Panda Time is pretty cool. Aside from the bull**** that usually plagues betas, of course, what with disconnects and crashes and people jockeying for quest loot. If the Panda starting zone is any indicator of how gorgeous Pandaria proper is then I am freaking stoked. Can't wait to head out there.
Also, shout outs to Blizzard for putting in a reference to Ranma 1/2. xD

Finally got around to playing the beta.
I dont think i'm going to make a pandaren or a monk when MOP comes out.
Also the annual pass offer ends 4/30/12 so nows the time to get it if you've been thinking about it

I just spend around 20 minutes spamming trade chat with
"LFM Hogger mount run ilvl397 + plz know fights"
and i actually got 2 people to believe that Hogger drops a mount...
they were furious when i summoned them inside the stockades

Well, an IRL friend of mine and I just spent two nights ****ing around with LFR and deliberately wiping raids for fun.
Honestly, LFD was bad enough, but LFR is just a conglomerate of ******* that are so easily wipeable.
Wiping them on Spine of Deathwing was the easiest and the most fun. Just simply kill all of the Tentacles and then the tanks won't be able to handle all of the Amalgamations, then it's a wipe from there.
Not to mention the tentacles only have 1 million health, so they're easy to kill if you're well geared.
We've caused so many tears to be spilt and so much rage to be unleashed--it's absolutely hilarious.
Also, people have tried to kick us, but because people in LFR are so ********, the people who try to kick us get kicked instead.
It's pretty much after 4 or so deliberate wipes that people finally realise that it's my friend and I, then we get kicked. Sometimes, we manage to start the fight and **** it up once more because we can't be kicked during an encounter.
Oh God, and don't even get me started on how you can roll on items you already have in order to blackmail other players in the raid.

yeah man that is ****ed up.
i really hate lfr in general. its the only hope for casuals to get geared up and then *******s show up to it who start demanding that they kick anyone below 15k dps... yeah in a normal or heroic raid 15k is unacceptable, but lfr is a joke so i dont understand why everyone has to be so worried about dps

Maybe it's just the guilds I've been in, but raids for me have been I'm just there. The only people that get the items are the top members.
They don't have rolls or anything. ALL items just go into their inventory.
I guess I get gold from that, but there isn't much in ways I can improve the items I'm carrying.
Because of that I don't even raid anymore. Just PVP. At least I can improve my PVP gear that way

Sounds like you need to find a new guild.
Even the pugs ive been in let anyone roll for items as long as it was for their spec

Back in Vanilla, they'd mostly be like "hey guys, how do i do this?", then the ones who knew would answer appropriately.

It's not though. I'm stuck on a low pop realm (And before someone says 'hay transfer' I've got 4 characters there that I don't want to leave, as well as RL friends who play occasionally.) And with aussie timezones LFR is really the only change I get to raid without having to wake up at 8am on weekends. It's quite fun. The only issues with it are loot drama (which they've got a fix for in MoP) and the people who don't have anything better to do than be ****s. Aka, you. They're hopefully working on a better kick method.

Looted a green drop today in the barrens, and for a second while looting I thought the stats seemed odd. Checked it in my bag, it was just a random green with no 'of the___' with no bonus stats. Next green drop I don't immediately loot. Wow.
When it appeared in my bag though it lost the 'of the' prefix and both shows and gives no stats. Heh, shame.
