Here's a way to compare me vs Mr.R. My last tourney, I did good vs Ally and got him to last hit in two games... (im not trying to brag, don't think this as me being a ****)
Now, next month, when Ally comes to Europe, unless anybody accomplishes that, me > him

I've seen Ally play in person, and I've seen his playstyle vary depending on who he's playing. He plays a lot of close matches. I rarely see him outright ****** anyone. That's how he plays.

You're using Inui logic. You don't want to be using Inui logic.

Is this topic about the Brawl scene only? IDK much about that, but America wrecks Europe in just about everything else. It was a good effort though, writing that lengthy diatribe and inviting your European friends to come agree with you on the first page.

I never invited anyone really, I posted this at like 13:00 GMT+1, a time at which Europeans tend to be alive and well and on which you guys are fast asleep. It'd only be natural for the first comments to be European.

Thisx100, how can people not see that Minty is da bess? Neo has inconsistent placings lately and only wins with MK, MikeHaze has always been inconsistent, Mr R only wins with gimmicks and by predicting obvious airdodges and I won't EVEN START on Japan. Minty da bess.

As far as I know, Europe's top and high level players in Melee are very well able to compete with the American top and high level players.

Also, not all Europeans agreed with him...

The metaknights here don't air dodge, they just gliude or nado away, nulling all follow ups / juggles.

u know that vid where he pulled off an amazing juggle even though razer was airdodging really predictable. in fact i think he played worse en then kaos did in tsl match 1 .

Mr. r's stuff is really bad... his spacing isn't that good, and he always full hops when there are alot better options... I'm sure I'd WRECK any and all euro players

if my stuff is bad then why is it working ? sure u say my oponnents suck but that doesn't give me a reason to continue using stuff that WORKS.
in my book stuff aka gimmicks that can make u win games and take stocks off on a high level of play should never be considered really bad

Also, I'm not hating on europe at all. Much respect for everyone over there developing their own playstyles. In Melee at least, I learn a lot from watching european videos and always admire the way their top players play so smart.

But, I play Melee and not Brawl. I'm just sure M2K will not lose to any europeans in Brawl, as much respect as I have for them.

Well, when I see Ally loosing to ZSS, I feel there is hope for us considering Europe is "underused chars land"

Also, Marth is his worst mu, and there are plenty of them there.

Keep in mind Ally lost, but he won later on. He has an unbreakable mindset. He is human and he does lose, yes, just like anyone. But his mind is more focused than every other player, and if you give him even the slightest clue as to what you're doing, he will capitalize.

Also, people can keep up with him initially, until they run out of strategies or tricks. Ally doesn't rely on stand alone strategies or tricks, his game is much more free flowing, a playstyle I have yet to see anyone replicate with any character. So, you do good against him with certain tricks and strategies, until he sees them, and then you're stuck trying to use limited strategies that he's not losing to anymore.

And, since his playstyle is much more solid than just using tactics and strategies, once you run out of yours, you're stuck playing against someone who will not be figured out in the end, like every other player.

It's fascinating to watch, although Marth is his worst matchup so we'll see what happens.
