I have 2 words for you Have Fun With gamemaker your options are going to be severely limited, things are going to seem mostly impossible the whole way but if you really want to make your own fighting game stick with it and don't give up. ;)

Are there any good Action robot fighting games out there. With customizable parts and such. Kinda random but I recently got uppsessed with fighting robots.

Hey are you going to make your own sprites? Because I'm really tired of seeing attempted ssb games using the same sprite sheets. and if you CAN do 3d even if they are super polygonical models I think that would be uber cool.
