My parents were quite secular. When I refer to the 'things to unlearn,' I refer to something that I've dubbed the 'Atmosphere of bull****.' It's a sphere you get trapped into when you're a child and dependent on your parents and older authority figures for knowledge about how the world works - however, they sadly have almost no ****ing clue what they are talking about, ever, so they're forced to grasp at straws and come up with various bull**** explanations as to why the world works the way it does.

And that bull**** gets passed on to us.

Where we continue to perpetuate and pass it down to our own children, etc.

Sounds good. I usually go to the Zero Ping monthlies which is in Ft. Lauderdale, a lot of the best players in FL live around that area. Ft. Lauderdale, Miami, and West Palm Beach brawlers.

You press:

Forward > forward to backward > backward to forward > forward to backward

in a rhythmic sequence, and you'll be dash dancing a lot like in Melee (except slightly more technical).

Nah, I'm not putting them down and I know Seibrik is good. But the skill level between USA and other countries isn't as big as people think. Look at Armada for example, and the twins from Mexico. PR also has shown to contend very well with USA at both Melee and other games, so I got nothing to worry about... To me, they're just other players. I'm one of the top players in PR too, and have loads of experience against MK with both my mains, as well as experience against Marth. And since both Seibrik and Pierce are kind enough to put videos of themselves on YouTube so I can figure out a bit about them before the tourney (such as patterns or how they punish), a little bit of research and warming up before pools will have me ready for anyone.

They're both great players, I know. Seibrik is what, the #1 PR in Florida? And Pierce is very good in both theory and practice when it comes to Marth, that much I know... But I'm not gonna put them on a pedestal and decide that they're the last people I would have wanted to fight against in the tourney at pools. Plus, since it's 3/6 that go to the next round, if they end up being too much for me, I still have a chance... But if I make it past pools, that means your friend won't make it past pools (or vice-versa), and that would suck for both of us.

O ****, my bad, lol D: It wasn't Fogo, it was Fonz, the Lucario mainer... They both start with "Fo--", so I confused them a bit. Sorry about that!

Yume must help me make Seibrik/Pierce stay in pools and get eliminated, then, cuz I am super confident in my abilities to move on, and no Marth/MK scares me at all, even if some of the Kirby boards say they're Kirby's worst MUs... And I got ZSS to back me up in case they are too nasty for my Kirby... When does Yume get to Pound4? We could friendly a couple of times with other characters or our mains, his choice. :D

Who's your friend, by the way? aextreme73, fogo, or yume? Cuz I know of the first two, and not the 3rd...

Kill Nana, run away from Popo.

You would be surprised how many characters can do that strategy effectively. For example, Lucas on Battlefield can time out Popo with a lead greater than 30-40%. I showed it to Hylian and a Lucas Main.

That honestly is one of the harder strategies for IC's to beat. By killing Nana and camping Popo with no intention of killing him (you can still try to hit him to knock him further away, but your goal is never to kill him), there is little they can do about it. Their best option IMO is to just kill themselves and get Nana back and try to kill your stock fast. Most IC players don't realize that until it is too late though, and killing themselves won't help in those situations lol.

So I've heard. It looks like he can do everything I've dreamed of doing, hah.

That being said, I've only played Brawl+ a handful of times, and I main Link in that, since he plays a lot like N64 Link.
