It looks like it has everything that's always been in WoW special editions.

I kinda want it just because my old Northrend mouse pad has seen better days.

Why haven't I posted in this thread before?
I was looking at the digital deluxe edition...

I forgot they have more editions for games now than just collectors and normal

Yeah the digital deluxe edition is a waste of money. I don't know how much the Collector's Edition is (I'm going to assume around $80) but you get everything from the digital deluxe plus other physical goodies.

And honestly the portraits and banner design is pretty useless if you don't play Starcraft II and Diablo III.

The digital is really just for the pet/mount collectors.

Sometimes I wish I could play wow again and have as much fun as I did when I first started.

MoP looks fun but I know I won't be able to fully get into it :(

I'll at least play through the new areas and get to 90.

After that...I dunno.

Wyrmrest Accord here (RP-PvE server).

Main a Frost DK and a BM Hunter at the moment; I'll be putting in a helluva lot more work into my Hunter when the xpac rolls around. Can't be bothered to aggressively gear my undergeared Hunter before then. xD

Frost Death Knights are so good. I'm on Deathwing, if anyone cares to know. It's a PvP server.

Oh I know. Frost DKs hit like a truck, and they put on pressure for days. They're the definitive anti-caster melee class/spec this season. Between Necrotic Strike, Mind Freeze, Deathgrip, Lichborne, Chains of Ice, Anti-Magic Shell, and Strangulate...yeaaaah. Gimme some sweet gear to go with all of that, and I'll be your worst nightmare. Lol.

Some healing classes can lame me out, though. Disc. priests give me a lot of trouble, followed by mother****ing Holy pallies. The problems I face against the former is by virtue of their spec's passives (have fun bursting down a Disc. priest stacked to the ceiling with Mastery), and the latter is more in line with just the class itself (I.e. if you're not on point in pressuring and controlling the pally, he'll outlast you in a 2v2 or higher). Resto shammies are tricky, too. Dat Deep Healing Mastery.

Other classes/specs? It's a case-by-case basis. I only really worry whenever there's a Feral drood or a Sub rogue around. Cross your fingers, survive the initial burst, and disrupt their stuns; that's all you can hope to do. It's worse with rogues because they can easily reset the match; however, droods can survive thanks to Bear form, and that's almost as bad.

Balance/Resto Druid and Prot Paladin on Nazjatar, Horde.

What factions are you guys? Could always do some bg's/raids with real id

Yep. They hurt DPS spellcasters, but I heard some DPS oriented characters like Rogues and Hunters can slow down your barrage? Definitely the best class besides Holy Paladins though, haha.

I'll be gay if you're playing a Death Knight. I heal, so Grounding Totem > Ghost Wolf > Spiritwalker's Grace > Greater Healing Surge. Unless I get ganked, you're not taking me down. Rogues suck though, especially when they have a Priest dispelling everything I can throw out.

Yep. Druids are tanks, and anyone who says they are a crappy Resto spec are clearly mistaken. I want to create a Druid alt in MoP purely for the Restoration tree form.

Eww, Horde. I play only Alliance.

BM/MM Hunter (The BM is because I like monster collecting and like collecting rare monsters) on Alliance

Elemental/ Restoration Shaman on Horde

Unholy/ Frost Death Knight on Horde

All on the server Hydraxis. It's kind of a sucky server

I like when people discuss how they never heard of Warcraft III, they thought there was only 1 Warcraft and about how it sucks. But they love LoL...(based on DoTA, a WCIII custom map)

Was Blizzard really that obscure in the past or something?

Na. PC gaming just wasn't that widespread in their pre-WoW years.

Blizzard's always been big, as far back as Diablo 1 and Warcraft 2 (since I'd wager WC1 is what helped get them big to start.)

So, I guess to spur discussion...

1. PvE? PvP? Both?
2. Favourite Battleground? Mine would have to be Arathi Basin. Second comes Alterac Valley if it's not a zergfest, but I quite like Battle for Gilneas too. Excellently designed map.

My reply, with all due candor and brevity:

1. PvP, hands-down. High-end raiding in PvE has some fun mechanics to it, but I feel like it's a chore otherwise, scripted and onerous. PvP, to me, is a little more spontaneous. I like the jankiness and potential randomness inherent in facing another human being. You can predict, but you can never fully anticipate what someone else is going to do.

I'll get into fave BGs and stuff later, but I will say that I hold all of the Vanilla ones (except for AV) in high regard.

1. Both, but I prefer PVE
2. Twin Peaks followed closely by Arathi Basin

LOL, I really liked it.

I liked when the human handed the orc his spear, both with dumb looks on their face as they were getting their ***** handed to them

Mounts/titles/achievements are now available for all of your toons. I'm so pumped for this.

I made my second toon- a Druid, a few days ago. Want to grind dungeons/bg's until she's 85, hopefully before MoP launches.

Cinematic opening was amazing. Garrosh is a ***** for destroying Theramore.

I have no other choice but to re-learn my Shaman and Druid toons. I have mixed feelings about this.

That is all. Downloaded patch, just waiting for servers to finish maintenance updates.

Hope everyone snagged a scarlet crusade tabard.
From Scarlet Monastery? Which used to be a mid 30s-lower 40s instance when I was playing? What's happening :O?

Is there a new cinematic besides the one where they crash on the Panda island place?

How do you think Guild Wars 2 will affect WoW?

GW2 will crash and burn like every other competitor that challenges Blizzard. A few people I know who have tried GW2 says the engine feels clunky, and the Quests are absurdly grindy. <But there is no subscription- and it does have moderate hype, how long that lasts though is subjective..>

And also, what about the tabard? Why would we need to gain reputation with the Scarlet Monastery?

*shrugs.*

GW2'll fare well enough, I think. As long as Arena Net stays humble about the game (ala Funcom and its MMO, The Secret World), it shouldn't crash and burn.

I'm very excited about the patch/xpac, though. Can't wait to play my Hunter later.

I loved Scholomance. I remember tanking it on my Paladin in Vanilla, long before Paladins were acceptable "tanks" and I was looking for the horrible "tank gear" that dropped there, barely found any of it iirc

Will be running both dungeons tonight...
Overall, most classes seem to be hitting much harder...
A guildie was doing 32k while tanking a dungeon
I've seen an increase in dps on my rogue by about 12k..... but doing no damage in pvp :(
Will be running DS tonight to see how much I do with raid buffs
