So even though I'm not considered Louisiana, I've been going to their tournaments while I'm waiting to move to CA. They put me as a honorable mention on their PR as a nice little shoutout. So Bowser is on a PR, yay!

It was my birthday recently. I only just noticed today, lol.
And Flayl, if it's ANY consolation, I'm enjoying the book more and more as I read it. Can't say I was prepared for the shadow creature birthing though. o_o Also, my biggest complaint now (don't worry, it's a small one) is that the book just feels like it's stalling until Dany someday makes some progress with that whole reclaiming-my-family's-kingdom thing. I'm really enjoying it now though, don't get me wrong.
Still think the whole story should have started with, say, Robert's death or just before it since that's when everything started going to ****. Or at least condensed everything leading up to it. That's just me though.

I just finished reading Ubik, and it made me think of this guy:

Of all the things to be philosophical about, he chose a fighting party fan service game. Fun times.
I just played Bowser a bit in Melee and I just noticed Sakurai actually nerfed Bowser's dash attack. He gets a bigger movement boost in Melee compared to Brawl. He can do Final Destination in 4 and a half dash attacks, in Brawl he needs 5 (also the models in Brawl are bigger than in Melee, dunno if FD was scaled to size).
This might mean we missed out on having a good boost grab and boost USmash

Who said anything about leaving it out? And Dany isn't just a princess. She's a princess that has a goal in mind and she isn't going to let a little thing like distance, her kingdom being in the middle of a civil war, and her lack of followers stop her.
I just really wish they'd get on with it because even though she's dead set on getting lots of boats and lots of dudes with pointy objects, she never seems any closer to achieving that. She travels across the desert and finds... a dead city. It has food, but that's it. She heads to Quarth, makes people pay tuition to see the dragons so SHE can pay tuition to get the head honchos to do something... they do nothing. She sees the evil dead people... they try to eat her. I'm getting a little tired of all the red herrings, lol.

Random question has anyone given their Bowser texture hacks? I've got textures for all six slots.
Original- Old school Bowser (orange with green cufflinks).
Red- Striker Bowser.
Blue- Dark Bowser from Bowser's Inside Story.
Black- N64 Bowser.
White- Dry Bowser.
Brown- Bowser with the general colouration he has in non-Smash games.
I got them all from Brawl vault, but if anyone knows where I can get other ones let me know.

just ctrl + f "PART II: TEXTURES" and read on from there. All of my Bowser textures got a standout because I main Bowser (obviously), so just click the name and download.
There is also a recently created (for me) Bowser recolor that makes him look like Swampert. I forgot where I put the link to that though.

I played as Bowser on Jelly's Wii at a tournament and he had the Blastoise texture for Bowser so I kept using that.

BTW. I took the Louis texture off of my Wii. Felt really weird using him.
I used to have the Blastoise and Nido textures. They don't desynch on wifi which is cool.
I got rid of them though because I like Bowser too much to replace him.

If you want to be classy you can get the one from Brawl Vault where he wears a black tuxedo.

An Aib doubles tier list done in 2010 had Bowser as the worst doubles char in the game.
That's understandable seeing as klaw and grab releases can be interrupted, and he's the biggest target in the game.
I wonder if firebreath can set anything up for a teammate apart from
healing the mother boys.

I'd say the reason why they put Bowser last is because being a big hurtbox is worse in doubles than in singles because there's three players that can hit you now.
Klaw and grab releases, which are basically two thirds of his metagame, are nerfed due to being able to be interrupted.
Even fortress oos, the final third of his metagame may be hindered in a way I'm not aware of.

60% of the time when Im playing doubles, im just standing still behind the fight, and jumping in to assist my teammate when need be, im not the main damage racker, im the Tank/Assist/Clean Up/Revenge Killer. I just live, get the opponent off my teammate, and punish when they get too ballsy.
Now, Im not saying Bowser is good in doubles, he's still pretty bad, but I dont think he's any worse there than he is in singles, and 2010 WAS 2 years ago so the Meta has changed. Im not so much saying they were wrong, more saying it's not the same nowadays.

Maybe I'm really misinformed, but I don't really see how Bowser's meta has changed much. His meta has always been klaw, upb oos and grab releases. Really the only thing that would significantly change his meta is if someone mastered pivot regrabs out of grab releases. It's not like there are Bowsers with Reflex-like tourney placings anyway.
And from what I understand, the doubles meta doesn't change much because it doesn't get as much attention as singles.
I think people overuse the 'the meta has changed' card.

I prefer to use Jiggs in dubs than Yoshi or Ganon.
I'd rather be more precise, run in there, over my teammate, and kick the enemy, as opposed to kicking my team mate. I suck at the game so I usually try and let them live as long as possible.
