I'll be one of those Ammy mainers. I am sad how she dies in like 2 or 3 combos though. lol
I was thinking about one of my teams being Spidey/Ammy/X-23 team. Now I'm reconsidering that considering that they'll probably have no life.

i cant see ammy being that overused. Every stream i watch seems to have dante and doom picked 9 times outta 10. And not tryin to be rude, but if ya cant spell amateratsu just write ammy. Its her nickname like wolvie and magz.

a stream is only showing you one station. i was there, there is like 12 set ups, or more. and i saw with my own eyes a ton of ammy users. i had a 10 game win streak, and out of those games, i played against dante twice.....it was mostly ammy, doom, trish, and ryu(surprisingly). maybe everyone else got tired of dante too and wanted to try other characters like Dormammu, god that dude is annoying to fight. I hate him. but more than likely when the game actually comes out, and everyone starts picking thier mains, I agree Dante will probably be the most used. he has good rush down, and good keep away, and a captain corridor assist which is better than captain corridor IMO.

Every time I see Ammy's Ice Beads (not the assist version), I immediately think of Cable's s.fierce, except with mad chipping this time. She definitely has some very effective normals, a small hitbox and her supers are excellent, but the low stamina WILL be a liability.

As for Dante's AAA, I still believe Captain Corridor is better than it due to CC's invinc frames, god-like priority, power, and reach. Obviously that can change, but Captain Corridor was right on the precipice as a broken assist.

I'm really planning on using Doom for sure, but more as a point character rather than just being character #3 and spamming the rocks. Doom's Plasma Beam is broke as ****. Probably the best projectile in the game so far.

EDIT: @ Gates: Yeah, I remember saying that Dante's AAA was closer to Blackheart's than CapCom's.

Yeah, I've heard that Dante's AA assist is more like Blackheart's than CapCom's. Obviously Dormammu's AA assist is exactly like Blackhearts, but you know what I mean.

imo dorm dante doom is going to be gdlk. I cant wait to see wesker. My current team is morrigan wesker magz/spencer/ammy/im/haggar/wolvie/cap/some new char hopefully strider. That last spot is a toss up.

I am still very dissapointed the ATL build didnt have spider man in it, all day while waiting in line for 7 hours all i could think about was playing spiderman when i walked in the building.....

I was thinking of maining ryu, but after playing him, no. his mobility is pretty bad, and his range on his normals are **** except for c.mk of course. i was glad to see his jaden kick back, but i never got a chance to see if it comboed, too busy baiting people's doom assist all day and punishing with super hadouken.

A 9.5 for Deadpool being funny and Trish is one of the worst characters so far.

Morrigan's not a vampire.

When he meant Vampire character, he meant a character of the Vampire series (The Night Warriors, Hunter, Savior, etc).

Of course, of course. We can't all be good enough with lower tier characters to use them effectively in fights. I mean, not all of us have like...Juicebox's Sakura or R-1's Noel just to name some examples from a bit back.

well, its not like i said you should play a low tier, i just said not everybody good plays a top tier. I was basically implying that theres 4 other tiers to choose from. And when you hop on to the top tier train you overcentralize the character and that causes that characters metagame to progress faster and that make them even MORE top tier which makes the game seem more unbalanced than the game really is i.e sheik in melee.

I think it might have to do with the fact that we had a god tier in MvC2 with four characters that were unquestionably the best in the game. There will be that psychological drive to want to gravitate toward the more powerful characters because people will be afraid to do something like try out Felicia or Hulk. Humans by nature hate venturing into the unknown and would prefer to stick to the status quo.
