So I just got second at a ~30 person tourney! Made it to GF after taking out SneakyTako (D3/rob) with Jigglypuff and Wario. XD Then he ran it back after winning losers haha. Just means I gotta work on my secondaries more now. In GFs I ended up using Falco too and took a game as well.

Thanks! :D It could've been 84, but the entry fee was $5 haha. I played really well yesterday. In WF Sneaky beat me game one D3/Wolf, but it was a good game. It was like 7 mins long because I camped the **** out of the platform on SV rofl. But G2 is really what gave me the set. I CP'd Frigate and he stayed. So I went Jigglypuff and won. After that I just had really good momentum and won G3/4 against his D3 with Wario on Halberd and YI. Our GFs sets didn't go as well. XD He beat me 3-1 both times, with me taking 1 game with Wofl and one with Falco. I gotta work on my Falco more though. He's the one providing the light to the end of the D3 tunnel haha.

And thanks everyone else! Went all Wolf except for WFs and GFs too!

It did. XD She's legitimately my second best character and she does better against the penguin than Wario and Wolf, so I was like, '**** it, I'll try it.'

I do play too many characters, but that's how I enjoy the game. It just wouldn't be as fun haha. Although if MK was legal, I wouldn't need anyone else as a secondary. I'd just use them here and there anyway lol.

So where did I say I'd unban him again? Because iirc, my latest words to him in a private facebook message were "If I don't catch you using an alt again or whatnot I'll consider reversing the first infraction over the weekend". If you haven't noticed, I do my best to avoid using definites, it's not without reason.

Anyways, I consulted my fellow moderators about how to handle the situation, and it was suggested that I don't unban him early since he messed up by breaking the rules further (blatant alt usage). If punishments aren't adhered to, people are less likely to understand that their behavior was wrong, and all that. It's not a matter of how many people would like him back, it's a matter of rules.

That being said, I think it's unfortunate that the infractions have him banned for this long since I'd have rather issued a week-long temp-ban (which isn't in my power since I'm not a SMod), but giving in to unbanning requests is not going to happen. I was not provided with a reason for his actions, just a "sorry" and some words in hopes of gaining back what was lost. That's nowhere near enough to justify my interfering with the infraction system. He deserved the infractions he got, and as far as I'm concerned that's where the story ends. How long their consequences last is not for any of us to decide.

This topic is not meant for public discussion, and I would appreciate it if people don't bring it up on the boards. If you have a serious concern with the decision (or any potential future moderation-related decisions I make), feel free to PM me, or use Forum Support if you find I'm being particularly unreasonable.
