Hornet, the car from Daytona USA. At first you'd think I'm crazy (and you're kinda right), but let me remind y'all that he was playable in Fighter's Megamix where he stood on two tires like a normal human being. Yes! I want that Hornet in Smash, not only because it'd be stupid, but it'd also represent the absolute insanity fighting game characters can be sometimes, and Daytona USA itself is a dang good arcade experience and of my personal favorites.

Pretty cool to learn that, I’m surprised how a lot of iconic moments and scenes happen by complete accident.

That reminds me, in my Sonic fighting game ideas I had Joker also do an all-out attack for his level 3 special and I had in mind instead of blood it would be so the opponent would lose rings like in the Sonic games instead.

Yeah, most of innovation comes from accidents, just like in nature.
I mean, hell, Smash is a great example for that kind of stuff since the crossover idea wasn't even the intention at first.

Yeah sometimes, but it's a bit more involved than that.

Say, in a normal JRPG you hit a guy. He hits you back.

In RH, you hit a guy he gets knocked into another guy, and if you hit that tile they both occupy, they both get hit. Also you can trade turns with anyone, including your own teammates from next turn and enemies.

Essentially you can stockpile like a dozen turns knocking enemies into each other.

Ah, I think I saw something on that game before, it was on the DS, right?

If you could interrupt attacks that much it seems pretty rush-down focused.

I wonder what other obscure characters could have interesting mechanics.

Who do you want for Smash DLC that no one really talks about but you're too afraid to be the first one to make a support thread

I made a Mega Man franchise thread. Since I personally would be pretty happy with multiple options, Mega Man X, Protoman, Mega Man EXE, Starforce Mega Man ect. I also figured Zero and Volnutt would be fairly popular choices too, so might as well put things in one thread and make it less cluttered.

Most other characters I'm reasonably interested in, Jin Kazama, Ryu Hayabusa Jill Valentine, Dante, Lara Croft, Fulgore, Scorpion, Sub-Zero, Crash, Elma and I think Dixie Kong all already have threads. If you like those guys too, visit those threads as well.

I'm glad conversation has been drummed up, whether it's for Smash or cool trivia. I was asked a few questions so I'll try to answer a few.

Firstly, despite my confidence in the remaining 3rd parties to be Japanese created, I really feel as if my silent most wanted is...Tracer. There's so much gameplay potential, Overwatch is similar to Smash for me in that it has become one of my favorite games and has been like life changing. I haven't played Quickplay or Ranked in awhile, and I know the meta is different...but I always liked the core concept of heroes that show diversity in identity, but more or less being similar in their ideals which is cool.

It would be super cool, but it'll never happen.

I want to play the Resident Evil franchise but I don't have any console that would play it except for my laptop and that doesn't work at all, I'm waiting for them to be dropped on the E-Shop to pick them up.

The games can be different from each other. If you would prefer a more "Actiony" approach, I'd start with 4. If you want Classic Resident Evil, I'd go either 1 or 2. 0 was good, but I preferred others over.

staindgrey would probably have good recommendations too.

Fire Emblem. I've always been interested in the perma death mechanic, as it means you'll grow to cherish your units that much more with those potential risks at hand.

If you haven't played Fire Emblem at all yet, I would absolutely recommend Awakening as the first game. It's easily accessible, isn't all that difficult and the characters are a good time.

If it were more available (As I had to drive 40 mins to get Radiant Dawn, and then had to spend a pretty penny for Path of Radiance off of eBay), I would recommend to start with the Tellius saga. Goodness, those games are real good. Ike is also the main lord, so that makes it even better.

OW was/still sort of is huge, nintendo have a good relationship with blizzard, there's interest from the devs of putting OW-related stuff (not necessarily OW itself, but the rumoured spinoff projects) on switch, and tracer herself is bright, cartoony and cheerful so she fits the smash mold perfectly.

Lazy, I'm being lazy all day I just woke up in fact I'm gonna go see Endgame on Monday which is exciting.

Mother 3 & SMRPG, Those games are absolutely fantastic.

I want Geno in Smash but Erdrick will get in but Joker is fun, I like him.

Both Revelations are on the Switch already, and from the ones dropping soon I recommend the first RE aka the REmake and RE4. They are different types of games with the first one being more Survival Horror and 4 being more action based.

The Revelations games are spinoff in name only. They play a lot like RE4-RE6 but are prequels/midquels to those games, so they get a subtitle instead of a number.

They aren't as high budget as the usual RE game and their stories are goofy even by RE standards, so I wouldn't recommend them as FIRST games for a new RE fan. But I do like them.

Revelations are not really spinoffs but rather sidegames, which are set in between mainline titles chronologically. The first revelations is set in between the 4th and 5th game for example.

Controlwise they are a bit more action based like 4. You could try them, as I believe they are not too expensive and they are both solid entries. Might be an issue if you're interested in the story as they follow established characters from the first titles.

Well on XB1 they're all $10 cheaper than the Switch, and you can play the Wii versions on your Wii U. XB1 also has RE5, one of my personal favorites of all time.

You can wait for the Switch versions of course, but realize that they're $30 for virtually no reason while the ones already available elsewhere started at $20.
