being added to the line-up! (we have Doctor Doom, Doctor Octopus, and Loki, but other examples like Magneto and Venom haven't been considered fully villainous for a long time)
Here are the nominees for the Avengers villain round of DC vs. Marvel: Infinity Crisis:

(top to bottom, left to right: Kang the Conqueror, Namor, Baron Zemo, Ultron, the Mandarin, M.O.D.O.K., Proctor)

Proctor is an evil clone of the Avengers member Dane Whitman/the Black Knight.

We're also nominating costume packs and continuing nominations for Gorilla Grodd's moveset.

I love that you explained the one character I didn’t know

fogbadge fogbadge haha yeah; I figured he's the least-known of those options (since to my knowledge, he hasn't been adapted to other media), so an explanation couldn't hurt

Champion of Hyrule Champion of Hyrule : here's what sticks out to me:

Top to bottom, left to right: Animal Vegetable Mineral Man (DC), Big Wheel (Marvel), Fin Fang Foom (Marvel), Patsy Walker (Marvel) (not even the Hellcat version - the romance comics version), Bat-Mite (DC), the Atom (Al Pratt) (DC), Proctor (Marvel), Onomatopoeia (DC), Blue Marvel (Marvel), Space Cabbie (DC), Crimson Dynamo (Marvel), Iron Fist (Lin Lie) (Marvel), Crazy Jane (DC), Dogwelder (DC), Damien Darhk (DC), Ragdoll (DC), Gwenpool (Marvel), Hit-Monkey (Marvel)

Full disclosure: I've nominated at least two of these.

(Gwenpool feels like she's stretching it, since she's had several series, but I wanted to make it so both sides had an even amount. Iron Fist and the Atom are well-known, but Lin Lie is a very recent holder of the mantle, and when people say the Atom, they aren't going to think of the short guy who has no powers but is good at punching)

if anyone ever makes the obscure comic characters thread i think i'll have to join in
Here are the nominees for DC vs. Marvel: Infinity Crisis's Flash villain round:

(top to bottom, left to right: Godspeed, Black Flash, Captain Cold, Captain Boomerang, Mirror Master, Gorilla Grodd, Cicada, King Shark)

A Flash villain definitely felt overdue, given how varied his rogues gallery is.

We're also nominating a DC stage today.
We've added our Marvel Knights character for DC vs. Marvel: Infinity Crisis. It was a close one (a single vote could have completely changed the outcome, since seven of the eight characters could have possibly been in first or tied for it), but in the end, the winner was the Sentry, thanks to PinkFlare PinkFlare 's detailed/thorough write-up!

Today, we're nominating a boss character for Marvel, and the moveset job for Poison Ivy is still open.
Here are the nominees for DC vs. Marvel: Infinity Crisis's Marvel Knights round!

Top to bottom, left to right: Shang-Chi, the Punisher, Ant-Man, Namor, Black Widow, Blade, The Sentry, Moon Knight

We're voting on those today, along with nominating costumes for Poison Ivy.

To be honest, I'm a little surprised that Black Bolt didn't even get nominated. (admittedly, his dialogue wouldn't be much to write home about, and I probably could have nominated him myself but I went with Ant-Man instead)
We're kicking off the second season of DLC for DC vs. Marvel: Infinity Crisis with Poison Ivy!

Today, we're nominating characters who appeared in the Marvel Knights imprint (a "mature readers" imprint, though not to the extent of the MAX comics), which runs the gamut from the Inhumans to the Punisher to an Ant-Man and the Wasp Christmas special.

We're also nominating movesets for Poison Ivy.
For DC vs. Marvel: Infinity Crisis, we're voting on a Batman character to add out of the following:

(top to bottom, left to right: Red Hood, Batwoman, Poison Ivy, Clayface, Talon, Black Mask, Batgirl, Scarecrow, the Riddler, Mr. Freeze, Bat-Mite)

We got a lot of nominations for this round; it's understandable, since it's Batman, but there were a lot that I didn't expect. (though I was hoping someone would nominate Bat-Mite, even if it was so I had an excuse to reference Peacemaker's description of him as "a two foot tall interdimensional imp who stans Batman." I can't believe that he's canon in the DCEU)

The Riddler and Mister Freeze are other highlights that I didn't wind up voting for.
With October coming up, I'm thinking about movies to watch for this month; I'm not much of a horror movie fan, but I find that I'm generally fine with older horror movies. (at least, when I'm watching them in the comfort of my own home)

    So far, my plans are...

