He is an echo, so it was easier to make Richter than a unique character in Alucard.

That being said, I would’ve preferred Alucard over Richter myself.
Again, I get that but the mere fact that Alucard was even considered to be a fighter at one point in development is kind of a bummer, you know. At least Richter is good eye candy though.

My two biggest hopes are... regarding balance, that is...
- Luigi doesn't lose his 0-death
- Bowser Bomb is made usable (a bit faster)
One way or another I think Luigi's going to lose it, not because Luigi's broken but because Nintendo probably, understandably, doesn't consider 0-deaths healthy for the game. No one likes wobbling except Ice Climbers mains.

Honestly, both Alucard and Soma are amazing characters with solid moveset potential, I’m with fine with either of them getting in.

Getting Alucard likely would have meant not getting any Belmont, which while worth in many peoples' eyes (myself included) would be understandably weird.

I like that they added Richter specifically because it allowed Simon to also have a more interesting moveset using a mix of Richter's moves.

I’m about to pick up Kingdom Hearts 3. Hopefully it’ll be a good game!

I find it funny how the characters that aren't Belmonts are more interesting than them. Soma, Alucard, Shanoa... I think its because they aren't limited to the Vampire Killer and some tools.
Soma has the souls of the enemies, which allow him to use abilities of enemies he kills. Its Kirby but more versatile.
Alucard has his spells, transformations and equipment.
Shanoa has the glyphs, which are both spells and equipment. She can also dual wield which is already a win in my book.

Let's play a game.

2.0.0 is coming out tonight. With that it is very likely we'll get some balance changes.

You have two choices. You can buff 3 characters however you like, or nerf 5 characters however you like.

I choose to buff Little Mac so that haymaker is as good in the air as it is on the ground, same with his uppercut. Buff K. Rool to have his armor hitboxes enlarged vertically so they feel more reliable and consistent, as well as have his belly counter hitbox enlarged vertically to the same effect. Buff Kirby's air and ground speed.
I'm gonna do both.

BUFFS:

:ultsamus::ultdarksamus:
+hitboxes link properly on fair/uair/up smash
+Super Missiles have greater knockback growth for KOing
+down tilt endlag reduced to what it was in Smash 4
+jab now links together properly
+dash attack has less knockback at low %, allowing for comboing again
+Bombs now weakly meteor aerial opponents like Falco Phantasm does

:ultridley:
+Wing Blitz can now travel in eight directions akin to Fire Fox
+Skewer deals 2/3 shield damage
+Ridley now has three midair jumps rather than two
+dair has less landing lag and ends earlier (think like Sonic's)
+weight increased by three units

:ultsonic:
+Spin Dash & Spin Charge have greater priority, able to beat weak projectiles
+dash grab has less endlag
+up tilt has a larger horizontal hitbox
+up air links together slightly better
+Homing Attack has less landing lag

NERFS:

:ultinkling:
-Ink damage multiplier reduced
-Ink takes longer to refill
-Ink can now be shaken off by opponents if they do attacks (think Olimar's Pikmin)
-Roller has more endlag and its bury time is no longer the best in the game
-Dash and rolling animations altered to prevent mindgames
-up special goes less distance and has more landing lag
-side special's Bomb can now be caught and thrown back or reflected properly
-up throw has increased knockback and less damage, harder to combo off of

:ultness:
-PK Fire has more endlag and shorter duration
-Fair hitboxes worsened, can no longer string at high %
-yo-yo charging hitbox is weaker
-down tilt has more endlag
-down throw has more endlag
-pummel is slower

:ultpalutena:
-Explosive Flame has more startup
-Explosive Flame's hitboxes appear later
-Explosive Flame can no longer reliably target aerial opponents
-neutral air does less damage

I'm savage but whatever, not like I'll get any of this probably.

What about the Plasm Wraith tho? D:
I support this idea though, I'm really glad PP awakened the creativity of so many that shackled themselves to preconceptions regarding Smash fighters
Why not both fam?

Probably most protagonists in Smash have more interesting characters in their franchises.

Well that's the conundrum with mascot archetypes. They represent the game franchise and its main mechanics, but the remixes of those characters and reimaginings often turn out to be far more well liked within the community's bubble for how different they are.

MGS: Big Boss,
Megaman: Zero/X,
Street Fighter: Alex,
Sonic: Blaze/Shadow
Castlevania: Alucard

So on and so forth.

I’m about to pick up Kingdom Hearts 3. Hopefully it’ll be a goo game!
According to Gamexplain, Kingdom Hearts is "Mind Blowing".

So, yeah, it'll be a good game, by the sounds of it.

Not sure how much goo there'll be, though.

Sorry, i was out for a while.
What did miss (besides the 2.0.0 update rumor)????
We were talkin' about who would make a better second Castlevania rep: Alucard, Soma, or Shanoa.

I personally hope that nerfs are kept to an absolute minimum and the focus is on buffing the characters lagging behind.
