See this is why I @'d you. And holy **** did you deliver.
I suddenly want to go play MP3 again.
A lot of what I put there was copy/pasted and revised from the script for the Dark Samus video I wrote/recorded/edited/rendered a couple months ago that I scrapped because it was way too long and not as high quality as it could've been because I rushed it so it would be done before Ultimate came out. So yeah, this stuff was still pretty recent in my head.
I do have plans to revisit it and only focus on the stuff like what I outlined there, since that'd be a more focused, more interesting, and less pathetic idea, because of just how unknown a lot of that information is because it's hidden behind audio logs in a game that much of the Metroid fanbase doesn't even really like or talk about. With Dark Samus firmly in Smash now, there's even more people who look at the character and don't understand her.
...I'm not crazy,
it's everyone else who's crazy.
I forgot to share this. Pretty nice!

Did you post your Twilight Princess review?
Nah, but I'll probably do that tonight if people still want it. Yesterday I got a little too caught up in Metroidvania.
Played a good chunk through my dozenth or so playthrough of Castlevania: Symphony of the Night and got the Crissaegrim for the first time, since I never knew it existed before Alucard's AT in Ultimate. Right after I got it, I stopped and realized "I've played SotN more times than I've played any single 2D Metroid." I'm a huge Metroid fan, yet the only 2D Metroid games I've beaten are Samus Returns back in 2017 and the original NES Metroid back in 2008 or so (with a guide and possibly Game Genie codes involved). I've made plunges into Super Metroid and Metroid Fusion, but didn't finish either for one reason or another. So could I really call myself a huge Metroid fan?
So I started Zero Mission for the first time last night, totally blind, and somehow managed to get all the way to Mother Brain. There were two or three moments where I was getting tired and almost reached for a guide, but then managed to figure out what to do. I died once to Kraid and twice to Ridley, but otherwise I didn't die once. I was sure I was going to die to Mother Brain when my first crack at her wasn't going too well and I was on my last energy tank, but I was shocked when this happened:
I stopped and saved at the Zero Suit part of the game, which I'll have to continue today or tomorrow. Not quite looking forward to that, though, but at least I got through the first half of the game with no guide, cheats, or save states, so I'm proud of that at least. Makes me feel more confident about taking another shot at Super Metroid.
