Your personality versus your Smashboards persona

Simple idea, do the two match or are they polar opposites?

I think my Smashboards persona is similar to my personality. I don't really say much at first but once you get to know me, I'm open to sincere detailed debates about anything really. I'm not one to go charging into social situations and I think the same applies here, I don't just go running through threads casually.

I also think I conduct myself according to the same values both here and real life.

you pretty much just described my personality : ). i'm less of a smart *** on here. usually, when people say some dumb ****, i'm quick to label it as so. on here, i just don't respond, or use too many smiley faces and people don't take me seriously. i'm not mean or anything. just very straight forward. to me, most of the threads on here are pretty dumb so i don't post in a lot of threads.

Yeah Id say I come across pretty much the same.

I can't always communicate what I mean very well sometimes.I'm pretty chilled out nearly all the time,except when people say really stupid stuff,when I'm dying/failing in games and just when talking about the stupid people/things in life.

It's weird though,Even though I love this place and imagine I would get along/like a lot of posters here. I've never met anyone on Smashboards except for the Irish players.......and there are only 5 of them on here.

I'm a lot more passive in real life than I am on the boards. If something bothers me, I'm more likely to make a post ranting about it than I am to bring it up in person. I'm introverted around unfamiliar groups both online and offline, but I become more outgoing when I'm comfortable with the people around me.

It depends on the people I'm around...I think over the years my online and offline personalities have become more alike, I used to be far more outgoing online and very shy offline.

But this has fortunately changed a fair bit. :]

And I'm generally a pretty friendly, cheery person offline and online (or so I like to think).

Although I have been known to intimidate people in person, although somewhat unknowingly...Cao just brings the loudmouth out of me. <3

I guess I'm far more civil irl though, and someone who'd only talked to me online then met me irl said I'm basically the same guy but a lot more charming in person.

I'm nicer and I laugh more. Also if I snap at someone, which is rare because you have to break something of mine or steal from me, I'll most likely end up apologizing later.

There's no dramatic difference basically.

I am a bit more soft spoken, but I still don't give a ****. I don't rap too much in real life, but at church camp in the summer I'm a legend. I beat this odd kid named Woodsy in a rap battle. At first they called me bunny, but I made a smart remark about his girlfriend named Spam(This was in 4rth grade lol, even then a girl named Spam was an easy target.) during our last rap battle, and he flipped. I didn't fight back when he punched me, I'm against fighting over small disputes. I put him in a headlock and carried him to the office, he was then brought home. Then when I got back to the cabin, some kid shouted "WAY TO GO COLONEL CUDDLES, YEAH!!), then the whole camp stopped calling me Bunny, and Colonel Cuddles now ended Woodsy's evil rule. Now, as far as camp goes, I'm a legend. I was also fat, still am, but most people don't make fun of me, most insults are at school. That's how I got named Colonel Cuddles. Just this year the name started to pick up at school. My girlfriend gave me a weird look when someone called me Colonel Cuddles. Lol'd so hard.

I know IRL I have a much better temperament than I show online, I'm still a smart-alek like I am online, but I'm a bit more aware and sensitive to others feelings. I guess to make it short, I'm definitely much more personable in real life than I am online.

Hmmm, I was thinking that it might be easier to be objective online, then in personal. Because you can cast posts and such as just shadowbeings, or hollows, or nobodies, seriously. So its easy to troll people online, but you wouldn't really do it personally, because people would know how you look and stuff. And you can feel feelings and tones from peoples faces to their body language.

I take longer to compose my thoughts and posts on the internet than I do in real life. It's probably because I know that people I don't know are going to read the stuff I post (if that makes any sense) and because I have a tendency to make assumptions about people depending on how they post so I assume others do the same.

I'm totally anti-social offline aside from a pair of guys that I've known for a long time. After I went from public to homeschooling, I lost allll my people skills. Not like I need them, people aren't worth it.

I'm also a bit less... angry in real life. I'm very good at biting my tongue. No one here really knows how I differ from that on the 'net... Luckly. :<

Other than that, not a lot of difference.

If you talked to me in person, and then checked my Smashboard posts, you'd pretty much realize that talking to me over SWF and talking to me in real life is basically the same thing.

Except I don't say the same word at the end of all my sentences.
