    Wasn't expecting another response. Oh well...

    It's one thing to say "any good player can hold off an approaching MK for 8 minutes without KOing all the MKs stock/getting all their stock KOed" and it's another thing entirely to actually do it (just like the effiency of IDC in theory vs. in practice).

    You go to plenty of tourneys. But how many times does a match with MK actually go over the timer because the MK's being camped out by percent? We can name instances where a MK (usually Plank) camps out non-MKs to the timer, but can we name instances where non-MKs camp MK to the timer? No we can't.

    You want to substantiate your claim that it's so simple to survive against competent MKs for 8 minutes without either of you or your opponent losing all stock? You have to prove it. Otherwise, you are just claiming something and using the "I'm a top player so what I say even without evidence MUST be true" logic. And I'm not buying that.

    We went over this before. Besides MK using IDC himself, no other character has an unbeatable way to run out the clock against MK. Whether you play offensive or defensive, MK's going to be approaching you most of the time anyway. It's more then likely that you attempting to camp a MK to the timer will instead result in either you punishing their approaches until they die completely OR them beating your camping. You're unlikely to drag a match out for 8 minutes unless the MK doesn't approach (something he will do with or without IDC).

    Ugh. This isn't the place for this. Forget it. I'll just keep that thread in my sig and bring it up whenever someone spews garbage about IDC.

    Their were people who came into the thread and recognized the legitimacy of my proposal. Don't act like their weren't. Pretty sure M2K was amongst those people...

    The fact is on the subject "is IDC truly broken" we will currently never agree on an answer. But on the subject "is their a non-subjective way to allow IDC while discouraging stalling with it", my proposal still stands. AGAIN, you guys never invalidated the legitimacy of my proposal in leu of a ban.

    As I said in my last post, is their a place for legitmate alternatives to the SBR default ruleset? A thread or something...

    Why is the thread closed now? Darth Waffles' thread winning post advised that we of the oppose-ban side summarize the main points of the tnread in closing. I nor anyone can't do that with it closed!

    Also, you guys never invalidated the legitimacy of my proposal! We will probably never agree on IDC's actual power in practice, but the fact is my proposal is still a legitimate alternate to banning IDC since it removes the stalling issue without subjectivity. Meaning it should be somewhere where TOs can see it (like some thread for the legitimate alternatives to the SBR ruleset). As it stands, you are leaving my thread to fall out of sight which leads to people who don't know about it banning it on stalling alone because seemingly "their is no other way".

    I'm trying to make sure I have rides to/from the airport before I buy tickets. As much as I'd hate for prices to go up and not be able to afford it, I'd be boned even harder if I buy tickets and then can't use 'em.
