Heyas. Thanks for hosting N1V, great tournament, had some fun today. A shame the melee singles had to be cancelled because of the lack of people. Everyone has improved, especially for the doubles. Also a shame none of the matches were recorded, had some crazy matchs today, but oh well.

With the information that I have I will tell you the most that I can 
We have had a $5 Entry fee every tournament thus far where the winner takes 80% of the total and the runner up takes 20%. We have had 7 Singles tournaments and 2 Doubles tournaments. The winner/runner up for each is as follows.
1. Winner: Me (Toon Link) Runnerup: Brax (Wolf)
2. Winner: Me (Toon Link) Runnerup: Jon (Pit/Snake)
3. Winner: Me (Toon Link) Runnerup: Jon (Pit/Snake)
4. Winner: Me (Toon Link) Runnerup: Jon (Pit/Snake)
5. Winner: Me (Toon Link) Runnerup: Jon (Pit/Snake)
6. Winner: Me (Toon Link) Runnerup: Ric (Diddy Kong/Wario/ROB/G&W)
7. Winner: Me (Toon Link) Runnerup: Ric (Diddy Kong/Wario/ROB/G&W)
Richard doesnt have any specific main, he switches between a lot of different characters. As for me, I have played snake in some of the matches but most of the time I'm playing Toon Link.
For the Doubles:
1. Winners: Me and Richard (Snake & Donkey Kong) Runnerup: Cal and S&Y (Fox & Snake)
2. Winners: Me and Richard (Snake & Donkey Kong) Runnerup: Ryan and n1v (Yoshi & ROB)
I dont know the exact number of entrants for each of these tournaments but the numbers have varied from about 15-24. With the information that I have, thats the most I can provide for you. Hope it helps!

I used Falco for all my matches except for one match where I used G&W. But yeh I think everything else is correct according to my knowledge. Well, apart from Ric coz he uses like the whole cast.

Grats to ric for beating me and blowing my mind with his skill i dont think ive versed him since the second tourney weve had heh.. Ive got some **** to organise for a big surprise im getting babs which requires me to be very very sneaky and unfortunately saturday may be my only day to slide under the radar so well see.. I do appreciate you guys runnin these tourneys on days im back however so thanks..

I figured it would be hard for people to organise their own crews so I was thinking of something like north of the river vs south of the river. (If there are too many people we can just nominate the 5 best from each region and then have a misc. crew if there are enough numbers ^_^)

I will have the usual Brawl singles (possibly doubles and Melee singles, there should be plenty of time if I can get more Wiis organised) and crew battles as a side event.
Crew battles are "team" events which consist of many 1v1 matches. Each crew sends in a lead player. Whoever wins the match stays in and plays the next person from the opposing crew. (the crew captain would usually send in a "counterpick" player) The winner of the previous match can use their remaining stock in the next match. Example:
Sam vs Niven
Sam wins with 2 stock remaining
Crew captain sends in Jon
Sam vs Jon
Sam SDs one of his stock to make the match 2 vs 3 stock
Jon wins with 1 stock remaining
Crew captain sends in Mic
etc... etc...
The winner is the crew who knocks out all of the opposing crew members.
There are more specific rules which I will post later (stage/character restrictions)

Yeah Niv i remember watching some videos of i think californian crews battling it out similar to what your suggesting. It consisted of a few big name players in melee and samus players shouting 'EXTENDOORR!!!' everytime they grabbed someone heh.
Anyways i love this idea and think it would be a mad twist and welcome addition to our scene. Count me in for zee south side dude and if you need any help or want me to hold this event at my place then let me know.

I like the whole team idea and reckon it'd be easy to get 5 south, 5 north. I just hope the tournament doesn't collide with my TEE exams..**** them all -_-
