You can clearly see the progression of themes from litten's cool reserved nature to Incineroar's wild and gutsy persona. It clearly represents hiding your true self and I think that's a great theme. And sure, Decidueye would have been nice in Smash but look me dead in the eyes and say Incienroar wasn't represented greatly in Smash. hell, i'd argue he looks better here than in normal pokemon. The wrestling theme is cool, the heel identity is funny, and in general he's a rad Pokemon so how about you

To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand Incineroar. His hitboxes are extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of theoretical WWE most of the attacks will go under a typical fighter's belt. There's also Incineroar's boastful outlook, which is deftly woven into his characterisation - his personal philosophy draws heavily from John Cena literature, for instance. The mains understand this stuff; they have the intellectual capacity to truly appreciate the depths of these hitboxes, to realize that they're not just strong- they say something deep about LIFE. As a consequence people who sympathyse with Decidueye truly ARE idiots- of course they wouldn't appreciate, for instance, the humour in Incineroar's existencial catchphrase "INCINEROAR!," which itself is a cryptic reference to Masuda's Japenese epic Pokemon Sun and Moon. I'm smirking right now just imagining one of those leafy simpletons scratching their feathers in confusion as Sakurai's genius unfolds itself on theirSwitches screens. What fools... how I pity them.
