Y’all, speaking of changing names, if I were to change my name, would Penguin be fine, or would it be cribbing Opposum’s style and too basic? Or should I stay with Just a Penguin, despite it being a grand total of 14 characters?

Because when we were standing in a long *** line outside Best Buy to get two two minute matches, we were all talking about who we wanted to play as, and when we started talking about the characters we didn't care for, my brother said something along the lines of, "Yeah, I don't care about Pit or... or... **** whatever her name is, Placenta," fully ignorant of what "placenta" actually meant. And we all died laughing and continued to call her that in our group of friends all the time.

Oh and speaking of Joker and what not, do people that have played the arena games, think he will have similarities to that game or even blazblue tag battle (of course editing the move set to match smash bros style) or just something completely new and unique to smash with reminiscent of persona series? I have faith in Sakurai’s ability to create amazing and unique move sets (bless his heart for making my favorite character of all time Rosalina have an awesome and fitting one)

Oh, we were talking about which characters we play?

- - I've mained Marth in every game since Melee, and no other character in the entire series clicks with me in the same way he does (in Melee and Brawl, there genuinely isn't a single character other than Marth that I find fun to play). His whole play style just works for me. Lucina is basically the same thing, but I use her more now because I play mostly online where tippers are harder to land, and the engine changes in Ultimate favour Lucina more anyway. She's also my favourite character from Awakening, at least for as long as I can keep her "fan"base out of mind. And whenever I bring her out, it seems to strike fear into my opponents' hearts, which is always fun. :p

- - Tried to pick her up in Smash 4 but she sucked. Tried her again in this game and she's way more fun now. Sniping people with up-B and side-B is one of the most fun things in the whole game for me. :p

- - Another one I tried to play in Smash 4 but which only really started working for me in Ultimate, even if technically they're worse now. Plus they're one of the unique FE characters so I kinda have to play them. :p The zap when you land a Levin Sword hit is super satisfying.

Pretty much everyone else for me is just kind of indifferent, though I've tried out stuff like and they're kinda fun too. So I might put more work into them eventually.

I mean... Joker isn't in Persona 4 Arena or Blazblue Cross Tag Battle...

So either way this is the 1st time we're seeing Joker in a fighting game.

That being said, I'm not sure if they'd take an Arena-like approach with his moveset. He might have some elements that are present in the Arena games, but I think he'd be mostly unique in terms of playstyle.

If you count the biggest fanbases rising up again and dominating the speculation, then yep.

Seriously though, the most things that Erdrick affects is pretty much the SE speculation (which is dominated normally by Geno fans and Sora fans to a minor degree) and thats only if you limit to think about only having a single SE rep. Dunno why a single character downs many other fanbases.
