I saw a transcript of that interview. I dont understand though, if it took 3-4 years to create abn entirely new game then how would it take 10 times as long for a remake, something for which all the source material already exists.

Maybe they have 40 years of projects and other businessey stuff before they can even start it. Maybe it was a mistranslation. Maybe sakurai is heading the development team

I'd have to agree with Moose here. Square Enix has better things to do. And I'd rather see new things. I've played FF7 that much, it would be kinda pointless.

Like, it would be amazing, but I'd rather see new things.

But rage today, I was cleaning rickys room and fell over, smashing my forehead on the window railing that comes out from his wall. Really hurt tones which made me actually cry, >_<. Still have the headache now... Lucky theres no bump though, I hate being clumsy...

nah the current square enix comapny is total hog****, plus the people that made all the older final fantasys 1-10 have left square and started their own company called mystwalker or something like that, they made lost oddesy which is pretty good.

basically as soon as they changed from square soft to square enix they became instantly ****.


and I still need to get my disc 1 of legend of dragoon of my friends little brothers friend, ****ing **** that he is, I really really want to play that game already and see what all the hype is about.


also ff8 was heaps good, but once you knew what you were doing the game was **** easy

I hated FF12, the game pretty much played itself. didnt enjoy the battle system at all...

My most favorite was FF9 i guess, I never got to try 8

Can't agree there, Enix is a great company in their own right.

Nothing wrong with any of the new FF's either.

I like all Final Fantasies lol. I used to have favorites but over the years I've just regressed to liking it in general haha.

well lets take a look at say final fantasy 7/8/9/10, all of them amazing gamebreaking games in their own right at the time, when people played them they though 'wow, this is an amazing epic game!!!'

whereas say 12 and 13 were 'ok/allright' games, not super amazing at all, they might not be bad games, but they werent super **** like the old ones.

12 was absoloutly horrible. Characters were **** the setting was ****. The battle system was **** the music was..... Ok. Story was terrible. Played out like a terrible final fantay tactics role play forum

I actually find alot of people ***** hard about FF10.

I think it's not the fact that they're making bad games, it's the fact that people are getting bored of them.

FF13's new battle system was amazing, apart from the slow Paradigm Shifts. Like, most new games though, games are **** these days.

That's why I go back to good RPG's like Grandia or LoD, or even Shadow Hearts. Games with twists on the original format that is the standard RPG. They make it more interesting and they make me want to play.

I don't know why people hate 12 so much, seriously.

Some of the stuff that was in 12 was amazing.

ff6 was good needs credit.

square enix wasn't **** at the start they just slowly slipped for me.

btw "live a live" is best rpg for snes. close to Tales of phantasia. breath of fire, ff6, and crono trigger.

How was FF13's battle system ****?

Most people consider it one of the best parts of the game, other than the slow Paradigm Shifts. It was fast paced and it was entirely customizable. I'm not seeing anything wrong with it at all.

FF1 has the 4 Warriors of Light, FF2 is Firion, Leon, Maria and Guy, FF3 is Luneth, Ingus, Arc and Refia if you've played the DS version. You know what FF4 is. FF5 is Bartz/Butz, Galuf, Rena, Faris.

FF3 in America is FF6. Mystic Quest is totally aside from the numbered series.

13's battle system is fun, but once you know what you're doing everything becomes easy imo - just really slow because everythings retardedly high hp count. I didnt finish 13 cos i got bored halfway through lol

moose, legend of legaia was amazing. I remember it having the worst graphics ever, but one of the most fun games. I rented it once, and was just...wow, but i never found one i could buy. =/

I never had a PS1 so I didn't play many of the old rpg's. I had to ROM most of them. Golden Sun is my fave battle system to date, so simple yet to awwwuuuussooommee.

Bleugh FF12 is just... ****. Superman 64 is better than it.
13 I don't have an opinion on as I haven't played it.

SNES/PS1 is where the good RPGs are. Lufia 2, FF7, 8 and 9, LoD. PS2 has a few as well. FFX, Summoner 2 (I don't care if other people don't like this), Dark Cloud/Chronicle, Tales of Symphonia (PS2 NTSC-J version), Tales of the Abyss (NTSC-U, Namco suck and hate PAL). SNES has a bunch that's already been listed. Vesperia is ok, but once again Namco are just idiots with the release of the PS3 one like a few months after it with all the extras.

I like all the Final Fantasy games up until 10, the instant the went to FFX-2 and Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles (GC)..... lolololol, they were awful. I haven't liked a single game they've done since (minus some of the GBA re-releases of the old stuff like FF6).

What's the point of asking people that hate/dislike the game to explain why they don't like it when you like the game yourself.
That's right. There isn't any. We all have different opinions, stewing on what others think (negatively) about a game "you" like is lol and isn't AT ALL what a fanboy does now is it? Nor does it even make sense with your logic, as I could say "Just because YOU liked (whatever) doesn't make it good at all".

I say it's **** after playing it and taking my individual tastes into account, you say it's not while taking your own tastes into account. You don't get points for figuring out where this will go.

A fence sitter would want to hear both sides of the story so he can understand why people feel certain ways about things. He can't really sit on the fence only knowing why people like or dislike a certain thing. I know why people like it, but I can't exactly understand why people dislike it other than the reason that the fighting system is apparently bad.

I could put down a list of what the game did that was great.
