I also haven't seen Xyro spiking a ROB 7 times until his fuel ran out. (I really need to get a replay of that. xD)
I'm certain that was Gum. The person playing as R.O.B. did a No Contest. When me and my brother, Uffe, were watching that video, we thought, "What the heck?" I thought someone was checking out R.O.B.

Especially Dryn, koikaze, and sarahharp.
Sadly, I'm not all that nice when I get frustrated, which can occur while I am playing brawl. I suppose my attitude differs on who I'm brawling with and how the person I am playing against makes his or her wins. I sometimes chide my brother for using Ness and throwing me backwards just to defeat me. I call that the "desperate throw." Yet, I've noticed a friend of mine who calls himself Platinum Shadow, or PlatS, get tossed like four times. He was at a very high percent, but he was DI'ing it! So, I guess I'll have to learn that for myself to live longer.

Anyway, you're right, Tudor. We all should be helping each other. I know that I learned a new trick from watching MookieRah when he tried out Samus. He'd use his f-air and end up behind his opponent, only to f-smash him. I thought to myself, "I must add that to my style." I guess I should be called the Assimilator, since I assimilate techniques and use them for myself. ;)

I did sooo much for the Samus community :(. I had faith...I wrote sooo much about samus. I played nothing but Samus for months..

Then...I drifted away...I went back to GW and got obsessed with ICs. Honestly I enjoy playing ICs so much that I thought I would drop everyone else..but it wears off. Now..I miss Samus.

So, as of tonight, I play Samus again :). Last time I played with Pozerwolf(The best or second best snake in Texas) I went even with him using samus. Time to start practicing :).

Also, I personally think Rohins has an amazing samus.

And I have a replay of me 3 stocking sethlons Falco :)...I bet Tudor would love to see that :). <3.

Xyro only acts like that on the forums. Try talking to him on AIM some time.

Anyway, I'd say that Tudor, Xyro, and Rohins round out the top three Samus players. I just don't know what order to place them in.

Also, good for you, Hylian! Nice to have you back. :D

No real good way to determine the best samus...

I don't think asking for the best samus is doing anything constructive for the community either...

How bout we settle on the current top known samus players...

It's also hard to judge how good characters are being played so early in the game too, because some people might just not be use to that character and given some more opportunities to play them may be able to decimate them eventually once they understand them more...

On a side note, I wanna be the best samus

Um...I love Xyro but he is not top 3 >_>. He has never even placed top 5 in a tournament with samus... And the tournaments he goes to are easy to place high in. 90% of them I can 3 stock >_>. There are about 5-7 good players that go to Houston tournaments...

That would please all Samus players, I bet. I saw how Sethlon played against Tudor, and I was so angry. Just seeing that video of yours would make me have a spirit of high-esteem! :chuckle: It's good to have you back, Hylian. Not that we were ever close friends or anything like that. Um, I'll just be quiet now. :(

^Xyro: The universe doesn't revolve around you, surprisingly enough, but I think with a slightly more inflated ego you might just be able to start a gravitational pull of your own strong enough to make me eat my words...

EDIT: Dryn is so corny lol

"What? You just picked Samus again!"

"Yeah, but this time, I'm going with the Dark Suit colors!"

Thats because I am not dropping them?
No sense in burning bridges, right?

I've always wondered why they never implemented that suit color in your sig Hylian, good to have you back. ^_^

Edit: *read Dryn's post* ok, um, not a personal friend either, but I still remember those days of Melee long gone.

I will never use only 1 character >_>. I find that boring. I currently have severel characters that I can play at tournament level.

At FAST1 I used these characters in tournament: GW, ICs, Samus, MK, Marth, Falco.

Characters I play: GW/ICs/Falco/Samus/DK/MK/Snake/Marth/Lucario/TL/Ike/Wolf and I recently picked up Diddy and Kirby >_>.

Out of those I would say my top 3 are: GW/ICs/Falco.

Maybe you've gotten me confused with someone else. :ohwell: I know of no other person named "Dryn" from Melee, nor did I go by this name until I played Brawl. When Brawl was out in Japan, I was still playing Melee and for the first time actually giving myself a name. That name was "Q," after the Q document.

I use Zamus, Zelda, Sheik and Link besides Samus. I guess this means I'm not a true believer, either? Lol.

I use Samus (Gravity Suit color, with an exception if I am brawling with another Samus player who uses the Gravity Suit color), Pit (default color) and Donkey Kong (green color). I use Samus more than the other two, however.

I think in order for you to be a really really really good BRAWL player you'd have to be good with a lot of the characters, since they have counters against other characters.

