Very few movie sequels are necessary.Yeah of an unnecessary sequel that didn't need to be made and was already perfect as a trilogy it was.
Unnecesarry it may be but that desn't mean it's bad.Yeah of an unnecessary sequel that didn't need to be made and was already perfect as a trilogy it was.
Someone who finally agrees with me.You’re not wrong
Plus Toy Story 4's plot is just Toy Story's 1 & 2 with a dash of 3 rolled up into one with the whole getting lost/separation thing again.
Wow Pixar 10 years and this is the best you can come up with?
Star Wars Sequel Syndrome at its finest as The Force Awakens had shown us being literally a remake of A New Hope.
This here is why I'd rather have some things be left alone as they're already perfect as the way they are.
Well ****ing vs. access to your phone is basically the Sophie's choice for millennials.that is the boldest of assumptions
my sister teaches an after school class at an hs and the mfs aren't even allowed to bring their phones into the bathroom because kids **** in there
Dude oh my ****ing god I need to go to that schoolbecause kids **** in there
IT'S MY JOB, SHIHoly ****, girl, you can't just say that with a hard R. You go missing for so long only to come back and oppress us like this!?
I liked Force AwakensAlso let me ask you guys? You'd rather have a sequel that's basically a remake of an previous film as The Force Awakens was of A New Hope?
Kek.
It's too much to ask for him to have an open mind about this sort of thing.View attachment 211495
Look i'm passionate about animation too, it's my dream after all. But the film isn't out yet, how about we judge it after, k?
MichaelAlso let me ask you guys? You'd rather have a sequel that's basically a remake of an previous film as The Force Awakens was of A New Hope?

As long as it gets a Last Jedi follow up that shows it can take things differently. Also let me ask you guys? You'd rather have a sequel that's basically a remake of an previous film as The Force Awakens was of A New Hope?

No joke. The girl who asked me about her dress walked back to her table of friends. One of them asked, "What'd he say?"This is even funnier with your Reigen icon because it's 100% in his character to act like that
I was a stern believer that any girl I dated in high school would be dumped after I graduated, so I just didn't bother. Turns out my cynicism was mildly true. I only keep up with one person from high school. Surprisingly, my college romance life wasn't much different. Even when I was pledging for a frat and had the opportunity to dance with, consensually grope, and flirt with other sorority ladies, I was a stick in the mud. Ended up leaving the Frat on the last two weeks of pledging. You have squandered opportunities I would kill a man for lol
Oh no! You did the Scott Pilgrim on her Kim Pine ass!Once, when I was in 8th grade, my family was moving to a whole new place, and so I had to leave the school I was currently attending.
On my very last day there, at the very last second, some girl asked me if I wanted to date her. I was a dumb ****in' kid at the time, and the question threw me off guard, so I just said "yes" then immediately left.
Liberty, if you're still out there, happy 7-year anniversary.
I don't mind.Oh yeah @Bolderousness I sort of don't want to bet my entire account on Banjo so would it be okay if I had to do a list of things chosen by the thread instead?
Like Play a bad game, Change my profile picture for a month, Do something weird, Say something chosen by the thread, Etc. Kind of like what we have to do if we lose the Erdrick bet.
Liberty, if you're still out there, happy 7-year anniversary.
Well on the bright side, the active self-sabotage behind responding with "platonically" makes you my hero.Didn't stop people at my school. Hilariously, I was too stubborn to flirt back with any poor girl who was brave enough to try their luck with me. I'm not proud of it, but it is pretty damn funny.
"Hey Preston, what do you think of my dress?"
"It looks alright, I guess."
"Wanna go to the dance?"
"Platonically."
"I love you."
"*Continues walking to class*"
Force Awakens was actually really good, thoughAlso let me ask you guys? You'd rather have a sequel that's basically a remake of an previous film as The Force Awakens was of A New Hope?

to clarify, it's so nobody can record any of it going downWell ****ing vs. access to your phone is basically the Sophie's choice for millennials.
Have you ever looked up TV Tropes? You'll quickly find that it's very difficult to find something that has never been done before. If said tropes weren't overused as they are in these films I wouldn't have such a problem with them. God forbid Pixar/Disney can't do anything new or different for once.
Quote me next time you're gonna respond to my posts, coward. If said tropes weren't overused as they are in these films I wouldn't have such a problem with them. God forbid Pixar/Disney can't do anything new or different for once.
Our slow dance was amazing. We literally did not make eye contact once.Well on the bright side, the active self-sabotage behind responding with "platonically" makes you my hero.
To me it wasn't because it made RotJ's ending all pointless.Force Awakens was really good, though
people like to jump on the "tropes bad" trainEvery film that exists uses tropes, it's the execution that matters.
How to train your Dragon is filled to the brim with tropes (geeky outcast, hiding a magic pet, parent that doesn't get it) but it was executed so well it's honestly one of the best movies i've ever watched.
wait so are they just fine with the kids ****ing in there, did that just not need to be addressed at all?to clarify, it's so nobody can record any of it going down
because if somebody's recording it then it's child pornography and there would be hell to pay
iirc the school already had an issue with some kid posting some **** like that to their snap and that's why the rule was implemented
I gotchu. Even in the dark days of "primitive" camera phones (ie, when I was in hs), there were a lot of pics going round that were, for all intents and purposes, illegal.to clarify, it's so nobody can record any of it going down

Whether intentional or not, tropes are inevitable.people like to jump on the "tropes bad" train
like ***** there's a reason these storytelling devices became tropes in the first place
they're easy to use and implement and work damn well if done right
bro i got no cluewait so are they just fine with the kids ****ing in there, did that just not need to be addressed at all?
You can trash all the movies you want. Those overused tropes and Disney/Pixar not trying to do anything new or different for once is why I've stopped watching their animated films. I've since moved onto Laika.
Missing Link as far as I recall didn't have any overused tropes and even had a villain from the get-go like the good ol' classic villains back in the 90s.
Take notes Disney/Pixar!
That’s kinda sad.No joke. The girl who asked me about her dress walked back to her table of friends. One of them asked, "What'd he say?"
My indifferent comment was echoed to the table by the dress girl and then her friend said, "I think that's the best we're getting out of him."
Every trope's overused, mate. There is not a single trope out there that hasn't been used a billion times over. Those overused tropes and Disney/Pixar not trying to do anything new or different for once is why I've stopped watching their animated films. I've since moved onto Laika.
