azula was a mentally traumatised 14 year old who's parents were abusive and expected too much, her mom and uncle treated her like a monster and her father groomed her into a child soldier

Azula was given various chances to change but refused them constantly, she didn't just commit war crimes but also actively antagonized even her own allies which shows she was completely rotten, her upbringing does not justify such behaviour especially when Zuko suffered just as much. If your two best "friends" betray you, you're nd asshole.

Iroh realized the error of his ways and spent years atoning for them by trying to stop the war and taking care of Zuko while teaching him how to not be an asshole.

No, Azula was 100% a ****ed up person. When I say she did nothing wrong I'm half-joking as she did do plenty of bad ****.

But keep in mind that she's, well, a 14 year old child soldier groomed to be a ruthless merciless warlord by her asshole dad. You could argue that Zuko was in the same situation but his uncle and mom both cared about and for him, whereas they both treated Azula - a fourteen year old kid - like a total monster and a lost cause. And that **** affected her heavily- this girl's mental breakdown near the end was all about how her mother saw her.

Basically, Azula did do some awful, horrible ****, but you really gotta cut her some slack at least.
