a smart fox is ridiculously gay, being nearly impossible to catch. nair -> shine goes nearly unpunishable vs falcon, leaving you with few options while lasercamping racks damage like no other projectile

*let him come to you, or you'll get raaaaaped
*retreating nair, retreating dair are probably the best ways around sh nair
*space; stay at a distance in which fox is unable to laser without you being able to run up and grab him. don't be too close or nair ***** you/don't be too far or lasers **** you. there is a correct distance to be from fox, and many many incorrect distances

i would suggest, if youre dashdancing, moving around or w/e, be too far away and be ***** by lasers rather than ***** by nair

nair leads to things and traps you, etc.

it takes like 6 lasers to equal one nair by itself

long story short, dont panic and rush in just because fox is shooting lasers. too many people get scared of lasers in general and as a result try too hard to do something about it

other than that i really dont know, i feel like i get lucky whenever i do good vs smart foxes

don't get grabbed and recover high.. falcon's recovery is soo easy to shine

oh, and "don't get grabbed" pretty much boils down to "don't get hit"
;
nair combos into shine
shine combos into grab
up ANYTHING combos into grab
nair also combos into grab
dair combos into shine

if you're getting ***** by uthrow stuff DI down and away to prevent a regrab after the nair (as a fox, i hate when they do :()

What I hate most vs Fox are those vertical KOs at ridicously low %...

your DI'ing wrong, Flacon isn't luigi or puff.

Just patience, like vs all his ohjer worst matchups (Jiggs, Sheik, Falco). I've been recently trying to calm down while playing my hyper-agressive fox main friend. I've been fairing better.

Falcon has the best vertical resistance in the game he will live a long time compared to other characters against Fox's usmash and uair.

I already know... what I meant is that, even in the PAL version, is ridicolous for Falcon to die at percentages like that. I got too much used abusing his weight and when I play against Fox I always get a bit disappointed ):

I've heard this is helpful but tilting your shield upwards helps mess the Fox player's L-Cancels, which would end up leading into a grab which hopefully would go into a successful tech chase and them end up losing a stock. I typically suck at tech chasing Foxes though =( Tech in place -> spot dodge happens too much and my knee followup barely misses everytime >_< I'd assume running up then shielding then jumping OoS to knee would fix this problem though lol.

Would it be acceptable to let fox grab you after kneeing his shield, for the sake of Raptor boost---> ****** him next time? Or would that be too risky?

i don't think good foxes are going to try to grab a well spaced knee because they except a gentlemen right after

either way, too much hitstun to realistically shield grab

space neutral airs or dash dance so you can grab as soon as he makes an approach, better foxes will not be so one dimensional though and might do stuff like run a little past u and then n-air, stuff like that

if you are facing a fox who doesn't suck weiners, never attack out of shield and instead just wave dash out and run or roll and get away

I think the fastest way to assess someone's skill is to dd camp the left and shield the approach. Then (while still holding shield down) hold cstick right until you make it to the other side. if you get away with it, try it again from that side of the stage. Keep going until they punish

lol