    -Friday the 13th Part 2
-Friday the 13th Part 3 (I'm interested to see the ones with human Jason)
-Friday the 13th Part VIII: Jason Takes Manhattan (mostly because it seems so ridiculous - might just stop at 2 and 3, though)
-Halloween 4 (I've seen 1, 2, and 3, along with the latest two)
-Scream 2 (when it comes to that series, I've only ever watched the first Scream)
-Scary Movie (technically not a scary movie, but I don't think I've ever seen it)

I might also watch Halloween Ends, though I'm going to wait for reviews for that one; I liked Halloween (2018), though watching it in a theater had me on edge like nothing I'd ever seen, but Halloween Kills was okay. (I watched that at home after seeing how bad the reviews were)

My problem with it was that Laurie was side-lined and stuck in a hospital bed for the whole movie, meaning that the conflict boiled down to Michael Myers (a remorseless killer) vs. an angry mob where most of them made the dumbest decisions possible, so there wasn't really anyone to root for. It had some good moments, but I was glad that I didn't see it in a theater. (I'm hoping Halloween Ends is more along the line of the 2018 one, though going by the speculation that I've seen based on the trailers, I'm not sure if it will be)

This is very late but I'm here to promote The Evil Dead.

Infinity Sorcerer Infinity Sorcerer - I've seen Evil Dead 2 and Army of Darkness, at least. By my understanding, Evil Dead 1 and the pseudo-remake are more straight-up horror, while I prefer the comedy side of the franchise.

I know Ash vs. the Evil Dead is on Netflix, at least in Canada, so I can watch some episodes of that.
We've finished the first season of DLC for DC vs. Marvel: Infinity Crisis (the character roster, at least), and this is how it turned out:

    Black AdamGambit
    Mister MiracleSquirrel Girl
    Power GirlHawkeye (Kate Bishop)
    Scott Pilgrim (guest)Invincible (guest)

As a result, this is what the full roster looks like, including the DLC so far:

Do any characters stick out to you as missing? Or are there any surprises?

Today, we're nominating rivals for Power Girl and Hawkeye, along with nominating packs of DLC costumes.
We're wrapping up the first season of DLC in DC vs. Marvel: Infinity Crisis with a Marvel legacy character round, and here are our nominees!

Top to bottom, left to right: Elektra, Iron Fist (Lin Lie), Luke Cage, Hawkeye (Kate Bishop), Falcon (or Captain America - either way, it's Sam Wilson), Winter Soldier, Hawkeye (Clint Barton), Ant-Man (Hank Pym)

We're also nominating a DC boss for a boss challenge mode.
For DC vs. Marvel: Infinity Crisis, we've added Power Girl as a Justice Society representative!

Somewhat surprisingly, she's only the second Kryptonian (and third Superman character, if we're counting the New Gods as separate) in the roster.

We're currently working our way through the costumes for the DLC characters, and tomorrow, we'll be nominating Marvel legacy characters (characters who have taken on an identity that was previously used by someone else, like Barry Allen or Wally West as the Flash, or Sam Wilson or Bucky Barnes as Captain America - here's a (likely incomplete) list of examples from Marvel)
We're voting on which member of the Justice Society to include today for DC vs. Marvel: Infinity Crisis, along with nominating costumes for Invincible.

(Top to bottom, left to right: Hawkgirl, Power Girl, Mister Terrific, Stargirl, the Atom, Cyclone)

In addition, we added Angstrom Levy from Invincible as a boss thanks to PinkFlare PinkFlare 's detailed nomination, and we're voting on who to add between Galactus or the Beyonder (or if we'll add both of them).
For DC vs. Marvel: Infinity Crisis, we're voting for bosses for a Boss Challenge mode, out of the following:

Top to bottom, left to right: Galactus (Marvel), Cyborg Superman (DC), The Beyonder (Marvel), Godspeed (DC), Angstrom Levy (Image), Trigon (DC), Mister Sinister (Marvel), the Juggernaut (Marvel)

As well, we're nominating members of the Justice Society to include as DLC. They're a team that I know very little about, so I'm interested to see who gets chosen.
For DC vs. Marvel: Infinity Crisis, we're nominating women from Marvel for the DLC line-up. As of now, that line-up consists of the following:

