Well, I guess since everyone has lefty arena is closing down good games Shiny and Idon, I sure had fun exploiting tether recoveries learning the PT / Joker match up.

I just found out that my college actually hosts a bi-annual regional tourney outside of weeklies (which I never bothered to do).

And obviously, this is the 1st one for Ultimate.

If the turn out is as big as the Melee tourney usually is (which is around 70-ish people), then there can be some decent competition.

Should I go for it?

A stage isn't even close to comparable to a character, even a damn echo is more preferable.

You're going to be picking that specific stage only a small amount of time, and that stage is probably going to have a layout that you don't like unless you just filter it into Battlefield/Omega where it may as well be the same as any other stage.
Meanwhile look at a character which has an entire moveset, taunts, victory animations, voicelines, several skins, actual fan followings, and the ability to play them whenever someone pleases, and it's not even close.

But sure, I guess if you get a stage, you're represented, which means you're better off than most franchises on the planet.

If we’re only getting Triforce wielders as fighters, I’ll gladly take this Ganon too:

The boss fights with this version have a lot of moveset potential.

Beast Ganon would legit be dope if handled well. A Super Heavy character with a long range weapon like that could be fun.

If Ike is kind of like Seigfried(normal dude with two-handed sword), then Beast Ganon could be more comparable to Astaroth(big dude with a long range weapon), albeit with more pokes than command grabs.

If you're interested, then go for it. Don't join it to win, join it for the experience. Playing Smash with people in person is just so much more fun then doing it online.

I should clear my schedule for my local weeklies at some point.

I think in most instances, people would obviously prefer a character. Though having your series represented by a stage might be a bit better than say, an Assist Trophy. If only because that'd mean some decent music to go along with it, unless said game has trash music, then all hope is lost. Though others might just prefer seeing said character fight alongside others for just a bit.

I don't see why not if you aren't busy then I say you should go for it and I totally believe you have what it takes to win.

Your Ultimate Skills are seriously impressive and I would even say you're one of if not the best person I've played against, You can do it and I say go for it!

Zelda is in that weird spot where it has a ton of popular characters, but not a single absolute "must have". It's not like Metroid or DK where pre Riddle/Krool we could go "where's this specific very important character?"

It doesn't help how much the clone situation complicates things either. Even if it'd ve appreciated, I don't think people would really be satisfied just by an Impa echo alone.

Since someone mentioned the Mario Kart Mobile game, I remember some rumors recently about a Mega Man X mobile game of some kind. Would rather have MMX9, but we got MM11 not too long ago. They should properly space out their main Mega Man products anyhow. Last thing we need is another 7-year Hiatus OR spamming multiple releases to the point of apathy or players being unable to keep up, especially with a lack of advertisement outside of the internet.

A smaller project here or there is fine by me.But there's always gonna be people who'll never be pleased.

I don't play them myself, but others might be interested.

Really, if you're online during a build up to something big, and you KNOW spoilers exist, you really only have yourself to blame for being around social-ish sites.

This is why I almost always stick to Youtube as my main 'daily' site and nothing else, while 100% ignoring the comments.

Yes it is a thing there. They tend to have phases where they literally only support 1-2 characters and actively shout down anyone that supports anyone else though so it's not 100% of the time, but when speculation isn't stagnant I remember it coming up decently often alongside everything else.

The GBA was Great System!! It Had good games!! Should have called it the SNES 2!" And as you said, Metroid and DK had characters that felt like they were missing, in the case of Ridley, K.Rool and I would say Dark Samus and Dixie as well, with the last one still not playable. Or Kirby with B.Dee being in so many recent titles in some capacity.

If this were like FE or FF, where the main cast is constantly changing, this wouldn't be an issue. The newest protag could be in or something. But Zelda changes a lot of it's characters, while Link, Zelda and Ganon are constants or near constants. It makes the rest of them seem not as worthwhile in this particular context.

Like, there's only 2 people who'd like "Demon Train Chancellor Man" from Spirit Tracks for example, and that's being real generous. At least the likes of Midna, Skull Kid, Impa and to a lesser extent Vaati have had solid and consistent support. And even then, there's still 2D era Ganon who could be a cool character to people.

I present them my glorious brain child, and we're ready to go. However before we get started they need to run a quick background check. Everything checks out, they're looking at my crap from the far off year of 2019, but suddenly-

Hell, there's a porn stash at Disney made by animators just tucked away in a corner somewhere.
