I found Katherine more real, but both girls are my type so I didn't mind really. I just felt more attached to Katherine.
Okay well let me use Catherine as an example:
With terms of this photo it shows a lot about the game in just little tiny details. The artist did a great job drawing Catherine in a perfect way as to how she is portrayed in the game. She looks like a temptress and the cover is also somethng that kind of looks like you don't wanna be seen carrying around with you in public because that is what Catherine was, the girl who you don't want others to see, especially for Vincent in the game since she is the affair. Vincent being trapped in her boobs also portrays that is trapped by her and what she has caused him to do i.e. cheat on Katherine. Plus the game also showcases the classic dilemma of Lace vs. Leather (i.e. Catherine vs. Katherine) and dependent on what is your preference and it shows this by giving Catherine a lacey bra. Then there is the fact of falling sheep in the background which alludes to the fact of the nightmare realm and the invetiable thing of falling to their death or their demise plus that the other guys that are not the main characters are just faceless sheep, unlike Vincent. Plus Vincent is trapped in Catherine and "safe" compared to the other sheep that are falling because Catherine tries to "protect" Vincent from boss by giving him the outlet to get away from Katherine in order to go along with Boss's plan. Also the dilemma of which girl to choose, also saves Vincent from giving up and finding love which also makes him "safe" as long as he is with one of the girls. Then there is the place where they put the name of the game because it also somewhat looks like a censor bar over her chest which alludes that the game has a bit of a sexual connotation if it wasn't more obvious by the fact of the game, however, the cover art is so tastefully done in an artistic sense of sex and romance and deceit and death. I guess I just love analyzing art so I just fell in love with the cover art with how fantastic a job they did and this is what I feel should be in a great cover art.
Does is showcase the game?
Is it creative?
What makes this game different then others?
Could someone rhetorically analyze the game based on the artwork?
Idk just a lot of different things in order to analyze cover art, but then again I am an art enthusiast. ;P
Hope that explains everything from my PoV.