    -Ms. Marvel (Kamala Khan)
    -Captain Marvel (Carol Danvers)
-Monica Rambeau (premiere costume for Captain Marvel)
    -Loki (premiere costume for Loki)
    -The Wasp (Janet van Dyne)
    -Storm
-Nadia van Dyne (premiere costume for the Wasp)
    -Scarlet Witch
-Ghost Spider (premiere costume for Spider-Man)
-Captain Carter (premiere costume for Captain America)
-Agatha Harkness (old) (premiere costume for Scarlet Witch)
-Agatha Harkness (young) (premiere costume for Scarlet Witch)

Any woman from Marvel that you don't see up there is eligible.
DC vs. Marvel: Infinity Crisis has started voting on the DC cosmic round, with the following nominees:

Top to bottom, left to right: Hawkgirl, Mister Miracle, Hawkman, Starfire, Lobo, Big Barda, Space Cabbie, Dr. Manhattan

As well, we're finishing off the premiere costumes for the base roster, voting on which Gambit moveset to use, and nominating a Marvel stage for DLC.
For DC vs. Marvel: Infinity Crisis, we're voting on guest characters, and as we're stepping outside of Marvel and DC content for this one job, we've definitely got a varied line-up:

Top to bottom, left to right: Spawn, Invincible, Charlie Brown and Snoopy, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Judge Dredd, Deku, Ultraman, Scott Pilgrim, Billy Butcher (the Boys), Asterix and Obelix

We're also nominating costumes for Thanos and Darkseid, which finishes off the regular cosumes for the base roster.
Today for DC vs. Marvel: Infinity Crisis, we're nominating guest characters for the roster! Comic book characters or superhero characters are eligible for this, and the top two will be included.

We've also finished off the movesets for the base roster, and we're almost done with the base roster's costumes. (just Cyborg, the Wasp, Darkseid, and Thanos left)
We've added Black Adam to DC vs. Marvel: Infinity Crisis, just in time for the new trailer!

The timing worked out pretty well, all things considered. We'll be nominating movesets for him over the next few days.

In addition, we're voting on an X-Men DLC character out of the following options:

Top to bottom, left to right: Nightcrawler, Rogue, Psylocke, Gambit, Cable, Iceman, Magik
For DC vs. Marvel: Infinity Crisis, we're nominating costumes for Starro the Conqueror and Rocket Raccoon and Groot, so we've only got a few more to go after this. (Dr. Fate, Scarlet Witch, Blue Beetle (Jaime Reyes), Ultimate Spider-Man (Miles Morales), Cyborg, the Wasp, Darkseid, and Thanos)

We're also nominating X-Men-related characters for DLC. At the moment, there aren't a ton of them in the roster (Wolverine, Magneto, Deadpool, Cyclops, and Storm), so there are a lot of possible options.
We're voting on which DC villain to add to DC vs. Marvel: Infinity Crisis as part of the DLC line-up.

Top to bottom, left to right: Black Adam, General Zod, Captain Cold, Brainiac, Captain Boomerang, Gorilla Grodd, Cheetah, King Shark

We're also nearing the end of the costumes for the base game roster.
We're starting off the DLC characters for DC vs. Marvel: Infinity Crisis with DC villains! (we still have some base game content to cover, but it's either optional material or costumes, and I didn't want the next week or so of jobs to be nothing but costumes)

At the moment, the only DC villains that are in the roster are Lex Luthor, Darkseid, the Joker, Harley Quinn (if she counts), Ra's al Ghul, Deathstroke, and Starro. (though some, like Bizarro or Reverse Flash, are already costumes) Anything else goes, from heavy hitters like Black Adam or Sinestro to lesser-known characters like Animal-Vegetable-Mineral Man or Kite Man. (hell yeah)
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Cowabunga Collection is coming out tomorrow, along with Wesker being added to Dead By Daylight.

I played a few games with Wesker in the Public Test Build (the first time that I had tried out the PTB), and he seemed like fun. His dashes are kind of wonky, but it's fun to be able to slam survivors into walls or throw them around.

Meanwhile, the only game in the Cowabunga Collection that I'd played was the SNES version of TMNT Tournament Fighters (I've played the Xbox 360 remake of Turtles In Time, but from what I've read, it's very different from the original), so I'm looking forward to seeing what the rest of Konami's TMNT line-up was like.
We've rounded out one side of the roster in DC vs. Marvel: Infinity Crisis by including Cyborg as the final base roster character for DC!

