What Kind of Atmosphere Do You Prefer?

What kind of Atmosphere puts you in a calm mood? Whether it be a party scene surrounded by friends, or in a park all by your lonesome.

For me, a storm puts me in the mood. The wind, rain, thunder, and clouds create a type of harmony that lets me forget about everything else. It's my way of washing troubles away.

So what about you?

I prefer an atmosphere of approximately 78% nitrogen, with 21% oxygen. Throw in a little 1% of argon to spice it up, and you're good to go.

I prefer it to be cold and snowy.

That puts me in a great mood... and there's nothing like the first feeling of autumn coming. That's one good thing about summer, right? That means it's coming! ^_^

can't be sunny, can't be warm. I like cooler environments, especially when it is snowing, probably my favorite weather, next to pouring rain. I am NOT emo. I am most calm when alone, but am generally pretty laid back overall, except when it comes to my siblings, they can really tick me off. My dad is pissed about the hole in the wall

I would like a hectic environment, possibly a warzone, then I would feel pretty calm...seriously, when it is all quiet i would just sleep, but in a warzone with explosions and bullets whizzing, I could get something done.

October

October is a beautiful month, in my opinion. At least in New York it is. The plentiful trees are all golden and the air is crisp. The breezes are gentle and smooth, and overall, the weather is perfect. Never sticky like July or chilling like December. During the day, the sky is usually dim, but not too cloudy. Occasionally, the sun pops out and slips through the blanket of aging leaves. Under the moonlight, the trees shimmer and the ground has a dark lightness to it. It's just a perfect environment for me, with the way everything is settling in for Autumn.

Wow, you make NY sound like a wonderland. I'll put it on my list of places to visit.

I seriously lol'd hard at this.

I like the feeling you get before a thunderstorm. The cold air cools your lungs. It feels great.

I also like rainy days.

I say summer is crap and pointless. :p

You really can't enjoy the outdoors when it's full of disgusting bugs, terribly humid, and too hot.

I'm so going to steal that description for a school project! *Copies* Man, I want to go to New York...

I like a cool temperature and a blanket of snow outside, with the sun visible but not melting the snow. Man, I miss winter.

I think Fall and Winter the most.

I love it when it's snowing out, no matter how fast the flakes fall. It's really great if they're obese chunks of white gliding down...It covers the trees and everything, and I remember twice when it rained but froze over the next day and encased everything in ice. It was really beautiful. I just hate it when it gets unbearably cold or you can't really do anything with the snow, you know, the type that's all dusty and doesn't stick together well.

Fall is my second favorite, because I love the sunsets and they just look awesome. I sound like a hippee, i know, but it's really great. The leaves changing to all those rich colors isn't bad, either. And it's really something to see when the leaves start to swirl around. I have to mention times during and after it rains, too. So peaceful, tad weird, but whatever.

...Oh, and summer can be okay at night. Except that it's still hot. But once a saw a red moon at night with some friends and it was creepy and amazing and excellent all at the same time.

There aren't any seasons here so I can't really say any time of the year is different, it's all the same.

Anyway I prefer being with a lot of friends, the more the merrier. Sometimes I prefer being alone but after awhile things get dull so it's good get a mix of both.

Calm, but steady, rain. Cool enough to wear a sweater and not be sweating or anything. Quiet, with no noise, while listening to music.

I'm set with that, especially if I'm walking somewhere.

my favorite atmosphere you ask?...

it has to be windy rainy days especially around mid-October through early December which is how it is down in Texas, also Winter is my favorite Holiday season because cold climate because I simply like cold air going through me, to bad we rarely get any snow down here, the only time we ever got snow was a few years back on Christmas Eve which I really enjoyed ^_^

Well, yeah, I would have to say no to that.

Where do you live? Alaska?

Ouch, I can't image never having snow. It's undoubtedly my second most calming atmosphere. *Refuses to go into another long description*

There's seasons in Alaska. =P

I'd like to go up there someday...

I can't either. Even if we don't get that much around here. (the last white Christmas was like 1999 or 2000.) Any snow we got around here during the winter melted in a few hours due to the insane bipolar weather.

I'm really ready for the winter to come back. Something about long, hot, sunny, and terribly humid summer days makes me very depressed. (but NOTHING depresses me more than Spring.)

A summer day when it's not to hot and I'm by myself. Too bad that rarely happens for me but when it does, I make it enjoyable.

A cool winter afternoon in the Mt. Ashland Ski lodge near where I live. A hot cup of coffee in one hand and a good book in the other, seated by a window with a good view. Ideally I'd be a little tired -after falling down the mountain in all sorts of bizare ways while snowboarding- to better appreciate standing still for a bit. That's the most relaxing few hours you can get right there.

A great summer day at my aunt and uncle's lake, which looks like a tropical island. I like to have music that brings back great memories to me while I'm gazing at the beauty of the lake (I.E. Melee, Luigi's Mansion, and Mario Party 4 music, and some songs that played in The Young Ones). But it's much better at night time. I like to have a full moon out, my said music playing, a fire going, and occasionally look up at the moon and the stars in the sky while playing the "Menu 2" music from Melee. It makes me feel so peaceful, and it brings back such good memories of when I first went to that lake, and when I was at my house, I would play all the games I mentioned, and watch The Young Ones a lot, too.

So, as you can see, it's basically about thinking back to the good ol' days.

EDIT: Oh, and I especially love dawn. More than sunsets even. Don't know why, but I do...

There really is one in every crowd isn't there? As for me, I like the rain so probably that.
