On the topic of name changes, I've thought of getting rid of the "Smashing" part, just because it sounds kinda corny

So If I changed my name, what should it be?

I want @Ramen, but an inactive user already has it. So my go-to options are either Mister Ramen, Dr. Ramen, Ramen the Lawman, or Ramen Noobles,

Or maybe y'all have better ideas for me?

I went into this post wanting to say "no don't change your name I like it".

But then I got to "Ramen Noobles" and d'awwed a bit.

Here's a list of characters I play regularly
Big boy with surprisingly decent tools, WoL had him decimate pretty much everything
Loyalty left over from 4 and the improved super armour and DORIYAH are fun as hell
Loyalist since Brawl and he's a goddamn top tier to the point even I can do Nair to Up Air
****ing stupid ass character with ridiculous Revenge bull****, Darkest Lariat cheese and my friends constantly forgetting what command grabs do to shields
Ridley is super fun and if I ever perform well with him, I have a good time, Need to use more tilts though
My 'brain off' character
Loyalty from 4, improved arts are silly and the range is nice
Able to make people ragequit whem I use him
Dummy thicc explosives and C4 ****ery
he pres........ Bee buttn. Also loyalty from Brawl

I play Ridley and K. Rool because they were two of my most wanted for this game. Was insanely happy when they got confirmed. They also click well with me. I don't look to tier lists when it comes to choosing a character tbh, though if a character is just plain torture to play because of something seriously holding them back *cough* Mewtwo *cough*, I kinda drop them.

I get where you're coming from: you gotta feel like you have to have that ultimate 'gamer name', especially if you wanted to get involved in any competitive scenes. But it can be hard to find one that both sums you up and doesn't sound too tryhard. The name I ended up going for (which I don't use here) ended up being a kind of anti-gamer name of sorts ... kind of

My go-to characters were ,,,, , and of course,

I’d say keep for sure. Look into as well.

and seem pretty similar to Smash 4, so I’d keep them as well. is also an option, but her kit is worse than Villager’s overall so I’d recommend Villager more.

is in a weird place this time around. He’s still good, but he’s not as dominant w/ all of the overall Ultimate gameplay changes (imo), still a solid choice.

is... a hard one, she’s nowhere near as dominant as in Smash 4. If you’re pretty good w/ managing Luma, she still may be someone to consider keeping.

For , staindgrey pretty much explains my view on her as well, so just refer back to that post.

Now for a couple more recommendations:

might be a good fit for you, especially if you’re used to controlling 2 characters like .

could also work for you if you’re great at knowing when to play each Pokémon

might also be good for you if you’re good with managing projectiles like . Also has a great recovery.

A bit of a weird one, but I’d also look into a bit. Just be ready for a bit of lag on the aerials.

For a sword character, is pretty unorthodox, so it’s hard to list another character close to her. I guess if you want a general, balanced swordfighter, look into .

And now for one biased recommendation:
has decent mobility deals a lot of damage and has some great punish tools, if you use them correctly. He’s a bit high risk, high reward though, so he may/may not fit your style.

I primarily use because he was my most wanted character since pre-Smash 4 days, and because he’s pretty fun to use on a good day

I also like though I’m not great at them...

And I would love to use but her playstyle doesn’t jive with me, and but my brain is too small and my attention span too short to figure out how desyncs work