We're currently voting on the last Marvel base character out of the following:

top to bottom, left to right: Namor, the Punisher, the Maker (Ultimate Reed Richards), Hawkeye (Clint Barton), Ant-Man (Scott Lang), Howard the Duck, Moon Knight, Iceman, Gwenpool, the Wasp (Janet van Dyne), Hit-Monkey

We're also nominating costumes for Nightwing and Cyclops; we're about halfway through the roster when it comes to costumes.
For DC vs. Marvel: Infinity Crisis, we're nearing the end of the base roster. We're voting on the final spot for DC's side between the following:

(top to bottom, left to right: Crazy Jane, Rorschach, Cyborg, Gorilla Grodd, Black Adam, General Zod, Arm-Fall-Off Boy, Power Girl, Swamp Thing, Booster Gold, Dogwelder)

...and we're nominating the last Marvel character for the base roster. Here's the Marvel side of the line-up so far:

    1. Spider-Man (Peter Parker)
    2. Iron Man (Tony Stark)
    3. Wolverine (Logan)
    4. Captain America (Steve Rogers)
    5. The Hulk (Bruce Banner)
    6. Thor (Odinson)
    7. Magneto
    8. Doctor Doom
    9. Doctor Strange
    10. Black Panther (T'Challa)
    11. Deadpool
    12. Cyclops (Scott Summers)
    13. The Thing (Ben Grimm)
    14. Daredevil (Matt Murdock)
    15. Ms. Marvel (Kamala Khan)
    16. Storm
    17. Captain Marvel (Carol Danvers)
    18. Doctor Octopus
    19. Ghost Rider (Johnny Blaze)
    20. Venom (Eddie Brock)
    21. Loki
    22. Rocket Raccoon and Groot
    23. Scarlet Witch
    24. Ultimate Spider-Man (Miles Morales)
    25. Thanos

Anyone else goes; the current nominations range from characters like Howard the Duck to the Punisher.
The DC vs. Marvel: Infinity Crisis thread is having its DC wildcard round today! We're on the final DC character for the base roster, so anything goes, basically. For references, this is the current DC side of the roster:

    1. Superman (Clark Kent)
    2. Batman (Bruce Wayne)
    3. Wonder Woman (Diana Prince)
    4. The Flash (Barry Allen)
    5. Aquaman (Arthur Curry)
    6. Green Lantern (Hal Jordan)
    7. The Joker
    8. Lex Luthor
    9. Shazam
    10. Harley Quinn
    11. Raven
    12. Nightwing (Richard Grayson)
    13. Plastic Man
    14. John Constantine
    15. Zatanna
    16. Black Canary (Dinah Lance)
    17. Ra's al Ghul
    18. Catwoman (Selina Kyle)
    19. Martian Manhunter
    20. Green Arrow (Oliver Queen)
    21. Deathstroke
    22. Starro the Conqueror
    23. Doctor Fate (Kent Nelson)
    24. Blue Beetle (Jaime Reyes)
    25. Darkseid

We're also deciding how many premiere costumes (ones where she becomes a different character, like the Flash having a Reverse Flash costume) Wonder Woman will have - the poll's currently tied.
DC vs. Marvel: Infinity Crisis added Blue Beetle to the roster...

(meaning that there's only one more DC character left for the base game), and we're currently voting on which 2000s Marvel character to add between the following:

(top to bottom, left to right: America Chavez, Nadia van Dyne, Miles Morales, Negasonic Teenage Warhead, Gwenpool, the Sentry)

We're also starting the process of adding Premiere Costumes, like Injustice 2 had (where the Flash could become Jay Garrick or Reverse Flash) - they'd be identical gameplay-wise to whatever character they're associated with, so they'd basically be clones that don't take up a roster spot.
For DC vs. Marvel: Infinity Crisis, we're voting on DC characters who debuted in the 2000s.

(top to bottom, left to right: Red Hood (Jason Todd), Naomi McDuffie, Onomatopoeia, Blue Beetle (Jaime Reyes), Green Lantern (Jessica Cruz), Aqualad (Jackson Hyde), Orpheus)

We're also nominating Marvel characters from the 2000s, along with costumes for Shazam and Doctor Strange.
DC vs. Marvel: Infinity Crisis is nearing the end of its base roster, and we're currently nominating DC characters who first appeared some time in the 2000s. (anywhere from 2000 to 2022) We currently have a grand total of zero of those on the DC side, so the nominations are pretty wide open.

We're also voting on costumes for Lex Luthor and Doctor Doom, and nominating arcade mode rivals for Harley Quinn and Black Panther.
