Oh God that's a loaded question. From my limited experience:

> Take direction. There is nothing at all more aggravating than an actor who isn't processing what the director is asking for.
> Practice. Practice practice practice practice. Learn to be that voice in casual conversation. Read the script multiple times. Record yourself and listen back repeatedly until you know you have the voice.
> Be animated. Don't just read your line. You have to act it out. Your body language affects your voice more than you think, so don't be afraid to move and pose and everything you would if you were stage acting.
> If you're trying to get cast online rather than in-person, get a good mic setup. A lot of times a bad mic ruins an audition before it even starts. If you're serious, get some sort of padded space and a decent microphone.
> Don't be afraid of raising your voice. Seriously. Half the time I have to tell my actor something it's "louder". Project your voice so the editor doesn't have to fix the **** out of it in post.
> Lastly, if you want to learn to do multiple voices, take classes. There are things you can do with your mouth, chest, throat and head to physically force your voice to sound different, and it'll open up lots of routes for you if you have variance. If you only have one voice, it better be a damn good voice. (Like Steve Blum.)

Scott McNeil is a ****ing god and finding a Duo to even somewhat match his style was hard as ****.

Captain Falcon is basically the heart and soul of Smash. I'd argue Smash is the reason why he's still notable, today

Also classes?

A lot of universities offer classes that can be taken by just paying for that one class and not actually enrolling as a full time student. There are also freelancers you could probably find on the internet.

Or I guess you could Youtube it? That's probably a thing. Our show's best character actor took classes and he can voice ten different background characters in the same episode and you can't really tell they're all him. Then my roommate in college took linguistics classes and learned how to authentically move his mouth to match like five different accents. It was kind of impressive.

Does he really need to pay for it though when he's already learned his lesson? It's cheesy to say but the Iroh who sieged Ba Sing Se was a different Iroh then the one who freed it from the Fire Nation. What would the point of punishing him be? What would it accomplish other then fulfilling some arbitrary sense of justice?

I mean, rehabilitation is an important part of punishment.

But there's a reason why we can still arrest murderers decades after the murder has been commited.

In a sense, it is because of "an arbitrary sense of justice". As in, it doesn't make sense as to why Iroh wasn't punished while hundereds of other fire nation warlords who did way less bad **** were punished simply because they weren't buddy-buddy with the Avatar gang.

Like we do know that he learned his lesson, but it just isn't fair or equal, which is a large part of "justice" as a whole.

Even the American justice system still takes this into account, it still jails old people years after crimes were commited but they usually are given a slightly lesser sentence because of the fact that they require less rehab. But they are still jailed nonetheless, as a part of punishment is also, well, punishment. It's why jails are so miserable (if you're not rich) and not fancy rehab centers. They are partially for punishment.
