That's a bit incorrect. Hydrogen-1 is just a proton with an electron, yes, but Hydrogen-2 and -3 do occur in nature and are more than just a proton.

Exactly. Everything has to start somewhere, and a singularity is the smallest you can get. Thus, without trying to prove a being exists outside the universe, which is impossible with current technology, everything started with the Big Bang.
