Ocarina of Time still freaks me out as a 21 year old adult. Really, serving justice in the form of jumping on a Redead Knight in TP takes away all the scare. And it's funny. LOL

I haven't reached the Re-deads in TP yet, but revenge sounds sweet :)

I think the first dungeon they appear in is the Arbiter's Grounds. Now that I think of it, isn't that the only dungeon with ReDeads (excluding the Great Fairy place)? Anyway, have fun, I guess.

I honestly haven't played TP in a while, for whatever reason. I am just about to reach the Goron Mine's boss though. Really should get back into it eventually.

^^ I haven't played TP at all...
Should I buy the console just to play that game? Is it that worthy?

I think it is. Certainly a more darker, serious Zelda game in art style and storyline. Though one could argue that all of them have a dark tone what with Ganondorf's evil influence and whatnot. But yeah,

It's one of my favorite Zelda games in the series.

well, TP it's a really good game, I love Hyrule in this game, it's really big and detailed, the game is long enough to enjoy it without getting bored, the only thing I don't like about its how easy it is, I mean, ok it's for casual people and kids, but it had to be that easy? even with 3 hearts challenge it's easy as hell, oh well, it's not like I was expecting Zelda II difficulty but at least Ocarina like or Majoras... but that aside its really worth playing....

and well, you can buy a Wii to play Brawl's mods too, just saying :V

About Hyrule field in TP, i also like the fact than that is the biggest field in a Zelda game, but, for what??

is just a waste of space in the disk, i mean, there are nothing, only few pices of hearts anf secrets gottos

back to the topic...

TP dont have anything than scare me, but. the little spiders than Armorgohma throw in the fight are so disgusting,

The windmill guy scares me in OoT. The one where you have to play the song along with him and he starts to play like rambunctiously fast. He was just a creepy dude all together

Um, is the whole Jadusable story a legitimate thing to bring up? 'Cause that scared me to pieces... That is, until I found out it's fake.

I wouldn't touch MM till that realization.

I see... Well then, the whole Jadusable thing freaked me out so much. Especially the video where Link dies in a fire and the Song of Healing plays backwards, with the Happy Mask Salesman just smiling along with "Ben," and then Zora Link screaming in reverse.

Ick...

I would give you the link to the whole thing, but right now Imma just say "google 'Jadusable.'"

Basically, it's a big blog coming from someone who supposedly played a haunted Majora's Mask cartridge, haunted by some kid named "Ben" who was drowned, and he had nightmares, visions, etc. about it all. He also posted videos of his experiences playing the haunted cart.

This same guy, I'm pretty sure, admitted it was all fake.

Ah, lol. A creepy-pasta.
I think I've read some of that before though because it does sound familiar. I should try finishing it.

My advice is just watch the youtube videos and ignore the mountains of text he wrote. The videos are creepier by themselves imo.
I disagree. I think the text itself was much creepier than the videos. However, I read the story first so I can't speak for the people who watched the videos first.

It's just that when I watched the videos they made me laugh. A lot. It wasn't scary at all. The backwards Song of Healing was awesome, though.

We'll just agree to disagree.

I thought the story went way overboard and became unbelievable very quick. Ghost stories don't scare me. What creeps me out is the mystery. Imagine if he played it up much more realistically, in a "I bought this used cartridge and all this weird glitch crap is happening but it seems to be leading me to something", I think that is plenty engaging by itself. When it becomes literally about a ghost haunting a game cartridge, I tuned out because that is just stupid.

Also, the guy isn't that great of a writer.

The first time I played Ocarina of Time, Stalkids were terrifying to me. I was so young and the fact that things could pop out of the ground at me I found so scary that I hopped in the river in Hyrule Field and waited until daylight to even move.

The first time a wallmaster grabbed me, in the Forest Temple, I think, I freaked out a lot...

Shadow Temple creeped me out a lot... Oya and the bottom of the well was super creepy too.

To preface this last one, when I get a new game, I ALWAYS watch the intro movie before playing. So I get Majora's Mask for Christmas and I (obviously) go straight down to my room to play it. Turn on the game, start watching the opening movie, and the mask is slowly coming towards the screen. I can't hear anything so I turn up the volume and it makes that giant WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOSH! sound when it passes through the screen. I turned off the game for a minute 'cause I was so scared.

Also, in Majora's Mask when you get the Song of Storms from Sharp, and he starts hurting you until you pull out your Ocarina and the music that gets played in the background is ABSOLUTELY TERRIFYING. I didn't know what to do and had a nervous breakdown, scared the living **** out of me...

That's all I can think of off the top of my head, but I'm sure I was scared elsewhere, given I'm a huge wimp..

I loved that part of the game, it's so easy and tricky at the same time, because I like to go through it without the lenth of the truth even when I get to have it to get all the skulltulas in there.

The stupid green Bubble in under the Well. Always caught me by surprise. And Redeads.

EDIT: And those Moblins in the sacred grove! I would always shout when I saw one.

A moment that has been burned into my memory is the failed attempt at trying to complete theDeku Tree Dungeon.

My neighbor and I were playing Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time and about to climb one of the many vines when one of the many giant spiders dropped down and hit Link. I screamed like a little girl and ran out of the room. The worst part about it, my neighbor was a girl and she didn't scream.

For me, I'm definitely seconding the basement closet in Majora's Mask.
What's funny, when I got to that part as a kid, I opened the closet and he suddenly jumped out, causing me to nearly crap my pants. I ran like crazy away from it, and it followed me, freaking me out even more. But, at a certain point (I don't remember where), he hits an invisible wall, and stops moving towards you. He still goes through the walking animation, but he doesn't go anywhere. So basically you could stand right in front of it without him attacking you. That always amused me.

Just a side note, it took me forever to figure out I had to play Song of Healing... -.-
