Every time a lag spike hit we desynced. What little fight we got in was fun though. I think between the 7-9 desynced fights we did we got ineffective fight's worth

So I tried this yesterday.... Wavedashing really is alot harder. It's kinda like learning to Wavedash for the first time.... this might be easier with a modded controller, but I suppose it would just take practice with Z.
It feels so unnatural with Z though...

I really, really want to play other people with this shiz on. It's SO entertaining and extremely fun.
I've been wanting to give these a shot against real players instead of CPs. Hit me up with a PM if you wanna play.

i was playing with this on today and i found a pretty nice way to dash cancel(i hate shield canceling) anyways when you run let go of the stick and press Y then z fast just like jump cancel grabs in melee and you will stop and you can do anything after.. works well enough for me ^^

so now all we need to do is add hit stun, remove the recovery magnets, (u must recover ) and make everyone less floaty.

Combing metaknight will be though.
Meta Knight has hair? 0.o

Lol, jk with ya buddy. It'd be pretty fun either way, and there's ways around him.

I fully support Brawl though, but mixing it up wit some Melee elements can spice things up. Maybe we've just become too used to Brawl...

um.... u cant instal the homebrew channel anymore.... nintendo stoped it with the last update :(
No... you CAN, Bushing made an updated HBC that works with the new update. Also, he might not have updated to the new update so he could STILL install it.

Gosh, why are people all in the dark about this stuff when it's been posted like four times today?

will cause the game to not even load as it alter the game id at 80000000. You'll just get lime green screen saying to please insert the Super Smash Bros. Brawl disk. I know this because I've accidentally modified the game id countless time when making codes, though now that I think about it, I'm not sure what would happen if such a code was loaded before the game starts as I only use WiiRD to upload codes and not the SD card any more.

A couple of things I've noticed/thought/discovered. I'm sure it's all been noticed before, but I'm not going to dig through so many pages and it's always worth reiterating, I guess:

After performing an airdodge, you can still footstool jump. I only tested with Samus->ZSS, but I don't see why it wouldn't always work.
I've swapped Y to shield for easier airdodging/L-cancelling. Having to hold down the shield button makes it dodgy to not end the wavedash with a shield.
Luigi (no surprise)/Ice climbers/maybe others seem to go significantly farther than everyone else, who have roughly similar length WDs. Seems quite bizarre. That said, Luigi's seems to either stop immediately or have some form of lasting momentum that will take you really far (1/2 FD length).
It looks like all characters can perform a pseudo edge-hog by releasing the edge then airdodging back into it. There's quite a bit of lag, but you probably remain invulnerable for a large duration of the animation. You can also waveland from a ledgehop VERY easily - I can see this being very good for certain characters who can pivot immediately after a waveland into a punish for someone trying to edgeguard by standing near the edge itself.

I'll try and host some videos of games at some point - our group of players aren't exactly high calibur, but we may as well try and contribute.

I hope you're not using the code in the first post and you're using the final version. :dizzy: (Footstooling someone after an air dodge was left in there on purpose by Phantom Wings).

not at all, there's plenty of discussion to be had. Granted the title of this thread should change to simple "Brawl hacked" or "Brawl+" because now there's more than just wavedashing
