One of my favorite things to do in Mario Maker was to make custom boss fights using layouts and power ups.

Back with the original I usually tried to design a standard platforming stage with a boss at the end, but in Mario Maker 2 I'm thinking I'm going to make a lot of Boss Rush stages.

Also 4 player competitive online on player-made levels sounds like a terrible idea, sign me up.

I mean, again, it's a 20 dollar discount for 2 games.

20$ saved is 20$ saved, because I assure you that buying 2 Switch games new from an actual retailer would be more than 100$.

Also I guess the voucher is Nintendo's way of having digital discounts, not the most optimal discount but hey, at least it's better than nothing. I know I'll use one of them to get Super Mario Maker, but the second one is a tie between Mario Kart, Fire Emblem, and Donkey Kong. I'm a fan of these three series in question so I don't know which one to choose, any suggestions on which one I should get? I guess I COULD save it for when Pokemon comes, that's another way of using it I guess.

If you have friends to play with, Mario Kart.
If you haven't played it already on Wii U, DKC since its pretty much the best one.
If you want to wait a bit, you can use it on FE or Pokemon.

Apparently that's a semi-common thing. Happened to mine literally the moment I turned it on when I first bought it.

It's an easy to google fix though.

Adding on to this, not only does my Switch have a loud fan sound but it's also defective. During gameplay, it will flicker a bit and go dim for a second and even worse is that sometimes it will go pitch black and let out a really nasty screeching sound.

Tried Googling it but I literally had no match so either no one else is reporting it or my Switch is haunted (not really but it might as well be). Been meaning to contact Nintendo for a long time but I've been putting it off due to being busy.

To be fair it could not be split screen.
Would be odd though.

That can't really work either. The only reason that works for games like NSMB and 3D world and such is because the game is designed to accommodate every character being within a relatively short distance of one another. The masses are not going to be designing their levels like that.

Honestly they're relatively inexpensive and would be exceptionally useful in any game where fine touchscreen controls would be appreciated, so while I've seen the teardown and I understand there ain't really much room for it in the Switch, I'm kinda surprised they never thought to include one in, like, the box.

In lieu of that though, they can be made with household stuff. Here's a link for that. Ain't gonna turn you into a JP Splatoon artist but should work fine for Mario Maker.

The game is LITERALLY designed around a full screen. Levels are made with a FULL SCREEN in mind. You can't just make a split screen mode and call it a day, that would absolutely break every single level and get you and others blind-sided by everything.
