Y'all so since I'm bored I wanna tell you guys the weirdest thing that happened at the con I went to

So me and my sis are just hanging out in a corner where there are benches, waiting for an event to open their line. We're just chilling and talking, when this girl cosplaying as Uraraka strolls up, all smiley and happily, while this guy with a huge fancy camera (like news reporter style) follows her. These people obviously know each other, as they're talking and such.

She then sits on the big fancy beanbag across from us, takes off her shoes, and the guy kneels down and starts recording her ****ing toes for like 10 minutes straight! Just thid girl wigglong her toes into the camera and this guy has the such a stone-cold expression while recording that it's actually scary.

Then while me and my sister are just sitting in abject shock (not staring as that would be awkward as hell but we knew what was happening) some guy dressed as Deku (presumably her friend) also strolls up and starts talking to her. And then the guy just slooooowly moves the camera up to her boobs, lingers there for a little bit, and then moves up to her mouth and asks her to open it so he can record her teeth. Her ****ing teeth.

At that point we left because obviously it would be awkward to stay there as these people record softcore fetish porn, but damn it was awkward as hell the moment he started recording her feet.
Oh no, why did I need to see and read this? This is cursed.

Damn, not sure if I wanna attend my local Comic-Con this year after reading that.

Played that last night. Forgot how average it is. Got bored. Fired up my Wii to play TMNT Smash Up. It still stands as the best Smash clone around.

My favorite was the exchange on the plane.

"Just another war started by men swinging their swords around."
"Their...swords...?"
"The ones between their legs."
"Oh," *gestures to actual sword* "This is just for decoration; I don't actually use it."
"Tell me about it..."
You know what's funny, those two were supposed to have more scenes in the episode but we had to cut them because it was getting too long. Yet that one scene led to so many "Noin is the best" comments in an episode that wasn't in any way about her.

We lucked out on casting our Zechs and Noin. They have fantastic chemistry.

Thank you. I'm the one who does all the audio so you just made me feel really good. :)

I'm glad you're liking it! (And the unfamiliar with that model line is my favorite line we've made and sadly I was not the one who wrote it.)
It's really good audio, from building scenes completely with it(like Heero crashing the ambulance and then stealing another one) to small things that didn't even need to be there such as the audio editing for the radio/video calls or the muffled voices for characters standing behind glass windows.

And it's consistently funny, I'll give you that. Way too many quotable stuff.
"We gotta remember our soldiers what they're fighting for!"

Think of words that are more vowel than consonant. There are surprisingly few of them.
Evacuate Evacuation.

Haha, what a story Mark.
Viola and rogue also work too.
Also Segue, Adieu, Trainee, and of course:

You want to know the best way to write a female character?

Employ some women. If you want to write a diverse cast of characters you need diversity in your team to reflect that.
Though would anyone help for free?

Also she's a garbage worker, like she drives the truck.

See this is why I @'d you. And holy **** did you deliver.

I suddenly want to go play MP3 again.
A lot of what I put there was copy/pasted and revised from the script for the Dark Samus video I wrote/recorded/edited/rendered a couple months ago that I scrapped because it was way too long and not as high quality as it could've been because I rushed it so it would be done before Ultimate came out. So yeah, this stuff was still pretty recent in my head.

I do have plans to revisit it and only focus on the stuff like what I outlined there, since that'd be a more focused, more interesting, and less pathetic idea, because of just how unknown a lot of that information is because it's hidden behind audio logs in a game that much of the Metroid fanbase doesn't even really like or talk about. With Dark Samus firmly in Smash now, there's even more people who look at the character and don't understand her.

...I'm not crazy, it's everyone else who's crazy.

I forgot to share this. Pretty nice!

Did you post your Twilight Princess review?
Nah, but I'll probably do that tonight if people still want it. Yesterday I got a little too caught up in Metroidvania.

Played a good chunk through my dozenth or so playthrough of Castlevania: Symphony of the Night and got the Crissaegrim for the first time, since I never knew it existed before Alucard's AT in Ultimate. Right after I got it, I stopped and realized "I've played SotN more times than I've played any single 2D Metroid." I'm a huge Metroid fan, yet the only 2D Metroid games I've beaten are Samus Returns back in 2017 and the original NES Metroid back in 2008 or so (with a guide and possibly Game Genie codes involved). I've made plunges into Super Metroid and Metroid Fusion, but didn't finish either for one reason or another. So could I really call myself a huge Metroid fan?

So I started Zero Mission for the first time last night, totally blind, and somehow managed to get all the way to Mother Brain. There were two or three moments where I was getting tired and almost reached for a guide, but then managed to figure out what to do. I died once to Kraid and twice to Ridley, but otherwise I didn't die once. I was sure I was going to die to Mother Brain when my first crack at her wasn't going too well and I was on my last energy tank, but I was shocked when this happened:

I stopped and saved at the Zero Suit part of the game, which I'll have to continue today or tomorrow. Not quite looking forward to that, though, but at least I got through the first half of the game with no guide, cheats, or save states, so I'm proud of that at least. Makes me feel more confident about taking another shot at Super Metroid.

Make her stupid

Not like, stupid stupid, but like, let her make mistakes and ****. Let her lash out at stuff every now and then. Basically, let her to things that aren't always right all the time a la Black Widow or like other boring characters like her.

A fresh example of a good female character is Rose Lalonde from Homestuck. She's suuuuch a good character honestly

If you're planning on making money from this, then you'll eventually need to pay them like any other employer. But artists always have to start somewhere and oftentimes they'll work for experience and for the love of creating something. What you need to do as director is make reasonable expectations without overworking them and keep them involved with positive feedback and understanding their schedule.

Our team has about 13 people and not a single one of us has made a dime off of it yet. We just really like making the show.

Honestly, audio is surprisingly my favorite part of this. It's not as stressful as the visual edits, and I really like nitpicking every tiny detail until it sounds just right. I came into this completely amateur so I know there are things I can do better, but I try to make up for it with just, like... obsessive attention to detail.

When you'll get to episode six, you'll find my favorite part I've made so far. You'll know it when you see it. Or, hear it, rather.

First, locally. My brother was in the theater dept. in high school and his community college and we first found talent through his friends there. We were very lucky to have already made friends with acting abilities.

Then, Casting Call Club. It's a great place to find talent. Then Twitter, because that's like the best place to find people posting their work with an easy way to communicate.

Really just always keep your eyes open.

So I’m not the only one who uses CCC?

Yeah, it’s great though. Only problem is there’s some crappy projects, but it’s defidently a good site.

At that point we left because obviously it would be awkward to stay there as these people record softcore fetish porn, but damn it was awkward as hell the moment he started recording her feet.
I'm gonna assume the "****"s are "lick"s. Disgusting.

I have a story too, but I'm afraid it may offend some trans people. Not sure though.

Thanks for the offer! Though I'm not sure if I'll need assistance. I've been producing videos of wildy varying quality and popularity for over 11 years, including one Skyrim video that has almost a million views. Not sure how that one blew up so much--my next most popular video only has 86k views.

My main issue is just that I need some better audio equipment. I'll probably invest in that sometime soon if I can.

It's a great site, but since it's free to post a project there are a lot of people who get ahead of themselves and put up projects they're never really going to finish.

It's an unfortunate part of open platforms. Our show gets comments saying "I hope this continues!" like we're in danger of quitting at any time. That's just how the internet is.
