Here's the thing, a lot of people in here are expecting Banjo over Steve as of now, because some Microsoft employees claimed that Steve is not in.

Right, but people are still expecting Steve, and others expecting Banjo doesn't detract from that. And if Steve's been shot down by Microsoft, then that's no skin off my back because I don't want that character.

What it does detract from is people forgetting the superior choice that is Fulgore.

Suddenly the Super Shotgun and BFG don't even look that absurd to be in Smash.


If violence is your issue with Doomguy, then you need to take it up with the "RIP AND TEAR" aspect, which can easily be toned down.

And if your issue with Scorpion is violence then I'd like to point you to Injustice.

There's arguments against the both of them sure, but they either boil down to "too violent" or "western made". Which, by the looks of it, Western made is about to be broken by none other than the big M themselves.

Y'know, I sorta gave it a bit more thought. Nintendo just straight up shadowdropping Joker and the Ver 3.0.0. update out of nowhere with the video and all is starting to make me think that the way of Directs will be shifted a bit slightly.

We've been seeing Nintendo announce stuff more and more lately that you'd think would be a part of a Direct, but nope, is now out in the open. With a new NOA president, I don't have too much to ask for from Doug, and maybe I'm starting to get a bit sick and tired of Directs, but...

If we can get the return of live conferences from Nintendo, then God, will the reveals be THAT more impactful. They did it in 2017, there's no reason not to, really.

Or they could just... release a tonne of Mii Fighter costumes from multiple companies. They did it in Smash 4. What’s to stop it from happening again.

I still think we’re getting a Namco and Square Character, but I would hold your breath on a FOURTH Capcom Rep.

I hate how Smash speculation only functions in extremes. "This character is a lock", "this character is impossible", "this character is never going to happen". People are far too confident in themselves.

Something can hurt a character's chances without completely destroying them. Something can make a character more likely without guaranteeing them.

I think we should use words like "impossible" for only extreme occasions, like Shrek or whatever. I think a Mortal Combat character is very unlikely but they're still major game icons with a couple things going for them so we can't rule out the possibility entirely, even if they arguably have more going against them.

Fair enough. After all now that I think about it after a week things would probably go back to normal and begin waiting for the next.

Plus I got Endgame, Mortal Kombat 11, Days Gone and Godzilla 2 to help me be patient too so there's that as well.
