The problem is, no one actually goes and sees them. People are just more comfortable with stuff they're familiar with. Which is why sequels, remakes, and reboots make a ton of money.

Only 4 of the of the 50 highest grossing films unadjusted for inflation are not from a preexisting idea, property, or franchise. Finding Nemo, Lion King, Zootopia, and Avatar. That's it.

If we want more original ideas in Hollywood, we need to support the original ideas by actually seeing them

That's one of the things that bothers me about the MCU. Because there are no secret identities, everyone just goes by their real name, with Spider-Man being an exception but ONLY when he's with the Avengers. As unrealistic as it is, I like it when they call each other "Iron Man" and "Black Widow" and "Hawkeye" and "Ant-Man" instead of juts Tony, Natasha, Clint, and Scott. It's so dull to me.

It’s the courtroom scene from mario sunshine. Mario isn’t on trial though. Instead it’s yoshi for crimes against the island. Mario is a witness(except it’s shadow Mario) .

Yoshi is in trouble when we here:

“OBJECTION!”

“Pheonix Wright takes the case!”

He takes a seat at the defendants bench.

Maya is there too commenting how this isn’t the first time he’s defending an animal.

This time however it’s a dinosaur, thought to be extinct!

The camera pans and we see:

Edgeworth: “ my, my Wright, late to court. What a shame we were just about to wrap this up early. There’s no way your client isn’t guilty. He’s green with envy over this lovely island!”

Pheonix: Then I guess I’ll have to prove otherwise!

*cue gameplay.

Each move and choice for the rest of the trailer reflects the current case with the trailer ending with the case being solved.

Yoshi is declared not guilty and swallows some papers that no one was able to see during the trial and shadow Mario goes to jail.
