Ocarina of Time still freaks me out as a 21 year old adult. Really, serving justice in the form of jumping on a Redead Knight in TP takes away all the scare. And it's funny. LOL

I think the first dungeon they appear in is the Arbiter's Grounds. Now that I think of it, isn't that the only dungeon with ReDeads (excluding the Great Fairy place)? Anyway, have fun, I guess.I haven't reached the Re-deads in TP yet, but revenge sounds sweet![]()
Hahaha yeah I was guilty of getting frightened by this too. When that zombie guy popped out of the closet in Majora's Mask. I'm kind of ashamed to admit it tbh but that legitimately scared me.
I honestly haven't played TP in a while, for whatever reason. I am just about to reach the Goron Mine's boss though. Really should get back into it eventually.I think the first dungeon they appear in is the Arbiter's Grounds. It can be anything, whether it's gameplay or story.Um, is the whole Jadusable story a legitimate thing to bring up? 'Cause that scared me to pieces... That is, until I found out it's fake.
"You shouldn't have done that!"I see... Well then, the whole Jadusable thing freaked me out so much. Especially the video where Link dies in a fire and the Song of Healing plays backwards, with the Happy Mask Salesman just smiling along with "Ben," and then Zora Link screaming in reverse.
Ick...

I disagree. I think the text itself was much creepier than the videos. However, I read the story first so I can't speak for the people who watched the videos first. My advice is just watch the youtube videos and ignore the mountains of text he wrote. The videos are creepier by themselves imo.
We'll just agree to disagree.I disagree. I think the text itself was much creepier than the videos. However, I read the story first so I can't speak for the people who watched the videos first.
It's just that when I watched the videos they made me laugh. A lot. It wasn't scary at all. The backwards Song of Healing was awesome, though.
>My childhood Zelda experienceThe first time I played Ocarina of Time, Stalkids were terrifying to me. I was so young and the fact that things could pop out of the ground at me I found so scary that I hopped in the river in Hyrule Field and waited until daylight to even move.
The first time a wallmaster grabbed me, in the Forest Temple, I think, I freaked out a lot...
Shadow Temple creeped me out a lot... Oya and the bottom of the well was super creepy too.
I loved that part of the game, it's so easy and tricky at the same time, because I like to go through it without the lenth of the truth even when I get to have it to get all the skulltulas in there.Oya and the bottom of the well was super creepy too.
Exactly, same experience as me.Moment that scared the crap outa me?
Ocarina of Time, first time i walked into Gohma's room (in the Great Deku Tree), looked up and saw the eye, then the spider dropped on teh ground (acute Arachnophobia anybody?)
I second this. But The Wind Waker Redeads take the cake as the scariest. The first time I heard the Re-dead scream in both Ocarina of Time and The Windwaker made me jump out of my chair.
Just seen your avatar. guy Cecil from Tales of the Abyss. I approve of you just because you know of the game (or anime)The first time I played Ocarina of Time, Stalkids were terrifying to me. I was so young and the fact that things could pop out of the ground at me I found so scary that I hopped in the river in Hyrule Field and waited until daylight to even move.

To preface this last one, when I get a new game, I ALWAYS watch the intro movie before playing. So I get Majora's Mask for Christmas and I (obviously) go straight down to my room to play it. Turn on the game, start watching the opening movie, and the mask is slowly coming towards the screen. I can't hear anything so I turn up the volume and it makes that giant WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOSH! sound when it passes through the screen. I turned off the game for a minute 'cause I was so scared.
Also, in Majora's Mask when you get the Song of Storms from Sharp, and he starts hurting you until you pull out your Ocarina and the music that gets played in the background is ABSOLUTELY TERRIFYING. I didn't know what to do and had a nervous breakdown, scared the living **** out of me...
That's all I can think of off the top of my head, but I'm sure I was scared elsewhere, given I'm a huge wimp..
What's funny, when I got to that part as a kid, I opened the closet and he suddenly jumped out, causing me to nearly crap my pants. I ran like crazy away from it, and it followed me, freaking me out even more. But, at a certain point (I don't remember where), he hits an invisible wall, and stops moving towards you. He still goes through the walking animation, but he doesn't go anywhere. So basically you could stand right in front of it without him attacking you. That always amused me.For me, I'm definitely seconding the basement closet in Majora's Mask.
