i understand the point of this thread and yoshis is a bomb *** falcon map but

Battlefield is definitely the most balanced stage in the game. its the only neutral that doesnt strongly favor 1-2 of the top tiers. its the only stage where the stage itself doesnt swing any particular matchup.

i use it as my counterpick in most matchups even if its not favorable. i just am very comfortable on the stage. i counterpick marths to ys with fox and ****. wierd stuff.

& a map of the world and a map in a video game are two completely different things.

note that characters =/= matchups.

link and samus dont lose to any character they would otherwise have a chance to beat just because its harder to hookshot/grapple.
nor does it make any character beat them easier

Yeah, unfortunately, it also gets the most johns of any neutral stage.