I don't think we should restrict any one person to any one character in any way.

I'm also not a fan of giving yourself sub labels...like...'I'm the best male/female samus player' 'I'm the best samus only player'

It's all or nothing *****s...you're either THE best or your not...and unfortunately I don't think we have any reasonable way to conclude who is the best SAMUS player.

My best char is probably samus, I want to play her, I want to be good WITH her. I can play decent other characters too, mainly because brawl isn't so tech based and you can get far w/ just the right style of playing with only a few adjustments to different characters attacks. I could probably be a better BRAWL player with another character, but I want to play samus.

MK(please don't hate me), Ganon, Samus, & Snake to some degree. It seems harder to exclusively use 1 character alone nowadays, moreso than Melee, since the game has changed since then, and there are more discernable advantages/disadvantages that everyone has, so it seems to be almost critical to have a secondary if you're against one of those disadvantages.

Nothing's impossible though.

Edit: Forgot about ROB

@ Hylian, now that I know how sethlon plays when he loses and is scared, it's obvious how to beat him. I don't play like that though so I don't know if I would win anyways. Don't think I don't know how to play falco, I play with SK92... the falco that beat sethlon t azonetwo step.

If you don't play to win, then how do you expect to do well in tournament?

Don't make johns for losing. Sethlon doesn't get "scared". You say it like you can beat him easily. Which is a joke. Falco is one of samus's worst match-ups...

And since when do dittos mean anything? Especially Falco dittos. One grab = Death. I mean...MY falco goes even with sethlons in dittos and he has a much better Falco.

There is no obvious way to beat Sethlon. Don't be so arrogant. He is an amazing player.

I was too lazy to log on to give my response, so I did something productive out of boredom and laziness. Despite the fact that this would've taken me only ten seconds to type on the forum, I figured this would get my point across more clearly.

Odyssey1319 is my deviantART, by the way.

I play to win but not quite like you (dropping Samus). There's no john's in what I said. I just noticed how he changed his gameplay after losing the first match. Sigh, I never said SK92 is better. This is stupid.

Ok time for hella immaturity on my part, but hey.. Brawl is about 90% game play 100% trash talking. Back to the point. Xyro sucks at brawl!! And he sucked even more at melee!! YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHH

Lol at Hylians post "Sethlon doesn't get "scared"" I wish i never got scared, I would be unbeatable.

You noticed how he played better the next two matches, and lost to a grab? I don't understand.

And don't try to belittle me for not maining Samus. I enjoy other characters more. G&W I played since before the game came out in america.

It's like you have a problem with people who play to win...There is nothing wrong with picking a character because they are good. Using only samus doesn't make you better then anyone. It's all about tournament results. Character Choice is at your disgression. If you choose to limit yourself competitively by only playing one character then by all means feel free. But don't think poorly of others just because they want to win.

I think people chose a lot of mains and don't stick with 1 character because brawl's gameplay is so basic.Aside from the IC's and their chaingrabs no characters really have stuff to learn on them (like in depth hard stuff that takes time to perfect or even get close). In melee like every character had combo's that you could do (Falco pillar, fox shinedash, Samus SWD [not really a combo but...once you perfect it you feel badass], Cfalc had some, etc etc).

In melee there was also wavedashing and the timing was pretty diff for every character, so once you got use to one character you felt way more comfortable using that character as opposed to the others where you kept air dodging halfway through your jump or something...which got you discouraged and forced you to stick with the char you could already do advanced techs and combo's with...

But in brawl it's like...dash canceled up smash? That's about as advanced techy as we can get here...once you know how to read your opponent and how to react the only things you really have to get use to on a new character is the length of his/her foot/fist, shield KB, and grabrange....which is simple stuff you can learn in a few matches...this inspires a lot more diversity among people and their characters since they can pick up another character with only the knowledge of how to read their opponents and do decent with it as opposed to melee where if you picked up a never before used character you'd get your *** pounded with L-canceling and wavedashing.

And to be realistic...it's possible to kick *** with any character in brawl, it's always possible...it's just not always easy

Well if you really want some here's an old play list against a great R.O.B.

http://www.youtube.com/view_play_list?p=79519AE2552C2BF8

Here's some team video's from the nexus tourney a month ago against Hugo and Futile.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ynkp3lRN39M&feature=PlayList&p=92BC502F4886B39C&index=9

EDIT: Gum your Samus looks really great! Good stuff dude =)
Do one of those videos have you d-airing R.O.B. multiple times, Tudor? That's all I was asking for from Kitamerby.
