Good job bwett. Some critiques if you'll accept them =P

D3: Ok, im not sure if u didnt camp so much cuz its friendlies, which is fine, but camp moar!!!
Also, some of those early percent jabs on second stock should be replaced with ftilt, same amount of damage, more combos. Also, please dair more on his shield, woulda helped u alot first stock, to not get grabbed. I wont say more aggressive grabs, cuz thats just how i play, but you might want to consider a few running grabs to mix up your game. Along with sh dairs, D3 will have trouble. A lil less of the bair on his full shield, you notice how you got grabbed out of it a few times. Once his shield is worn down by bair, then you can go for some sh bairs, until then, camp and dair and grab lolol. You've taught me well =D

Kirby: Not much to say, nice job.

MK: I did that to a marth last week in a tourny, except mine spiked him straight up into the uair without another jump. Nice comeback. Didnt watch the whole thing, but it looked goodz.

Bwett rules!

This is my first post here, but if anyone's interested, here's a video of me completing Boss Battles on intense without taking any damage with Yoshi ^^

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fdw-UlcdXFE

I'm doing a series of all the characters (I started with Yoshi because he's my main) but I've got 10 characters done so far out of the 39 total. Anyway, check out the video if you want.

Heh, apparently. I noticed that earlier today when I was browsing through the videos. Any idea who "found me"? It would explain why that particular boss battles video has 7,000 more views than all the other ones =P

If I can get some matches recorded, I'll send 'em your way. The only problem I've been having is every match is longer than 3 minutes so I can't get anything recorded. I'd love to hear some tips on how I fight from you guys : )

Thanks for the tips Burntsocks. Actually, I've been talking with a few of my friends and we have made a bit of a breakthrough in how to keep constant pressure with yoshi while maintaining the unpredictability of Yoshi. It's nothing too big but you can definitely see it in action in this video, which I would like to be posted as well :)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jafBjWjL7GA (vs. DK)

The constant interchanging of bair and egg works so well. It causes the opponent to become used to a set pattern that you can change up so fast. It's really simple but works great. Give it a try ;)

EDIT: Btw, omg, if DK grabs you out of your second jump, instant kill for him unless you can wiggle out fast enough. Watch at the end of the first stock. I don't think my eggs can stop that momentum or get back fast enough...sick lol

Interesting concept...lol. I don't really wanna be one of those narcissistic *******s that make a thread just for their videos to be special...*cough* bigman *cough* :p

But I actually was thinking about making a thread, but what do yall think? Should I?!?!?

The music editing wasn't me. My friend recorded all these at different smashfests, and right now he is experimenting with editing for future use in making a combo video and stuff like that. Just mute it ;)

I think I might. It will make it easier to have all my videos in one place...in another thread lol

Any tips on fighting a Marth player? The back aerial always gets canceled by the forward aerial of Marth and it has priority. I can't use eggs to maintain my distance and rack up damage anymore because the Marth I'm playing against has learned how to dodge them extremely well to the point where I'm lucky to hit him with 3-4 eggs a life. I can't chain throw him and all the combos listed in the "grab combo" thread don't work against him because he's adapted and can get out of them. I'll be uploading the videos soon to Youtube under my Youtube name (YOSHssb) and I'll let you guys know when they're up. Any help whatsoever is greatly appreciated because it's really irritating... to continually lose to only Marth.

Try to use that SH-egg-toss to either hit him with the egg or punish his dodge with an auto-canceled aerial.

If you can't outplay the opponent, out-think him!

The problem with marth is that his dash allows him to easily run under your eggs and instantly punish. You have to stay at a much larger distance when you want to use eggs. Alternate bairs and eggs so that if you use an egg and he tries to approach, you can stay him back with bair.

Also, the worst thing about marth is his side-b. It comes out nearly instantly and punishes spot dodging so always shield the full hits before doing anything. Be wary of using fsmash. If marth shields it, it sets him in perfect range for a fsmash tip punish. Use insane amounts of empty SH's and retreating bairs until you find an opening. Once you break through, you have to maximize the amount of damage in this opening.

If you find marth off the edge, it is extremely difficult to edgeguard but it might be beneficial to try or pressure his approach to the stage with eggs. You are at an advantage if you get under him so try to get him high in the air.

So, here's a few of my own Yoshi matches. I've also really, really, REALLY been wanting to play some of the other Yoshis here (even though Yoshi mirrors aren't my forte, hehe). Maybe these videos can pique their interest a bit.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TuXg5GjfXGc (vs. Snake)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ei-tBCEHb0s (vs. Ike)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uCLaukjGIus (vs. Meta Knight)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t-Vm4lpu6aQ (vs. Bowser B)

You might also notice that I occasionally shake the camera. That's because it's the only way I can figure to get rid of the horrible screen flickering...

Enjoy!

Here are 3 Marth matches that I just uploaded. I should be recording again tomorrow and hopefully I'll have better luck. But, even though I lost all 3, the first and third matches were extremely close and any specific help regarding the matches would be appreciated:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0b0g6654yeg
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sk5sjbcbZIg

Well, hope you guys can help me out, and I wish I didn't freaking SD on my 2nd life.

Some things I do know about these fights are that I used the egg roll too many times (it used to work better against him in the past but he adjusted and I still instinctly use it). I missed a few edge grabs. I still grab the edge like I did in Melee with the fast fall, double jump toward the stage, so even though it's not necessary to double jump to grab it, I still do it instinctly and sometimes I get a little too quick and completely miss. Anyway, enjoy. More to come in the future.

Quick general question to all you Yoshi mains. Do you have up to jump turned on or off? I've been noticing in a lot of videos that you guys use the eggs when coming back before the 2nd jump so I would assume you all have the up-jump off. The reason I ask is because I have it turned on because some of my combos require that it's on (at least that's how I've learned them). But if all of you have it turned off and you would suggest that it's off, than I'll work on relearning my combos using Y/X.

Being able to use eggs before your second jump is needed. Personally, it is probably one of the most important parts of your game if you want to be competitive.

You can do this with Tap Jump on. And it's not really all that hard, either; it just takes some practice.

I'm one of the few dedicated Yoshis that uses Tap Jump, and it's helpful to me that people assume I can't Egg Toss jump because of it, hehe.

Just to let you know, most people don't even know how Yoshi works, exactly. I'm sure it won't make too much of a mind game. Now towards another Yoshi player, I can see it lol

Double-post to add a few more vids:

Yoshi vs. Kirby (with wavedashing): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6PvTfz_zbzo
Yoshi vs. Luigi (with gimping): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=26Zd0ZYAa-M
Yoshi vs. Lucario (with furry): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pd8v9pEJ-xk

As you can see, I was in a rush to get the kill at the end of the Lucario match so I could save the replay, hehe. That explains why I got a little sloppy, there.
Uhh why are they all cpus? The first one definately is, the others may be or are really really bad players. Please dont post cpu vids in this thread.

*Cough*

Umm... those second two aren't CPUs. If they were CPUs, they would have grey stocks and a "CPU" symbol above their heads. The first video was just a wavedash demo, hence the title. If it makes you feel better, I'll delete the CPU one.
