Okay so basically Brelooming joined the site and we all liked them then we stumbled upon a PETA discussion wherein they got mad and cussed/yelled at the other users, Later he quit the site for a month.

I hate the fact that i've recently fell in love with Banjo Kazooie music, because now i'm gonna be disappointed if they're not in. Before I wouldn't care, but now i've got a Grant Kirkhope shaped personal stake in this.

Eh I never liked Time Travel as a plot point because of how confusing and paradoxical it gets, but I guess it beats having to use outrealm nonsense to explain it.

If we can get the return of live conferences from Nintendo, then God, will the reveals be THAT more impactful. They did it in 2017, there's no reason not to, really.

Live conferences are pretty much hit or miss, Nintendo ones are no exception, honestly I like the directs more. I expect the directs to be less frequent, but I highly doubt they will go away.

In other news, Cuphead came out on the Switch, and there's this one dude in one of my Discord servers who's losing his goddamn mind because he can't beat the vegetable boss.

Look, as likely as anyone can be, things can change very quickly. VGAs last year was a perfect example of that. And if people waited four months for Joker, people can wait two months for the double-reveal @ E3.

That's what we're telling him, but he's one of those guys who insists that the problem is that the devs just made the game too hard.

I think we should use words like "impossible" for only extreme occasions, like Shrek or whatever. I think a Mortal Combat character is very unlikely but they're still major game icons with a couple things going for them so we can't rule out the possibility entirely, even if they arguably have more going against them.

I agree and I try to keep an open mind on it, though there's things I do think are unlikely, like Scropion and Sub-Zero and Fulgore, as much as I like them. Hell my number 1 want is to get a second character from my favorite platformer series with Mega Man.

But people put a lot of stock in their views, and sometimes you gotta take a step back and acknowledge you can be wrong. We all thought we couldn't get 2 Capcom characters, we thought Ridley and K.Rool would never happen. Nor did we think a third party series could get more than 1 character, yet here we are with 2 Shotos and 2 Belmonts.

Nothing's a lock nor is anything impossible. Also, gotta spell Kombat with a K fam.

Only reason I don't like the idea of Steve is because I find him so aesthetically unpleasant. Minecraft is fine, Mojang is fine, Steve's fans are fine, but he's just not a nice character to look at. Even if they completely cleaned him up and everything I feel like his blocks appearance would still hold up and I just don't really want that.

Master Chief, Jago, Fulgore, Rash, Conker, Joanna Dark, JetPac Guy, Marcus Fenix, I'll take 'em. Just... Steve isn't the best thing to look at. If he did get in I'd be fine with it but PREFERABLY for me, I would rather him not.

Just personal preference though. I'm sure he'd be a great character in the long run.

Gonna be honest, here. Smash Ultimate's OST is no doubt good, but has some problems. Now. If Grant Kirkhope was a part of the OST? Immediately bumps up the OST by a point. Kirkhope is essentially the Western equivalent to Koji Kondo.

Mario + Rabbids' OST shouldn't have been THAT good, but Kirkhope really did that. If there's a Banjo remix from him, when the moment comes, the pants are gonna walk off, man.

See that's the thing. In my prime "Minecraft fan" phase, I probably put more time into Minecraft than most of this board combined.
But Steve's aesthetic only looks appealing and charming in an environment where everything around him shares his same art-style.

He could work, but I'm not sure if I would enjoy looking at him.
