And yes, I'm sure because up smash only has 0.1x SDI ability. It's not really possible to SDI out of the move (only DI) tbh.

Just came by to say there are times when I regret decide to be lazy and not become an ambassator...
But meh, there are also times I am glad not to be the one that has to deal with all the salt coming from "high-level" players.

I just take snap shots and convert them to the best quality possible. Dunno why people upload so much stuff in horrible quality that it makes them unusable. Especially fan art. That is probably those most problematic one to find.

Well I'll wish the Zelda boards an early Happy Easter. That is going to be a very busy day for me.

Ah I see. I just downloaded a converter for Smash snap shots and they turn out just how this site used to render them as. I see you use the same stage I use to take snap shots. =) Lylat Cruise is my stage to take snap shots on.

Guys, when someone just starts to pop up after a dtilt, try SH forward/back air depending on how heavy they are. I don't have anyone to test it on, but it seems to set up some really strong punishes.

Yeah the timing is tricky, but on characters like Bowser and DK, they're easier to follow-up with forward air or buffered back air even without them popping up from down tilt
Ah, I actually meant fair/bair while's they're on the ground. It puts them into a bounce state where they are forced to get up and you can hit them with a charged down or up smash.

I assume you mean sourspotted. That's interesting, Fair/Bair have the properties of locking the wobble animation. It would be hard to do but Zelda could lock after shield pushing someone off a platform or footstooling them. I wonder if sour Dair locks. That could be a nice option; footstool opponent out of the air near the ground>FF sour Dair>punish forced stand up with Usmash/Dsmash/Fair/Bair.:smirk:

can you go into this in more detail? i remember doing a whole bunch of tests about this. when they're on the ground, as far I know the max frame advantage she can get is +11. Turnaround Jump Bair is 1 + 7 + 5 = 13 frames so she's out by 2. Same as Fair too =(

you should have seen the excitement on this board when we all thought she could combo a kick from a dtilt that didn't even have to trip lol. Now THAT would have been sexy!

edit: i just realised what you're talking about! i've actually noticed this! is it when you sourspot them when they're slightly above ground level and they experience a hard landing? cos then you'd be able to combo into a kick iirc. need to test it out.

When you say 'forced get up' do you mean like when Ice Climbers are trying to chain grab you, and one of their chain grab technique involves ice blocks - and causes you to slowly get up, but you get regrabbed again because there's nothing you can do in the forced get up?

I might make a short video about it. I doubt it's anywhere near guaranteed, but I reckon they'd need really good reflexes to jump out of it.

But yeah, it's just like the ICs ice block thing.

Well I hope everyone had a safe and Happy Easter! I made the most of mines. Well I got 1 hour left before I hit the airport to fly to Seattle then that 14 hour flight from Seattle to Atsugi, Japan! It's definitely going to be a new world over there.

On a side note, I forgot to mention this but I had a tourney at my campus this past Thursday. Unfortunately, I went Zelda in only one match and that wasn't even a good match to record :( But I found like a new group of smashers to chill with on weekends so hopefully I can get in more Zelda matches to show you all.
