Yeah if you can pull a ninjalink and use every character effectively then counterpicking will be a useful tool up your sleeve

I used to counterpick with Metaknight at times, but recently I've been going all out falco. I feel that this way I can truly advance as a player and it's a good challenge for me. Plus, I don't think falco absolutely needs a secondary (although marth/meta are really good) to do well in tournament.

Low tier characters are a different story though, if you're samus then you might want someone to help out against DDD (and other heavily disadvantaged matchups)

lulz. if i keep practicing, im only going to get used to the matchups and vastly improve my game. although there is a lack of people to train up on each and every matchup.. but oh well.

i always use one character despite the difficulties i may come across. helps me more as a player. plus i get off on challenges.

well im home from work. The overnight shift was horrible, i work overnights at mcdonalds. the majority of the rest of the overnight staff are a bunch of indian guys who barely speak any english. me getting any sleep was contingent on the indian guys doing their job so i didnt have to stay back, sadly that didnt work. As a rule i dont like to change the plans i make last minute, alister is coming at 10-10.30. ill be glad to see you guys in my sleep deprived state

I suppose I could counterpick, I have mained just about everyone on the character selection, excluding; DK, Peach, Bowser.

But im not really for counterpicking, Id prefer sticking with one character (or 2). Ill see how I go today with some more offline practice, hopefully I make up my mind.

I think you'll find that Dorf and Falcon are the most fun you'll have playing anyone, because anytime you hit anyone with anything, its epic and awesome.

Tails i noticed your comments on trying to avoid counterpicks and while this may be good in regards to learning your character better, eventually you will need counterpick stages and characters regardless if you like it or not_ The truth is that some characters have matchups that are either near impossible or too hard to waste time using a character that has a serious disadvantage_

I main Shiek for example, but some characters i will not use her purely on the matchup or personal counterpicks i feel will be more beneficial_ IC is a straight 'no' to using Shiek because i know i will lose the majority of the time_

The advantage of having a counterpick stage/ character will boost your chances by turning a disadvantaged matchup into an advantageous one_ Unfortunately as Link you are going to feel alot of pressure in many matchups because of his large disadvantages_ It will work into your advantage to accept your characters flaws and work with as much as you possibly can, but know when your better option is a stage or character change (or both)_ You'll learn who plays what character through tournaments, but knowing your matchups, counterpicks and character flaws ultimately make you stronger_

Don't be fooled into feeling that choosing a secondary character is a sign of weakness if you choose a character who needs support_ It only makes you a stronger gamer_

ultimately, im going to go ganon for a majority of the time, but if i feel i really need to CP a different character, the only two decent characters i have besides Ganon is DK and ROB. not pit yet, im working on him at the moment

i mean, the real last straw for me to switch out from ganon would be Ice Climbers and maybe shiek (horribad matchups) im prepared to go against everyone else with Ganny :D so mainly Bob and Glenn? i think it is i'll need to keep an eye out for

I just reread over some other people posts and lol'ed about Vlade stating that he used MK for 'certain' matchups_ Just spit it out Vlade_ You needed him for Olimar matchups

Slightly disadvantageous matchups don't really count for counterpicks imo because they can be won_ I'm still learning this with Falco, for a matchup i keep telling myself that couldn't be won, i'm finding ways that work around it much like TL_ Some matchups aren't as deceptive as they appear to be, it's the ones that are black and white bad for you that you should really research into_

I'll probably use a mix of MK and DDD against TL. Still don't know the matchup but I learn most of my matchups either from theorycrafting on the way to a tourney or mid-match lol.

So, for those of you who weren't there, although I'm pretty sure everyone who mattered for this was there, SQUAT will be about $30 a night accomodation and $400 for the flight, if you're staying with the main group, as opposed to staying with your fiance, like someone who actually gets sex. I might not be able to go to Tourney this Sunday coming up as that Monday i have a english exam which is a essay on the dark knight that is going to have a question so i am going to study on how to write it all of sunday and some from saturday.

Novemeber 16th - 20th i Have work exprience doing it at this graphics place that use alot of programs for web design and huge billboards posters etc. Some programs they use are:

Photoshop CS4
INDESIGN
Adobe Illustrator
Dream Weaver

And then i have a 3 day camp on 23rd November until November 25th. Then have Work Exprience again on the 26th and 27th. Not going to camp so might just stay home since you have to go to it but i'm not going to go so i will stay safe at home and just say i was sick.

But dayum new super mario bros wii is coming out in a good time. Since Work exprience might only be in the morning until 12:00 or so, so not normal school times that means i will have all that week to play new super mario bros wii :D.

All i have to do is study for maths exam and thats all.

In other news i completed mario and luigi Bowsers inside story. If you haven't played it yet then you must since to me it's the best DS game out this year and maybe best DS game of all time.

New super mario bros wii will be best wii game out so far and game of the year. Can't wait for spirit tracks aswell hope they give out a train as a pre-order bonus. I heard it takes place 100 years after Phantom Hourglass so should be good.
