Possible reasons of why Peach runs faster than Zelda:
1. Because she is used to run from danger at high speeds.
2. Because she shops so much.
3. Because there is a 2 x 1 offer at Channel.
4. Because her heels have something that makes her run faster.
5. Because she is a bitc...
6. Because she suck at Tennis, Baseball, Golf, Football and in battle.
7. None of the above. :D

Zelda's castle is huge. I'd imagine it'd be a major work out for her to move from the throne room to the entrance. In TP the Throne room is miles away from the Entrance xD

Either that or Peach has tiny jet packs on her heels.

Also you have to take into consideration that Zelda's castle had no stairs on the main floor. So she probably had to climb or something to get to the second floor (unless she had a hookshot). There is no way you could not exercise in her castle. Ok that was random.

Anyway, nice video Iris haven't seen it before. That Dair was simply awesome she stomped that Jiggles down. I want to see more Dair kills. On a side note the announcer says Jigglypuffs name funny lol.

It does send people flying upwards weakly, but against grounded target it will never produce a lightning sweetspot, which is highly unfortunate.

Sweetspotting the Dair against aerial targets seems to based on timing rather than positioning like many moves in this game. From my experience the first hit frame produces the sweetspot, regardless of positioning. This is in contrast to fair/bair, which require heavy positioning to sweetspot in addition to the sweetspot only being viable for one frame.

Since it's kind of hard to see Zelda's feet while kicking in Brawl, mind the position of the sparkle. Hit them with the center of it.

I'm okay with it being unusable on grounded enemies when it can KO characters at a negligible % while at ground level in the air. Jiggly was fairly high up (above the first platform) and it launched her to a point where most third jumps can't even fathom to recover. It seems like Zelda's other aerials are going to be more reliable than those lightning kicks.

Wow, nice light arrow usage at the end. I mean, that's almost anime-like. Not shooting the Light Arrow into the opponents, not just ricocheting a soccer ball into them by shooting it with a Light Arrow, but ricocheting two soccer balls into two separate opponents and killing them at the same time. Do you think that was planned?

Of course, then she lost. ;_;

OHH that's what that was. I almost pissed my pants when I saw the MOST DISJOINTED HITBOX EVAR! Anyhow, that's still sweet. It had to have been planned, they were like 50 feet above her. Maybe Soccer Balls home in? I dunno.

Anyway question time: Why does Marth's FS get all the credit for being amazing and crap like that when Zelda has the same thing without the chance of dying?

Zelda's light arrow is a bit more survivable. Sheik's is even less survivable, but Marth's is pretty guaranteed with perhaps a larger hitbox and quicker execution. I'd say they're both pretty dependable final smashes.

Zelda's and Sheik's Final Smashes lose power as they hit successive targets, even non-player ones. In a FFA it's not really going to amount to 3 insta KOs unless the other targets have high enough damage to start.

I dunno, in the video you showed the first Light Arrow showed that it had a pretty good vertical range for just being a straight line. Marth's FS hits at a more upwards angle correct? And off the top KO's are easier correct? If so then that makes more sense.

Whatever, Marth's isn't fun to watch at all.

Ahh thanks. That sorta sucks a bit.

Whatever, Marth's is still uninspired and boring >.<

I just re-read a few of the earlier posts and I have to say we were pretty accurate in deciphering that terrible video. I totally called Dair having magical properties. Somehow.

I'm just kinda amused that araknaphobic got owned so hard
(if you read this fabian, LOL suck)

I'm glad i switched my icon back, this way i don't feel associated with brawl noobs :p

edit:
LOL ryoko i thought your statement about your icon said :"Uses zelda's ****", as a continuation of that joke that guy made about how zelda's **** [tilts] are a substitute for her smashes.

Oh why thank you my dear!
It is a pleasure to be back and discussing (MY)Zelda with my fellow tootsie pops!

I haven't really been into very many Zelda videos though. After a while, it just gets kinda sad to see Zelda played by other people, when you want to get your hands on her SOOOOOO BAD. And by that...I mean video game wise.

My sentiments exactly. It's even more painful to watch a vid if the player does something differently than you would have, and it turns out badly for them :p

Oh my gosh, that's exactly what I think when I watch videos!
I'm always thinking things like "too much kick spamming", "shouldn't have used Din's Fire there", and "that would have been the perfect time to use Up Air".

Well...now that the game is out, I'm loving Zelda. I played her in melee and she got buffs. I spammed dair like crazy in melee so now I'm being rewarded. And of course, the Din's Fire is amazing. However, I truly feel Nayru's Love got the shaft. With the "slow-mo on multi-hit" engine I thought Nayru would be pretty awesome to watch diamond shards ripping through people, but no go. It does pitiful damage and doesn't even stun half the time. It has a switch-direction effect I don't quite understand, but that's all. Any discoveries on this?

Well, there was some invincibility attached to Naryu's Lurve. We've seen a Zelda player make a Marth whiff a forward smash with it and hit him with the diamond shards, as stated in the first post. Beyond that, I haven't heard too much about this move. It's all about the Din currently.
