turfin is a style of dance, which jerking owes a lot to.

turfing is much more complicated and intricate tho, and you can do much more with turfing

heres a video of turfing vs jerking lol, it has that song i linked earlier

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zqK8ZPdRmGY

pretty good vid at showcasing both styles
whoa. turfing looks hella cool.

lol i don't hate anyone. i don't like it and i don't like the name. name just added onto it. i mean, i got friends that wear them. i always have to ask "dude, why the frrruck do you wear those?". i'll just think it's stupid in the comfort of my own mind...much like how people may think my baggy jeans are stupid :).
WORD.
you get respect.

well.....you should still have it on your ipod, even if you detest it.....so when you have a girl in the car....you have something to play....unfortunately, chicks ain't bumpin nas and joe budden like that so i keep some mainstream music in my playlist. barely gets any solo spins tho.
If a girl gets in my car, she's gonna hear some california love, other 2Pac, biggie, naughty by nature, talib kweli, mos def, jean grae, wu tang.

A lot of love songs though (OF COURSE).

What are the best back in the day tracks I should get for the Ipod? Say anything from what was on the radio at the time to underground ****. I want to go down memory lane..
Get illmatic, enter the 36 chambers, ready to die, me against the world, mecca and the soul brother,

ll cool j
krs-one
rakim
the roots
mos def
talib kweli
jean grae
naughty by nature
2Pac
biggie
nas
snoop doggy dogg (old stuff)
ice cube
NWA
de la soul
queen latifah (HER SECOND RAP ALBUM IS DOPE I RECOMMEND IT)

thats all i can think offf... not all of them are old but they have that sound

She's listening to Joe whether she likes it or not.

Cheah!

Has anyone here heard of Benifit? he's possibly the best rapper in existance. I dont have links but his best can be found on youtube. as a rapper myself i know talent

So Sick:Amazing song with one of the best flows in the world, he just goes at it for 3 minutes straight, even the Hook is sick

Warp to World 6-9(the mario rap:His only nerdcore hip hop song, he basically raps about...Mario. Its good, trust me.

If you want Nerdcore then MC Chris is who you should Check out, especially MC Chris Pwnz

Im REALLY white so sorry if i sounded wierd

Benefit is really cool, but MC Chris sucks.

I can't believe I'm actually arguing over nerd rap but The Adventures of Duane n Brando are the only group I can stand on that front.

Benefit is really boring. I liked So Sick but it kinda has no replay value. He has some funny songs but i'm never in the mood to listen to them.

nerdcore is meh. mc chris is aight but i only like one song by him. plus his voice can easily turn people off from him.

i'm really trying to not download big boi's album. general patton is crack :)

this track is weird but i love it. he;s rapping over a techno beat lol.

I used to bump that purple haze back in high school. He is pretty funny sometimes. I can't take him seriously tho when he is talking about moving weight and killing people. His voice was made for like exclusively silly ****

mase, where you at?

dmx voice is epic, anyway. i would listen to him read the bible hahaha.

i like the original better though, even with all that diddy singing lol.

those young money-like punchlines were corny. wish people would stop doing them so much.

Just listened to Big Boi's album while I was working out and shopping at the mall... It's straight FIRE!!! I wish he got Mainstream recognition like Drake, Wayne, Etc.

Back up Plan and you ain't no Dj...has to be my 2 favorite songs on his album... Although I can honestly say...that there are not any wack songs on his CD... I give it a 9/10

anybody remember jin?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PTWlFQbaalQ&playnext_from=TL&videos=Xvc3XY8Dmeg&feature=recentlik

not crazy bout the religous slant. i feel like him going religious was kind of a cop out, like he could'nt handle the pressure of the game and he turned to religion.

nothing against religion. I actually don't even mind so much when DMX starts quoting verses, and praying mid-song, but thats cuz he makes it so epic

2 early to judge, just thought i'd share
i fux wit dem *******

lol but I <3 DMX's prayers. like real talk. He talks some deep stuff. one good mainstream rapper. like Nas.

Was that the original Angels? Lupe Fiasco had a remix on it (?) on his mixtape, which was pretty good. I like Lupe's shots at basically everyone in his songs, even if you can't tell.

edit: oh, diddy's song.

http://www.kanyeuniversecity.com/blog/2010/07/kid-cudi-erase-me/

****, I'm really feelin it. Mostly on Cudi's part but Kanye's verse delivers.

anyone here listen to the sound providers? I stumbled across them recently and i really like them. Also does anyone have any good suggestions for laid back jazz rap, similar to the sound providers?

Jeru The Damaja - Da *****ez

Most jazzy hip-hop song for sure...

Also look up Reflection Eternal's first album. Guru has a lot of jazzy beats. And also Common has some jazz in his beats.
