How's there been 50 pages since last night? The heck happened?
*Inhales*
No, not at all. People complain about Clones in Smash, so many characters in that game are just straight up clones of one another.
That's... weird. Why is that?
What about Hyrule Warriors then, y'all? I heard for those who hadn't played the Wii U or 3DS games, the Definitive Edition is the best version and really good.
The writing is really terrible. It's like an awful fanfiction that exists solely to contrive all the different characters from different eras coming together. The characters are all very flat, and the dialogue makes them seem like a shadow of the characters as they're known in their respective games.
Gameplay-wise, it's pretty fun. The only major issue is that sometimes there will be missions where 20 minutes in you get a curveball objective that's nearly impossible to succeed in unless you're already prepared for it, so I've to restart big missions a couple times just because of that. Or maybe I just don't know how Warriors games work. I'm not an expert.
I will say that it is definitely bang for your buck. It has so much content for $60, but that's to be expected from an edition that's a game + all DLC released over a few years. Compared to, say, Super Mario Party, you're getting way more value out of the purchase, as it has a lot of replay value for all the upgrades and unlockables.
Oh, but there is one odd technical issue. The game still renders at 1080p when in handheld mode, which decreases performance/battery life. This still hasn't been patched for some reason.
EDIT: Oh yeah, the characters are all very unique. And it's fun to finally get to play as Zelda characters you've never been able to before, like Midna, Zant, Skull Kid, etc. Don't know why they picked Agatha as a character, though. That was a weird one.
