As an MLP fan, I can relate, lol. I see no harm with liking MC, especially when there's nothing wrong with it.

Seriously, Minecraft is an amazing game that has actually done a lot of good. I will never understand the rabid hatebase it has. For as toxic as those people insist others who play MC are, I've seen far more toxicity from those that hate it as deeply as they do than from those that just play it because they like it.

EDIT: Oooooof I spelt rabid as "rabbid", lol. That's amazing.

So I'm off today so I made a human version of my avatar.


Since this is not a priority I don't know when this will be done as I have a lot of other stuff to do in the time that I have available to me that's free.

Also I got KH3 and its pretty tight, I got to Monster's Inc so, I pretty satisfied. Crazy to think that, that leak from like two or more years back was real.

If anything, people calling Minecraft, cringy, is cringy in itself...

It happens with anything that gets massively popular (Most notably, Fortnite and Undertale), and tbh, the haters are usually more annoying than the fans.

Which is insane considering the PS3 architecture. It's apparently like the hardest hardware to emulate.

The console wars, while usually dumb, has led to good things through competition. Sony started offering free games for their subscription service, so so did Microsoft. Microsoft pushed backwards compatibility with previous consoles, now so is Sony. Sony offered cross-buy between the PS3 and Vita, so Microsoft made every first party Xbox purchase give you the same game on PC. And hopefully, Microsoft's insistence on cross-platform matchmaking will finally make Sony cave and the console wars will no longer be a thing.

Well except Nintendo. Let's be honest. They'll always do their own thing and they'll always be weird.

It’s kinda weird to think about how it used to be this obscure indie game, still under heavy development, as compared to how it is now where it’s ultra popular and stores are filled with merch for it and it’s owned by a massive corporation and everything.

I first heard of Minecraft from a friend way back when it was in alpha testing. Before getting it, though, I spent a lot of time in the two old free versions of the game, the very archaic Minecraft Classic and the long since deleted Survivial Test. I spent many hours in it since then, eventually getting kind of bored of it though but I still had a lot of fun. I was mostly there for the building though and not for the survivial aspects.

I just remembered something interesting...I actually have MC to thank for getting into MLP, lol.

Way, way back, the Mine Little Pony mod was one of the things that got me interested. If it weren't for that and some people on an old Toontown forum I used to go to recommending it to me, I honestly don't know if I ever would have given it a chance. I'm so glad I did, because FiM is probably one of my most favorite pieces of media ever now.

The majority opinions can be very annoying and overbearing, and honestly cringy in itself. Take it from someone who has always loved weird/unpopular things--screw what the masses think, if you like something, don't let them stop you from enjoying it.

I would be dissapointed if the Minecraft stage was just Battlefield. After all, Mario Maker was a DLC stage in Smash 4, so it is possible to do more stuff than Battlefield for DLC.

And I would like a sequel to Nuts & Bolts, imo.

I've seen a few memes of people lamenting the Minecraft days, because they find Fortnite to be much worse, and it's hilarious.

It helps to get into things before they become popular and your perception of it becomes colored by either high expectations the game might not match, or the poor or obnoxious behavior of the crowds it attracts.

I started playing Minecraft in early 2011, a while before it became the lowest-common-denominator for YouTube kid bait like Fortnite is now, so I was able to enjoy it in spite of what the public perception around it had become. Same with Undertale; I got it a month after it released, just before it became the new big sensation, and I was able to enjoy it for what it was, rather than what the fandom around it had become.

But that's not something you can plan around, so it's unfortunately a matter of luck.

In Minecraft, some materials can be obtained by smelting things in a furnace. You load in both the material to be smelted and some fuel (wood, coal, buckets of lava, ect,) and it will automatically process the materials one by one until it is either out of materials or out of fuel.

Well you can still enjoy something without letting others know about it.

Or just not care what other people think. :p

The Fortnite community is very cringey, but there's cringey elements in practically every fanbase.

Yeah, but Suzaku Castle and Umbran Clock Tower wasn't anything special.

I think you are getting your hopes too high, there's no guarantee that it'll be like Mario Maker. It was a Nintendo property, it was easier for Smash team to borrow assets.
