Nah, it’s Pokemon. They can add as much as they want since they’re almost reaching a thousand in the
PokeDex.

My only issue with Pokemon in Smash is that they’re not really that interesting to most Smash fans, because most of them are such obvious inclusions and well as promotions (coughgreninjaincineroarcough) that nobody really gets hyped for just another mere pocket monster except.

Plus, Incineroar was a very bad last reveal.

I love Incineroar, he's the best. But if I were in charge i'd put him in the August direct and save K Rool for the November direct. It'd tie things up nicely.

Y'know, an elephant fighter could work actually. Assuming they made a huge grass mammoth starter like I said before, it could work in Smash despite being quadrupedal.

Grabs? Use it's Trunk. Items? Once again, the trunk. It could be used for jabs and smash attacks too. Use Pokemon moves to fill the rest of the moveset.

Its almost like the statement was arbitrary and Game Freak put their foot down. But well all know that never happens ever.

#Anime/Movies don't matter EVER

Not being sassy, but it does make you think, little bird boy was JUST as popular in the anime and unlike the owl had a large presence in the anime and the movies if I'm not mistaken.

Whoops, sorry for the misgender!

It's best to put him on Zeke just for the Elma fight because his evasion art is aoe and 5 recharge which both hard counter the bajillion attacks and clones Elma throws at you. He's better on Morag for almost every other situation, however

The fanbase saw it as 2 new characters alongside the items and stages. Then again the fanbase called Star Fox bias because Wolf was made in 5 minutes in Brawl and then accused Sakurai of hating Star Fox for cutting Wolf the next game

-I want guys like Banjo, Waluigi, and Shadow for personal desires.

-I want Geno and Isaac so their fans be happy and satisfied, (although I’m actually showing interest in GS now)

-I DON’T want Steve and I personally think he’s a bad pick for the roster but it’s not like I tell his fans to stop supporting him or something like that, I just rather have someone else.

I think it makes sense purely from the standpoint of “leaks.” If they saved Ridley or K. Rool for last, it’s likely many of us would’ve known about them sooner, and they wouldn’t have been as surprising.

Mr PeanutButter is like 80% man, 20% dog. Weird, but harmless.

No idea if this qualifies as an unpopular opinion, but after Greninja and Incineroar...

Another Gen 1 Pokemon > Starter Pokemon

Don't get me wrong, I want representation for new gens, but I hate how predictable this is becoming. We get dozens of new Pokemon with each Gen, yet we usually limit ourselves to the starters over the course of speculation and pass up plenty of interesting unorthodox choices because of this pattern that's been set. It's just not as fun and suprising to me as it could be, as we have literally hundreds of options to choose from aside from the "safe" starters. I'm already dreading the inevitable "Gen 8 grass starter for Smash 6!!".

To add to this:

Can we have a gen whose starters aren't fire/grass/water? There are plenty of other options for a trifecta that illustrates strengths and weaknesses to new players. Why not fighting/dark/psychic? Or water/electric/ground? Or make something work with fairies and dragons so new players can figure out what the **** those are all about.

Or it's a case of the last revealed characters being scapegoats for people's favourites not getting in since Brawl. Perhaps Melee but I have no data on that. People hated ROB and Wolf, people hated Dark Pit, people hated Bayonetta and people hated Incineroar. Guess what those characters all have in common

Oh boy, I really don’t want to spark a Steve debate so I’ll keep it brief and civil.

-His design isn’t that appealing and is pretty boring being stale and low textured, it doesn’t really strike to me as someone exciting as people would want to pick in a roster.

-Minecraft content in Smash would be great with an AT and stage but I’m really iffy about a fighter.

-His limited animations would be kind of a tough task since 3rd Parties would need to be as faithful to their origins as possible, Sakurai would have to give him completely fluid animations.
